Spencer Tracy was born on April 5, 1900. At school, he was a desperate bully, and before becoming an actor, he was going to become a priest, was fond of boxing and basketball, served in the US Navy.
Deciding to become a great actor, Tracy moved to New York. It was a time of great depression and great opportunity. Initially, he was accepted by a janitor in one of the cinemas and gladly took the opportunity to watch movies for free. Then he played a cameo role without a single line in one of the Broadway productions. His first royalty rate was $10 a week.
