I’m not a big fan of Fury Road, although it’s definitely a great blockbuster, so I didn’t want to touch Furios. But the choice of Ani Taylor-Joy for the lead role seemed curious to me, and I decided to give the film a chance.
So, as you might guess, Furios is the backstory of Furios, a warrior in the service of Immortal Joe. The film tells about the life of the heroine since her childhood, showing in detail the key stages of the formation of Furiosa in the warrior as we know her.
The narration as a whole holds the viewer’s attention very well, even though Furiosa probably utters a dozen words in the entire timeline. However, she does not need this, firstly, to reveal herself as a heroine, and secondly, her verboseness is also one of the facets of the character.
Compared to Fury Road, there's a bit more, so to speak, history. The film does not rush forward as a fuel tanker, but allows itself some deviations in favor of storylines related to the characters. So, again in comparison, Furios doesn’t have the frenzied dynamics of Fury Road. But even so, it is still a very dynamic narrative, saturated with action to the end.
And yes, the action here is still good. In some places, unfortunately, not the best computer graphics are visible, but still in the film there are enough practical effects. Again, the action is more diverse and inventive in my opinion compared to “The Road”, while not limited to one endless pursuit.
Anya Taylor-Joy in the image I liked. There's something so wild about it, some kind of inner power inherent in the character, and in my opinion that's the most important thing. Actually, George Miller said the same thing - in Ana he saw his Furios.
Not a bad role for Chris Hemsworth, who for the first time in my memory played a villain. And the image of a semi-mad and eccentric antagonist succeeded the actor to fame.
What's the result? "Furios" is a good blockbuster, complementing "The Road of Fury." The film came out quite a drive, and for the series “Mad Max” is probably one of the defining things.
George Miller has undoubtedly left his mark on cinema, creating a unique post-apocalyptic universe. “Mad Max: Fury Road” was not just another blockbuster, but a carefully built piece of the puzzle, expanding the horizons of the franchise and giving a new breath of freshness.
No one will even remember the rest of Miller’s paintings, because he devoted his whole life to the wasteland, traveled it back and forth, but still not all the time, once new ideas and thoughts appear on her account.
The film offers us an exciting journey into the very recent past of Furiosa, a charismatic character who played a key role in the events of the previous installment. Her story, full of trials and losses, adds depth to the familiar world. The contrast between a flourishing oasis and a lifeless desert highlights the fragility of civilization and the limitlessness of human cruelty.
In the center of the plot is this desperate warrior girl, a very strong character. But also around it there is a struggle for influence and resources, where the main combat units are the people of the Citadel at the head of the Immortal Joe and the usual wild hermits, who were taken into circulation by Dementus.
But speaking of himself. It was not without controversial points. The character of Dementus, embodied by Chris Hemsworth, evokes mixed feelings. The actor failed to fully convey the madness and charisma of his character. His game seems somewhat strained, especially against the background of other distraught characters who are far from in the first role, but sometimes even pull the blanket over themselves.
If you really wanted to attract a media face, there are a lot of talented guys in Hollywood, even his Marvel friend Chris Evans. I'm sure that the namesake would have been better at times.
Despite this flaw, the film remains a visually stunning sight and holds the very bar that George set for "Dear Fury." Dynamic chases, spectacular explosions and fascinating landscapes create an atmosphere of uncompromising struggle for survival. Miller masterfully balances between entertainment and drama, immersing the viewer in the harsh world of the post-apocalypse. In addition to the wasteland, the director fills the world with new props, showing us other settlements and a slightly cherished oasis.
It’s nice to feel that the beloved franchise, which originated a long time ago, continues to live, evolve into something new and no less beautiful. And yes, Tom Hardy, we're waiting for you in the next old movies. Thank you for giving us a red word at the end of the picture.
