December 31, 1923 – September 4, 2010, Moscow. Director, author of such acclaimed films as “Shadows of the Old Castle”, “Rasmus Tramp” based on the work of Astrid Lindgren and “Nemukhinsky Musicians”, as well as a number of television versions of the performances of the Maly Theater and the Moscow Art Theater, which captured the last appearances on the stage of the great “old men” of the Russian theater. A student of Maria Knebel, stood at the origins of technical "revolutions" on domestic television, having developed a technique of multi-camera shooting.
