Elena Kondulainen was born in the village of Toksovo (Leningrad region), where immigrants from Germany, England, Sweden and other European countries have long lived. When many people changed their names during the war, Elena’s father did not. The future actress grew up in a forest farm, mastering the wisdom of village life. With peers, she almost did not communicate, except for the school, which had to get through the forest for several kilometers. But there Elena constantly felt national dislike: she was teased, like other Finns. It was much easier to just live in the lap of nature, admiring the fabulous beauty, which Lena did.
Elena’s artistic data appeared in her youth: she danced well and sang, graduated from music school and was going to enter the conservatory. But it turned out differently: Elena became a student of the Institute of Culture and got into the extras in the cinema. Then small roles began, the girl was lured to the acting department, and she became an actress.
When Elena played Marlene Dietrich in the student play “Ah, these stars”, the success was huge: advertising posters with a portrait of the actress instantly ripped off fans. In 1983, Elena Kondulainen received a diploma from LGITMIK and became a member of the troupe of the Leninsky Komsomol Leningrad Theater, from where she moved to the Akimov Comedy Theater, and soon left the stage altogether - she became an actress of the private film studio Diaghilev Center.
The unusual surname prevented Elena from filming: she was not even invited to audition. In
film "Primordial Russia" Kondulainen was claimed under a pseudonym. But when the fashion for everything foreign began, it became easier to work.
In 1990, Elena Kondulainen got into the epicenter of a grand scandal: she starred completely naked in the socio-psychological drama by Hussein Erkenov “One Hundred Days Before the Order”. The picture revealed social problems in the Soviet army, and therefore was banned for a long time. The actress was openly called the sex symbol of the country.
This status was confirmed by another picture with Elena - the erotic melodrama "Dafnis and Chloe". The actress became interested in her scandalous fame - she met friends in a translucent tunic, once she drove around the city naked to the waist. In 1993, Kondulainen created the “Party of Love”, which was joined by Alexander Pankratov-Black, Boris Khmelnytsky, Maria Arbatova. By that time, the actress was already married, but did not find understanding from her husband.
After the divorce, left with a young son in her arms, the actress fell ill with basda disease. There is not a trace of the former beauty. The death of the mother and the serious illness of the son became new trials. But then things got better.
Elena Kondulainen remarried and devotes herself to family and theater. She also plays in movies, choosing for herself not so challenging projects. /