Furios: The Chronicles of Mad Max Well, "Furiosa" was better than "The Biggest Moon" (I know it's weird to compare both different movies, but come on!) And yes, I went to the movies, but for the last 8 minutes I watched it at home! We turned off the lights in the whole TV station at that moment and the evacuation began, of course, sad for the fact that I did not watch it in the cinema, but received an invitation to any film, and by the way, on August 9, I will go on this invitation to the film “Borderlands” for free, but that’s another story! Now, after the precondition, we move on to the film! Visually, Furios looks great! Atmosphere, scenery clear to 10. The action scenes are also beautifully staged, but here is the plot. No, the plot is as good as the film itself, but not a masterpiece! In principle, it is interesting, not boring, I did not want to yawn on this film and 140 minutes flew by quickly. The graphics were not bad, you can see that in some scenes she limped, but it is not so terrible! I went to "Furios" and decided to watch it only because of Ani-Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth and Anya-Taylor bead, it played perfectly, and the hero of Hemsworth (Dementus) is a mad and cruel person, and Hemsworth for me so used to this role that I was very disgusted with his character. The other actors played their roles as well. Well, the soundtrack from Junkie XL is simply gorgeous! As a result, Furios is a good, entertaining and interesting blockbuster! As someone who hasn’t seen Mad Max movies, I’m still in shock that Furios came to me, and when it came out, I thought it would be a 4 out of 10 dream, but I was wrong! It’s a pity the movie failed at the box office, but I hope one day we’ll see another Mad Max! I'm putting "Furios" 8 out of 10 and recommend it!
If you say that a lot of crap and stupidity, it will be too soft. The whole movie is one big piece of crap that has nothing to do with reality. But it's great, but it's a beautiful picture, it's not enough for me to keep watching.
Hollywood, and the entertainment industry as a whole, is in turmoil. They are in enviable perseverance stepping on the same rake, hoping that the time will come and everything will work out in accordance with their ideas.
Here we have a classic example of how the franchise, which since its inception was interesting mainly to a specific group of viewers, which were primarily teenagers and middle-aged men who liked the harsh post-apocalyptic world with almost primitive foundations, where the key to survival was a ruthless and severe struggle for few resources. And where the main character is a few words cold-blooded, but not yet lost humanity, but merciless to enemies masculine Max Rokatanski, whom the guys wanted to be like.
And suddenly, in accordance with modern trends, the universe of Mad Max changed gender, throwing overboard the one around whom the entire franchise was built. But this was not enough, it was even necessary to put Furios and Max on the same level, it was necessary to betray the new heroine simply epic coolness, so that she did not cover the shadow of Max. And she gives a coolness at the level of a superhero, dexterous as Spiderman, chews through the hoses in a metal plough, shoots for a hundred meters without a miss, does not feel the pain of monstrous wounds and injuries, drives any technique as a "shoemaker", etc. Well, he identifies himself as a fighter for all oppressed women on the planet with these cruel, inhuman men. Nothing can stop her.
As a result, we have instead of the image of a lonely survivalist, a vengeful revolutionary.
The only thing that brightens up this whole opus is the action, which is just pleasant to watch, although the quality of the overall performance seemed to me worse than the Road of Fury.
What's the result? The audience appreciated another statement promoting modern social progressive ideas using an inappropriate base for this? Judging by the fees and timid reviews, once again the number did not work, as well as before it did not work with new Terminators, the latest phases of the MCU, new Star Wars films and TV series, etc.
Those who like Mad Max's universe don't see anything interesting without Max Rokatanski. As a result, the main fanbase either ignored the film or remained unhappy with the result. But the film did not attract a new audience, for which apparently they started this version with a strong female character, the potential new audience is not very interested in this universe of desert "vagrants".
As a result, the film is not made for whom. I didn’t like the first and didn’t like the second.

Passable in its essence, a film with “fashionable” in our time, using a recognizable franchise to promote some ideas. It is worth watching only a couple of action scenes that you can watch in isolation from the rest of the film.
