Igor Sannikov from 1954 to 1984 worked as a saxophonist in the orchestra "Cinema Jazz" in the musical and eccentric ensemble of M. Kachuriner. From 1984 to 1986 he was the director of this ensemble. Together with his wife Alla Semenovna, he began to play in the theater in 1989 in the plays of Boris Lvov-Anokhin ("Tales of Hollywood" Maly Theatre) by Roman Viktyuk ("Our Decameron" based on the play by Edward Radzinsky Theatre named after Yermolova) and others. Together with his wife Alla Semenovna, he began to play in the theater in 1989 in the plays of Boris Lvov-Anokhin ("Tales of Hollywood" Maly Theatre) by Roman Viktyuk ("Our Decameron" based on the play by Edward Radzinsky Theatre named after Yermolova) and others. With the play “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”, he played for 4 months at the Victoria Theatre in Oslo, Norway and also toured in Germany from 93 to 95. The second time he was invited by Lviv-Anokhin to participate in the performance of the New Drama Theatre “The Revenge of the Queen or Novella Margarita of Navarre” (1996). There he also played in the play by Andrei Sergeev “Jurden” based on the play by Moliere “The Philistine in the Nobility” (1998). He starred in many films including “The Bad Anecdote” (1964), “The Republic of Shkid” (1966), “Scarlet Flower” (1991), “Mad Dog” (1991), “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” (Czech Republic 1992), “Kotovasiya” (1997) “Queen of Beauty” (2001) “French” (2003) “Kolkhoz International” (2003). He played particularly notable film roles with Nikita Mikhalkov in the film “Siberian Barber” (1997) and with Alexander Abdulov in the film “New Bremen Musicians” (1999). Soon the TV series “Taxi Driver” with his participation will be released.
His memoirs are being prepared, which will soon be published as a separate book called I Go to the Circus.
He plays the role of Grey, Sancho Panza’s guardian angel in Quixote and Sancho.
