Honored Artist of Russia Oleg Mokshantsev came to the cinema and to the stage from the war, in the most literal sense of the word. However, this was the sign of the postwar years: young people returned from the front and began to live a peaceful life.
He was born in Moscow on New Year’s Eve – December 30, 1924. As soon as he finished the seventh grade, he went to the artillery school, but then the war began and all the cadets were taken to Prokopyevsk. Fortunately or for bad, it was at this point that Oleg fell ill and was returned to Moscow. However, he still aspired to the front and after graduating from the Vladimir Infantry School, he still achieved his goal and became a commander of a rifle platoon. Three months later, Mokshantsev suffered a severe wound, after which he miraculously survived. However, from the army he did not commission and continued to serve in air reconnaissance.
Demobilized, Mokshantsev was finally able to fulfill his dream and enter VGIK. He became a student of B.V. Bibikov and O.I. Pyzhova, together with him Nonna Mordyukova, Vyacheslav Tikhonov, Sergey Gurzo, Vladimir Ivanov, Svetlana Konovalova studied at the course.
After graduating from VGIK in 1950, Mokshantsev becomes one of the actors of the theater-studio of the film actor. It was here that he played the most interesting and diverse roles.
Mokshantsev played a lot in the cinema, but, as a rule, these were episodic and rather similar roles. From his first tapes can be called: “Eagle”, “Coordinates unknown”, “On the roads of war”, “Normandy – Neman”, “Junga from the schooner Columbus”, “Army “Hagtails”,
Mine case eight" . And as the most interesting images created by Oleg Mokshantsev, we can name Rogday in the fairy tale film Ruslan and Lyudmila and the driver Migalkin in the film On Thin Ice. His last roles were in the films “War on the Western Direction”, “The Edge”, “Night Watch”.
It should also be said that Oleg Evgenyevich participated in the sounding of about six hundred paintings. He died on January 22, 2007. /
