Charming actor with oriental appearance Vladimir Episkoposyan was born in Yerevan on January 21, 1950. His first education was not related to theater and cinema – he studied at the law faculty of Yerevan University. Simultaneously with his studies, he studied basketball, entering the Armenian national team. During his years of training, he got on the set of the film “Akhtamar”, on which the studio “Armenfilm” worked, and unexpectedly for himself played a major role. So Vladimir became an actor.

Vladimir Arusiamovich Episkoposyan received his second education at the Yerevan Art and Theatre School at the acting department. Immediately after graduation, he entered the Stanislavsky Russian Drama Theatre in Yerevan. Then began his first roles in the theater. He made his debut as the Bear in the play Two Maples.
Vladimir Episkoposyan appeared in the cinema in 1980 with a role in
film "Pirates of the XX century" B. Durova. Since then, the actor has played over 60 roles. Mainly because of his colorful appearance, he got the role of bandits. But he didn’t just play negative characters. His roles in Don Giovanni (1985) and Baybars (1985) are also brilliant. There were in his history and humorous roles. One of them belongs to the painting “Seven Days with a Russian Beauty”, where Episkoposyan played the role of a black man.
Vladimir Episkoposyan gained special popularity in the 1990s, when cinema was full of militants. It was in those years that he starred in a large number of films, including St. John's Wort (1990), The Thirty to Destroy! (1992), Retro Three (1998), The Chinese Service (1999), etc. Tall actor with Caucasian appearance perfectly suited to the role of bandits. Because of such one-sided roles and, often, the death of his characters in films, he was dubbed “the main bandit of Russia”, and the Minister of culture jokingly called him “deserved corpse of Russia”.
Vladimir Episkoposyan demonstrated his talents in television series, appearing in the roles of Maroseyka, 12, Border: Taige Romance and What the Dead Said. Recently, a popular actor is engaged in literature. He recently published his autobiographical book, The Main Corpse of Russia. /
