Andre made his film debut in 1989. Together with popular actors Denzel Washington and Morgan Freeman, he starred in the film Glory, dedicated to the Civil War in the United States. His name became known to the general public after he played the role of Detective Frank Pembleton in the TV series “Homicide Department”. The series riveted viewers to TV screens for five years, from 1993 to 1998. The image of the detective became a star for the actor. For this role, he received several awards.
