Sutherland inherited his acting talent from his parents, Donald Sutherland and Shirley Douglas. Kiefer was born in London on December 21, 1966. After the divorce, Shirley and Donald stayed with his mother, together with her moved to Toronto (Canada), where he received a decent education.
