Having received a certificate of secondary education, Yuri Viktorovich served in the army, worked as a DOSAAF instructor and at the factory, he happened to be in the role of a janitor, a loader in the production workshops of the Moscow Art Theater in Moscow, and only then Belyaev entered the Shchukin Theater School (the course of L. V. Stavskaya). Study continued from 1971 to 1975, after which the young artist was accepted into the troupe of the Moscow Drama and Comedy Theater on Taganka.
Taganka is a special theater, and therefore Belyaev had to create his own style of play. He is known as the performer of the roles of Shuisky in Boris Godunov, Korovyov in The Master and Margarita, Horatio in Shakespeare’s immortal play Hamlet.
