Actor and director Kenneth Branagh was born in Belfast on 10 December 1960. When he was 9 years old, his family moved to the city of Reading, where he was initially teased at school for his Irish accent, but Brana soon got rid of him.
In 1978, Kenneth entered the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and graduated brilliantly. He played his first role in the film Chariots of Fire, and then worked for several years in television, as well as in the theater.

"Emma Thompson" , and soon they got married. Their marriage broke up in 1995.
In 1989, Kenneth began his directing career – shooting a project for the film adaptation of Shakespeare’s play Henry V. Brana acted not only as a director, but also as a screenwriter and actor. The film received two nominations for “Oscar” – best director and best performer of the main male role.
Kenneth really enjoyed directing and still makes films. His most famous paintings are Die Again, Frankenstein, Hamlet, four times nominated for an Oscar. In some of the films, he also played a major role.
1998 was a very successful year for Kenneth – he starred in the films Robert Altman “Leshi” and Woody Allen “Celebrity”. But in the next two years, luck turned away from him – the actor was nominated for “Golden Raspberry”, an award for dubious achievements in cinema, for his role in the film “Wild, Wild West”. In addition, at the box office failed his adaptation of Shakespeare’s play “The futile efforts of love”.
But already in 2001, he was nominated for a Golden Globe for his role in the film Conspiracy, and Kenneth received an Emmy. Other successful paintings by Bran – “Shackleton”, “Warm Springs”, “Operation Valkyrie”.
Now Brana continues to play in theater, films and shoot his own paintings.
