Tony Todd was born on March 9, 1954 in Washington. The boy loved to watch westerns about cowboys, Indians and policemen and knew the names of almost all actors of the time. While still in high school, he decided to build a theater career and therefore immediately after graduation he entered the University of Connecticut, and then the National Theatre Institute. The young man was also fond of music and in parallel with theatrical education received music at the Stanford Conservatory.
