Honored Worker of Arts of the RSFSR (1935). Born in 1886. In 1908 he graduated from the Faculty of Law of St. Petersburg University. At the same time he studied dramatic art under Yuriev and V.N. Davydov, singing under I.V. Tartakov. He began his stage activity in 1904 at the V.F. Komissarzhevskaya Theatre in St. Petersburg. In 1909-17 he worked in the theater "Crooked Mirror" (Petersburg). The stage images of Fenin were distinguished by graphic clarity, some rationality. He played various roles: from the tragic image of old Cabot ("Love under the elms") to grotesque roles in operettas. Best roles: Murzuk ("Girofle-Giroflya"), King ("Rosita"), Broserio ("Day and Night" Lekoka), Rist ("Sirocco" Polovinkina "), Pitham ("Opera of the Beggars "), Beggars ", Brecht and Weyl "), Brevovars ("Unknown Soldiers "), Caesar (" Nights ", "Shoot" by Shakespeare "), and others.
