Future Soviet movie star Lyubov Orlova was born in Zvenigorod on January 29, 1902. Her father served in the military department, and her mother was a native of an ancient noble family. Parents always wanted to see their daughter as a professional pianist, so as soon as she was seven years old, they sent the girl to study at a music school.
In 1917, Orlova gave shelter to her mother’s sister, who then lived in Voskresensk. To earn a living, the future star had to sell milk in Moscow, tossing heavy cans in winter with bare hands. After that, he studied briefly at the conservatory, worked as an illustrator in cinematographs and illusions in Moscow, as well as two unsuccessful marriages.
The only education in the field of acting Orlova received in the choreographic studio of Francesca Beata. It was this studio that helped develop Orlova's sensitivity to rhythm, plastic talent and the desire to constantly keep her body in shape. Until the end of her life, Lyubov Orlova worked at the machine every day. From these studio years, Orlova retained a narrow leather belt, which was the standard of waist volume - so that in thirty, fifty and seventy years the waist was like twenty - no more than forty-three centimeters.
From 1919 to 1922, the actress studied at the Moscow Conservatory in the piano class, and from 1922 to 1925 at the Moscow Theatre College in the choreographic department. From 1926 to 1933 she worked at the V.I. Nemirovich-Danchenko Musical Theatre.
In the autumn of 1933 there was a fateful meeting Orlova with "his" director -
"Merry guys" "Circus,"
Volga-Volga "Meeting on the Elbe."
Lyubov Orlov died on January 26, 1975 from pancreatic cancer. Buried in Moscow at the Novodevichy cemetery.
