One of the versions of the death of actor Ted Healy in December 1937 is that he was scored before the death of the Trocadero nightclub by screen legend Wallace Birri, a young Albert Broccoli (later producer of James Bond films), and also the infamous gangster (and cousin) DiCocko. MGM, allegedly by order of the head of the company Louis Bart Mayer, sent Birri to Europe for several months, and time fabricated a story about the beating of Healy “drunk boys from College” to hide the truth.
