English actress Hayley Elizabeth Atwell was born on April 5, 1982 in London. Her mother, Allison Kane, worked as a speaker, and her father had many professions: masseur, photographer, therapist and even shaman. Haley was an only child and Atwell's childhood was quite eccentric. Her mother had many hobbies to which she actively attached her daughter. One day she even signed up for self-improvement courses. The parents divorced when Haley was only two years old, but this did not prevent the further communication of the daughter with her father. For several years, Haley studied at the Zion-Manning Catholic School for Girls, after which she entered the Guildhall Drama Music School. After graduating from this school, she began studying philosophy and theology at King’s College London. Haley then went to Oxford. And in 2005, Pringles filmed Atwell in its commercial, and this Oxford class was over.
Haley’s first major role was in Woody Allen’s film Cassandra’s Dream. In this film, she starred with Evan McGregor and Colin Farrell. In 2008, the audience saw the actress in the historical drama The Duchess and in the film Return to Brideshead, where she played the role of Julia Fly. For her work in these films, the actress was nominated for the British Independent Film Award and the London Society of Film Critics Award.
In 2009, Haley made her West End debut in The View from the Bridge. In 2011, the audience saw the actress in the picture
"The First Avenger" As Agent Peggy Carter.
