Pecorini was born on August 10, 1957 in Milan. In his youth, he became interested in photography and began his professional career in 1976 with the work of assistant photographer Olivier Toscani, working in the world of fashion brands and advertising campaigns. However, he soon decided to leave the fashion world and in the early 1980s switched to cinema, although later he shot commercials for companies such as Coca-Cola, McDonald and Nike.
As a cameraman, he was involved in such films as “The French Kiss”, “Lady Hawk”, worked with Oliver Stone, Bernardo Bertolucci and Roman Polanski, shot with Terry Giliam.