Furiosa's backstory. Much weaker than the Fury Road. The story's a bit thinner. Most importantly, the spirit of the Road Warrior has disappeared. The universe remained and the spirit disappeared. Let’s not even say that Max began life in a post-apocalyptic society, where many signs of civilization were still preserved and only in the second part of the post-apocalypse dispersed in full force. And according to the chronology of Furios should grow up in this society. It turns out that Max at the time of meeting her should have been 100 years old. But let’s write this nonsense off, because the second Max from this reality already fell out. What is more important here is that even in the first three Maxes shot for three pennies there was a nerve of real life. Even the comic book Third Max. And this nerve was preserved in the Road of Fury. And Furiosa turned out to be a clean, undisturbed comic. Most importantly, it's pretty cheap. Yeah, more money, lower price. It happens. In Fury Road, Miller rocked a long-forgotten old-school stunt action. There was enough graphics, but it was still a live movie. And in Furios, almost everything is done on a computer and not very well done, because the graphics cut the eye. Here even people jumping out of a standing car are made on a computer. That is, there is absolutely no room for a live trick. Of course, there is action, but you can see that this is a cartoon. And that's why I'm so excited. How did he take it off?! How did they do it?! you don’t know. You can draw anything. The film’s budget is even higher than Fury Roads. But there were stars of the first magnitude - Hardy and Theron. And the budget has clearly been severely undermined by their fees.
Heroes in Furios also turned out to be less bright and characteristic. The eyes of Ani Taylor-Joy, of course, helped. But you didn't. Immortal Joe is completely lost, he's hardly here. Praetorian Jack appeared, fought, led Furiosa on the path of rage. And just as happily ended his days without causing much distress. And Dementus, played by Chris Hamsworth, turned out to be some kind of semi-comic character, not a real villain. In addition, Hamsworth for some reason made up as Cherkasov, made up as Ivan the Terrible.
In general, the breakthrough that occurred on Fury Road, and inspired hope that Miller will be able to return to the screens the outgoing genre of a powerful old-school fantasy action movie, Furiosa closed. This is exactly what a modern craft, drawn on a computer and has no soul.
I'm not saying it's a bad movie. It is quite possible to watch it in relaxation. There is nothing special about it.
The road of rage is a little more expressive and atmospheric, but Furios tries to keep the bar. In general, the whole cycle, the old trilogy, and the new "roads" are good. Some movie is better, some worse, but I remember them all.
"Furios" - The triumph of adrenaline and visual skill!
Furios: The Chronicles of Mad Max is a typical popcorn movie with an impressive visual design that is worth watching on the big screen. In this film, George Miller decided to further develop the ideas left behind in Fury Road. We’ll finally be able to see Gastown and Lead Farm, as well as a little bit of insight into the complex power triangle trading system. The appearance of the legendary truck, sparkling in the sun like a chrome lollipop, also adds to the visual effect. The director again immerses the viewer in the post-apocalyptic world of “mad Max”, it is worth admitting that in terms of entertainment, “Furios” looks even better than “Fury Road”, with spectacular choreography and super impressive tricks. George Miller, always striving for perfection in the field of visual effects, used neural networks to create an unforgettable cinematic experience, an example of this is the work with Anya Taylor-Joy, whose facial features were virtually integrated into the image of Alila Brown, creating unrivaled character recognition.
The real find of the film is the ambitious leader of the biker army, Dementus (Chris Hemsworth), and his victim, a silent girl (Alila Brown), who eventually becomes the indomitable Furiosa. If you close your eyes to the fake nose, Hemsworth is great as a charismatic villain, his character is both comical and intimidating. Dementus, with its bizarre attributes: a chariot of three motorcycles and chained toy bear - leaves an unforgettable impression.
One of the strongest sides of the film are the chase scenes, which amaze with their scope and complexity. These multi-layered action scenes, developing on several levels simultaneously, occupy a significant part of the timekeeping and represent a real cinematic art. Viewers feel the heat and roar of engines, adrenaline literally oozes from each frame.
