Barry attended correspondence courses in public schools. During his studies he liked to play sports games: rugby, baseball and volleyball, studied ballroom dancing. After graduating from high school in 1988, Barry continued his studies at college, where he studied graphic design and marketing. However, classes in the Vancouver art studio led to the fact that Barry changed profession.
Barry Pepper began his acting career in 1993 with the filming of the television series Madison and participation in other popular TV projects. Later, he began to play in American TV series and in 1996 starred in the famous film Titanic.
