Brad Renfro was born on July 25, 1982 in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA. After his parents divorced, his grandmother raised him. At eleven, he played a drug dealer in a school play funded by the National Drug Enforcement Organization, and his work impressed the organizer so much that he recommended Brad to a “talent hunter.” He, in turn, carried out a nationwide casting for Hollywood. Thus, Brad Renfro - who has no acting training or experience - successfully passed the selection and was in the same company with Tommy Lee Jones and Susan Sarandon in Joel Schumacher's film The Client (1994). The play of the young actor received positive reviews that contributed to his career. The next film with Renfro was the melodrama The Medicine (1995), at the same time he played Huck Finn in the film adaptation of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (1995). Then there was the film Sleepers (1996), the lead role in Bryan Singer’s film Able Apprentice (1998). But shortly before the release of this film, the actor was detained by the police - after smoking "weed", he sat behind the wheel. Heroin was also found with him. This trouble with the law did not end: in 2000, Renfro and a friend unsuccessfully tried to steal a yacht. This case ended 2 years probation. Among the recent films in which Brad Renfro starred, can be called “Sadist” (2001), “Summer fun” (2001), “Last contract” (2003).