The script sags in places, the story of Furiosa in the Citadel, where she pretends to be a guy - a weak plot move, unless the residents around are blinded. Metaphysical passages and pseudo-philosophical dialogues do not add depth and persuasiveness to the already loose scenario. In the end, a little too much with the chatter of the main antagonist, but the scene with a sprouted tree leveled the final dialogue that began to to tow.
Miller managed to create a film that starts instantly as soon as someone presses the gas, and that splendor continues until the very end of the final chase. “Furios: Chronicles of Mad Max” is a bright, dynamic and glossy rich film, which, without a doubt, will become a new favorite of fans of the genre and all who appreciate high-quality entertaining cinema.

Epic car action movie about post-apocalis with philosophical and political allegories
European, especially French, socialists have strange traits. They preach ecology, nature-conformity and almost primitive communism.
So the film “Furios” begins with how the main character, who biblically picked the forbidden fruit, was kidnapped by bikers on motorcycles. To save her, jumping on a horse, went his mother.
That is, bad people race on motorcycles with roaring engines, and good people ride horses.
But in order to return Furiosa, her mother is forced to kill and so she goes to the “dark side of the force” and transplants to the bike of the deceased.
Next, the crucifixion will be shown on a tree, much like the first Christians in biblical antiquity. The analogy is also emphasized by the presence of a character dressed in black clothes and a helmet with Satan’s horns.
Everyone wants to know the location of a kind of Eden (the birthplace of Furiosa) - the place where wind farms work, ride horses, walk in tunics and everything is enough. This seems to be how the American-French socialists imagine communism.
Then the focus of the plot shifts to the confrontation of the two dictatorships. On the one hand, there is a proletarian charismatic leader who refers in his slogans to Marxism. He was brilliantly played by Chris Hamsworth. He wears a red cloak and is friends with the likeness of anarchists (just their leader wears a devil costume).
On the other hand, the religious dictator in estate society is the Immortal Joe, known to viewers on the Road of Fury.
Filmmakers seem to hint at the confrontation between two totalitarianisms - fascism and communism. Both are bad because there is extreme violence, oppression, hunger and injustice. At the same time, we know from the beginning of the Road of Fury, to which side in the course of his misadventures Furios will join.
Then the movie shows an obvious reference to the Trojan horse, and also love is quite touching.
The film ends with philosophical arguments about the nature of violence, about how the pain of losing relatives calls for revenge, generates madness and spiritual death.
The movie is epic. Music, visual, battles, stuntmen - everything is magnificent and delightful!
And the plot has a notable failure. For a moment, Furiosa becomes Helena the Beautiful for both dictators. She runs away from one of them, but not far away, and everyone forgets about it. That is, she lives and sleeps among half-mad men who have a constant adrenaline hunger. They see that she is a woman and do not even try to possess her. The dictator tried, but then quickly forgot about it. And when the heroine appeared to be an assistant to his subordinate, the lustful villain did not recognize her, did not even specify who she was and where she was from.
The philosophy of the picture, most likely, as well as the general message, lies in symbolic shots, where a new Eden is formed on the oppression of villains or those who in the eyes of the main characters are villains. Controversial in general.
To sum it up, this epic car-fighting film takes on lofty meanings and leads to an understanding of the scarcity of modern European philosophy. But you can watch. And if you don't think about it, let alone. Especially against the background of other modern Hollywood films, this movie stands out positively and there is something to talk about after watching. Especially when it is beautiful and cheerful.
Oh, yeah! The English-language trailer shows that the Russian dubbing missed a number of important artistic accents. It's never happened again!
The feminist prequel to the universe restart came out darker and more angry than the previous film. Taylor-Joy took the main thread of the narrative into her wiry hands. Chris Hemsworth was put on a nose and turned into an infantile super-villain anarchist.
