Honored Artist of Russia, Nikolai Sergeevich Lebedev was born on December 15, 1921 in Moscow in a family of theater workers. After the 8th grade, Nikolai entered the theater studio. Having worked in MTYUZ for two years, Lebedev entered the Moscow Art Theater School. However, despite the successes of the young actor, he was not accepted into the troupe of the Moscow Art Art Theater because of the fact of his imprisonment.
In 1950, Nikolai Lebedev was admitted to the Theater named after Moscow Soviet, where the actor has been working for more than 60 years.
At first, the actor got mainly only secondary roles. At this time, the actor turned to cinema. In 1960, the debut of Nikolai Lebedev, who played a major role in the Soviet-French heroic

After some weakening of interest in the actor, in the early 70s, directors again began to invite him, although, more often for supporting roles.
In recent years, Nikolai Lebedev has focused on theatrical activities.
