Yuri Dubrovin is a Soviet, Russian, Ukrainian actor of cinema and theater.
In 1962, Dubrovin studied at VGIK, becoming an actor of the Dovzhenko Film Studio. Yuri’s diploma work was participation in the film “The Living Dead”. He was worried that the role would fail. In moments of reflection, the actor wandered through the forest, where the scenes of the picture were filmed, one day he lay down on the ground, hugged it and realized the essence of an ordinary person who is not capable of lying to either military commanders or people.
The game was so convincing that Dubrovin was invited to the role of ordinary soldiers and chauffeurs in war films. One of the most successful works was the participation in the film “In war as in war”.

"Road check" Yuri got to play the role of Colonel Bolshakov. This film was attended by actors who made up the history of Russian cinema: Vladimir Zamansky, Rolan Bykov and Maya Bulgakova. Yuri played in low-budget films and diploma films, where not all actors agreed to star, and he agreed, only then they forgot about him. And Dubrovin wanted to act, he lived his own work. In 2007, the actor was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Russia.
