Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (1999), recognized master of film duplication Alexei Alekseevich Zolotnitsky was born in Moscow on June 16, 1949 in a family of film workers. His father, Alexei Vladimirovich Zolotnitsky (1904-1970), was a famous film director, screenwriter, one of the founders of the domestic film duplication, a student of S.M. Eisenstein, and his mother worked at the film studio as an artist. Since the age of 11, A.A. Zolotnitsky took part with his father in dubbing films.

His father, Alexei Vladimirovich Zolotnitsky (1904-1970), was a famous film director, screenwriter, one of the founders of the domestic film duplication, a student of S.M. Eisenstein, and his mother worked at the film studio as an artist. Since the age of 11, A.A. Zolotnitsky took part with his father in dubbing films. At the age of 13, he entered the studio at the Stanislavsky Theatre, where he studied together with Nikita Mikhalkov, Inna Churikova and Ivan Dykhovich. After graduating from the M.S. Shchepkin Theater School at the Maly Theater in 1967, A.A. Zolotnitsky worked at the Mayakovsky Theater, the Moscow Council Theater, and at the invitation of E.P. Garin – at the Screen Actor Theater. Here he was engaged in many performances, the most famous of which are “The Comedy of Errors”, “The Intercessor” and the role of Chatsky in “Woe from Wit”, which he performed 260 times! Since 1989, A.A. Zolotnitsky moved to the Oleg Tabakov Theatre-Studio, where he successfully played in more than fifteen performances.
Since 1971, Alexey Alekseevich Zolotnitsky began to actively star in films. He has appeared in more than thirty-five feature films and television series, the most popular being his role as butler Rogers in the film Ten Negroes (1987) based on the novel of the same name by Agatha Christie.
