Vladimir Natanovich Vinokur, a Russian artist, humorist and TV presenter, was born in Kursk on March 31, 1948, in the family of a construction trust manager and teacher of Russian language and literature, Jews by nationality.
Already in his school years, Vladimir participated in amateur artistic activities and sang in the choir of the Palace of Pioneers. However, he planned to continue the work of his father and graduated from the Kursk Installation College. But later he still chose a creative path and tried to enter GITIS, but failed due to the lack of documents on completed secondary education at that time. The second attempt was successful, after serving in the army, which he held in the ensemble of song and dance of the Moscow Military District. While still a student, Vladimir Vinokur began to perform with song numbers in the circus on Tsvetny Boulevard, and then joined the troupe of the Moscow Operetta Theater, where he met his future wife, then a ballet artist, Tamara Pervakova. In 1974 they married, and in 1985 they had a daughter Anastasia, who graduated from the Moscow State Academy of Choreography and now dances at the Bolshoi Theatre.
Vladimir Vinokur began his parody performances in 1975, and two years later he became a laureate of the All-Russian Pop Artists Competition. After that, his success only increased. He becomes a soloist of “Moskonsert”, performs in the Theater of Pop and in the SCCC “Russia”. In 1984, Vladimir Vinokur was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR, four years later - People's Artist of the RSFSR, and in November 1991 he was appointed Advisor to the Vice-President of the RSFSR for Cultural Affairs. He is also the owner of two orders - "For Services to the Fatherland" III and IV degrees. And in honor of the 50th anniversary of the artist, a star was laid in his name on the Square of Stars near the concert hall “Russia”.
In 1989, Vladimir Vinokur created his own theater of parodies, which since 1997 received the status of state, which he still leads.