The world of wasteland is controlled by three enclaves producing food, fuel and weapons. Three whales that will hold the Earth until the end of humanity. There is also a utopian settlement controlled naturally by women. From there, Furios and fell into slavery, from where the strength of spirit and perseverance broke into a self-sufficient unit, without leaving the dream of a homeland. But the nosey biker Dementos begins to ruin all plans and break the universe, adjusting to his unpredictable worldview.
Surprisingly, the LGBT agenda is not affected. You guys like fuirosite.
In general, it turned out a good brutal fantastic action movie, full of freakish characters, cool cars, explosions, violence and pieces of human flesh. Even Taylor-Joy fit in nicely. Although, she did not have to talk much, and her face was almost always covered with combat coloring.
For nine years, fans of the original film have been waiting for this film. To say I’m a big fan of George Miller’s adaptation of Mad Max or the original movies is probably a bit too much. But the "new Max" has been reviewed several times and each time received great pleasure. And, frankly, the prequel about Furiosa, the very girl who in the first part was played by the beautiful Charlize Theron, of course, was waiting. True, this is such a prequel that Furiosa will appear at a fairly young age, so Charlize, alas, will not have to see this tape.
Before us is a real cool action movie with a lot of very high-quality action, with a very decent camera job and such a cool picture that it is simply impossible to break away from the screen. Someone will say that we saw all this nine years ago and it is already boring, and Furios in this regard is not surprising. He’ll be right, but I won’t agree at all! I have never seen anything like this except the first one. This is why I miss this visual.
If the first Max was a real chaos of action in the good sense of the word, which plunges the viewer into the very sandstorm of chase, explosions and drive, practically without explaining any bits of the storyline, then Furios, with all the same quite simple and understandable development of events, by and large, can be a book-explanation of the events of the first part. But, it is worth noting that the action, chase, explosions and drive in this tape is also enough.
I really enjoyed watching this picture. Maximum drive and maximum emotion. The real attraction of the post-apocalypse - just have time to throw popcorn. Of course, in many ways, this topic should be loved and it is obviously not ten out of ten (and not even nine because of the rather flat and protracted pathos dialogue in the final), but you can look at such a picture, qualitatively made, exceptional in its style, endlessly.
Remember in Fury Road, Furios was obsessed with revenge, hated Immortal Joe, and in the end killed him with the words, 'Remember me?' People who write positive reviews don’t remember. Neither Furios nor her revenge.
I was really looking forward to the moment when we finally figured out the roots of her hatred for Joe at Furios. But, without spoilers, it turns out that Joe is a perfectly adequate, harsh, calculating ruler in the established hierarchy of the Wasteland. Moreover, it was Joe who did everything to make Furiosa’s life work out. The citadel was kinder to Furios than the whole Wasteland put together.
And revenge, it turns out, deserved a completely different character. This is the whole new movie.
I'm sorry, but the film is filled with such a scripted slob, as if it was all written on the knee. The way Furiosa lost her arm is actually an episode on the verge of 'We haven't figured out how to edit it.' He's absurd, he's just stupid. And then she unscrewed the wheel. . .
Characters appear to become the cardboard background for Ani-Taylor Joy and then disappear. What will become of her praetorian accomplice? Try to answer this question after the movie.
There's an episode in Asterix and Obelix where a voiceover says, "The next action is so violent that we'll show you a crab documentary instead." Miller either for lack of material, or because of the infirmity of the editor also resorts to this technique at the climax.
Yes, we will be shown all three pillars of the Wasteland, but how they live there, what they live - no, just general plans with not always good graphics. Was it worth making a movie for two and a half hours? Or is it just a concept book?
Remember Holkenborg's chic music series? Forget it. Here only his responses, and most of the time indistinct half silence.
Before watching, I was very worried about Hamsworth and his clown look. To be honest, I was worried. Against the background of the general dampness of all the material, Hamsworth looks like a pearl. His pretentious masculinity and expressive idiocy look like a drop of that Max, which now is only worth longing for.
Do you remember the great chases? Here one was generally shown from afar by one plan. Like, you've seen it before.
