Yuri Mikhailovich Antonov, singer, composer, was born on February 19, 1945 in Tashkent, Uzbek SSR in the family of a soldier.
The military family often moves, and in one of the relocations gets to the Belarusian city of Moldechno, where the musical activity of little Yura begins - his mother brings him to a music school, after which he enters a music school.
Yuri Antonov worked in the Belarusian State Philharmonic, from where he left to serve in the ranks of the Soviet Army. After serving, Yura returns to the Philharmonic and organizes her first musical group.
In 1969, at the invitation, he went to work in the ensemble “Singing Guitars”, where Antonov first tried his hand as a vocalist. In 1971 he moved to Moscow, where he worked in the music hall and orchestra “Contemporary”, then became the head of the VIA “Magistral”.
Fruitfully cooperates with VIA "Funny guys", and even plays keyboards and soloed some concerts. Many of the songs of the VIA of that time were written by Antonov – “If you love”, “Why”, “Meeting”, etc. Then A. Buinov soloed in “Merry Guys”.
Yuri Mikhailovich writes songs for many famous groups – “Red poppies”, “Singing Hearts”, “Earthlings”. And with VIA "Blue Bird" Antonov records a joint album, the songs from which immediately became hits.
Also Yuri Antonov writes songs for a large number of Russian pop artists and for movies, for example - "Fools die on Fridays", "Beauty Salon", "Order" and many others.
Together with guitarist Igor Shablovskiy, Antonov organizes the Airbus ensemble, and songs are recorded - "On Kashtanova Street", "White Ship", "I'm going to meet you", etc.
At programs, concerts and other various music shows, Yuri Antonov performs with the elite of the domestic stage.
