Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1977). Burenkov was born in the village of Maloye Polozovo, Smolensk region on December 7, 1924. Participant of the Great Patriotic War. In 1946-50 he was a reader and a leading ensemble of the Baltic Fleet. In 1949, Burenkov entered the Shchepkin Theatre School, which he graduated in 1954 and was immediately accepted into the troupe of the Maly Theatre, where he worked until the end of his life. In 1949, Burenkov entered the Shchepkin Theatre School, which he graduated in 1954 and was immediately accepted into the troupe of the Maly Theatre, where he worked until the end of his life.
In the movie, the actor made his debut in 1955 with the role of Medvedev in the musical comedy Andrei Frolov "Guest from Kuban". Burenkov was noticed, and he began to appear often. The first significant work was the role of Fyodor Avdeev in the drama of Mikhail Schweitzer based on the story Tendryakov “Tight knot”. Then followed the dramatic role of Skvortsov in the film Konstantin Voinov “Three came out of the forest”.