Should I watch this movie? Once, maybe. Should we keep doing that? Definitely not. Otherwise it will be like Spielberg with Indiana or Scott with Alien or Wachowski with The Matrix.
Yes, "Fury Road" also sometimes gave out strange precipitous episodes. But here the whole movie is sewn from such episodes, and a full-fledged narrative is practically absent.
Either you die a hero, or you live until you become a villain. It's the same story with movies, it just might not work. Furiosa is just not a good movie. If there were no Fury Road, there would be no questions. But there was a movie, right? And we remember him. And I want to go to the director, rip off the mask of the brilliant George Miller, show Fury Road and ask: Remember her?
Spoiler: I forgot to add it. So we'll be looking at Furiosa standing on the road and planning to come home in complete silence.
Start with the girl for almost an hour. Thank you, we realized that Furiosa is strong and independent, not at the request of the writer. No drive, just an endless chase and also acquaintance with the main characters of the format of hello-bye.
Heroes - cardboard, no charisma, Stanislavsky would not believe them. The only charismatic character is trucker Jack, but he is in the film for 15 minutes. There are no interesting conversations.
The plot is as simple as 3 kopecks, but now no one races one way and then back. And to show the redistribution of the world between different gangs and the mega war did not have enough budget, although the film is just about that.
Action is somewhat reminiscent of the road of rage, but in fact a typical shooting range in the wild west, Nevsky approves. A couple of good scenes for a couple of minutes for the entire timekeeping.
Good: great costumes and makeup, 3rd plan, slightly reveals the universe of Fury Road, cars near look great.
About the bad: show them up close extremely rarely, the graphics in the film a lot, and the quality of it is just horror. The film looks like the last parts of the House of Evil, not Mad Max.
Honestly, the fact that he failed warms the soul may be less parasitic on the original creations. Fan parodies sometimes make better, and here it seems even the director was and actors brought. The score is stretched for the universe, but negative, for what was done to it.
"When everything goes to hell, you have to adapt."
I immediately liked the Mad Max story because of the simple story of revenge in the post-apocalypse world. In the first three parts in the title role shone Mel Gibson, and in the spin-off he was replaced by Tom Hardy. Of course, the reboot of this universe with the former director has benefited this franchise.
I did not expect anything fantastic from Furiosa, but I hoped that it would be at least average against the background of other similar films of recent years. Honestly, I do not really like Anya Taylor-Joy, probably because of her unusual appearance and peculiar, low-emotional play. However, in this role she looked very interesting and coped well with his task.
And Chris Hemsworth even surprised in his funny and funny ways. Personally, he reminded me of Jason Mamoa from the Fast and Furious series, it would be very interesting to see them together in such incarnations of crazy antagonists with primitive motives.
Unlike the previous film, this one was more vivid and less serious. Not very realistic scenes at first slightly repulsive, and then even begin to fascinate. In 2.5 hours, you never have time to distract from the screen due to intense storytelling and endless action. Not everyone likes movies divided into parts, but I think it’s convenient and even right. The film is not brilliant, but you get everything from it that you expect from high-quality action. Furious, swallow the dust!
The penultimate film with Tom Hardy is one of my favorite films in principle, it perfectly combines explosive action, with a minimum of dialogue and a very simple plot - in this perfect balance, the film exists and looks “hurrah” for two hours without exception, without sagging for a second.
I was very much looking forward to Furios, given that the director is the same. Expected at least the same thing as the "Rage Road" and received a liquid gravy in the face.
The plot here is also simple, Furios is stolen by some men from a feminist paradise where everything is good, where women are warriors, and men are slaves? And 3 bikers steal her from there, when they arrive at a place where their type of base, they are killed by women pursuing Furios warriors, but this is the place where Furios lived. But no one can find these 3 bikers. You can’t go anywhere near where the bikers came from, why? Well, you just can't.
And since it is impossible, everyone in the film just forget about this green paradise.
