When Ginger was in school, she wanted to become a teacher, but then became interested in the career of her mother, who was involved in film and theater. She often accompanied her mother when she went to the theater, where she wrote reviews, and over time she joined the troupe.
Her career as a stage actress began by accident. The actor Eddie Foy came to the theater to present his vaudevilles to the public. One of the actresses needed a double, which became Ginger. Then followed a tour and work in the theater of the city of Medford, which after a number of years was named in honor of the actress.
When she was 17, she first married Jack Rogers Culpepper, with whom she performed a duet. But the relationship did not work out, and she returns to her old tour.
