Margarita Vladimirovna Sergecheva was born in the Dnipropetrovsk region in the city of Novomoskovsk on May 24, 1963. The girl’s father was a military doctor, and soon after her birth he was transferred to a small village near Leningrad, so the family had to change their place of residence.

Margot first appeared on the screen at the age of 6 years. He brought Margot to the studio “Lenfilm”, at first she starred in small episodes, and in 1974 she was offered the main role in the film.

In 1984, Margarita graduated from the State Institute of Theatre, Cinematography and Music in Leningrad and went to enter the Russian State Medical University in Moscow. She eventually became a doctor like her parents.
However, in 1997, the actress decided to return to Leningrad and began working in an ambulance, for many years she saved the lives of her patients.
In 2007, Margarita had a stroke, she suffered it hard and could no longer continue to work as a doctor.