The first hour of the film is drawn by one Hemsworth, he plays well, he has a good charismatic character, he generally pulls out the whole film when he appears in the frame, and the first hour is the hour about little Furios, not Anna-Taylor Joy, but she is a child, and he is very uninteresting, if there were not a lot of Hemsworth in this hour, I would turn off this film, honestly.
The remaining hour and a half of the film is Anna-Taylor Joy, and he is also boring, but there is at least an action and that’s the problem – the action in Fury Road is inventive and you can see that there is almost no graphics, and the action in Furios graphics well half somewhere and it is very depressing, painful and boring.
I can't even explain what's wrong with him, but he doesn't look like he did on Fury Road.
Another problem is Furiosa’s love line, she likes a man who is just a copy of a CRAZY MAX and every time they meet with glances, it is shown in close-up and they look at each other, such shots in the film of 10, I don’t know why it was necessary, but in the film it looks very foreign.
He’s dressed like crazy Max, looks like crazy Max, he even has a cut like crazy Max, I don’t know, it smells like schizophrenia already.
And I admit, for the last half an hour, I've been looking at X3 speeds, and it's such a depressing sight. Metamorphoses of Furios in the film is not particularly noticeable, the character turned out to be quite stone, coarse as a tree, it is funny that the metamorphoses of the character of Hemsvort are much more interesting than Furios herself, literally as if this film was about Hemsworth, just at the last moment decided to make it about Furios for the sake of the agenda.
His character changes externally, the color of the clothes changes during the film, and the darker she is, the more "evil" decisions he makes during the film - this is cool, but Furiosa, well, she finally shaves her head, so catch the audience interesting to you? I'm not.
I put 5 out of 10 in the movie because of Hemsovrt and showed Mad Max himself. Everything else is just terribly boring and uninteresting.
And in some story moments, you just say, 'How did she do that?'
The key word around which everything revolves is not enough.
Hemsworth's charisma is not enough. Comrade artist well did not portray his villain, although the writers clearly prescribed a good image - Dementus is not like Immortal Joe. There were clearly internal contradictions in the madness, but Chris did not show them.
Not enough memorable scenes. The action is fine, but you can’t say that there is a scene like the chase with going into a sandstorm from the previous film. Or other powerful episodes. Not to say that it upsets, but somehow I counted on more after so many years of expectations.
Not cool enough joy. When one of the dissatisfied (to me absolutely irrelevant) artists was cast as Furiosa, I was surprised. Charlize Theron is much more powerful and she really portrayed a powerful warrior. And Mamzeli did not work out much - she does not pull such roles. Not an action hero.
And here's the big deal, this one with timekeeping. The picture is too long and heavy. Especially at the end.
Not to say that the film is bad, but to revise his special desire does not arise. I’ve seen it in the cinema 5 times.
The film was probably ruined by the production hell or the producers who put pressure on Miller. In any case, the continuation of the saga is very desirable. But it is important that it be meaningful and not in a hurry.
Furios: The Chronicles of Mad Max is certainly not just another prequel, but an attempt to expand and deepen the world created by George Miller. Unfortunately, this attempt is not always successful. The film, like a sandstorm, sweeps everything in its path, but it is not always clear where it is going.
The action takes place 45 years after the global catastrophe. A young Furiosa from a peaceful oasis finds herself drawn into the brutal world of Dementus, the leader of the Biker Horde. Miller tries to build a complex narrative, interweaving the past and present of the heroine, but does not always successfully balance between action and character drama.
Visually, the film is impressive. Desert landscapes, mutilated remnants of civilization and bizarre vehicles create an atmospheric world. However, sometimes it seems that the visual component prevails over the plot, distracting attention from the development of the characters.
The action scenes are undoubtedly the film's forte. Chases and battles are staged with scale and technical virtuosity. However, some of them seem redundant and do not always move the plot forward.
The Junkie XL soundtrack adequately complements the visual range, but does not always reach the emotional heights of the music from Fury Road.
Anya Taylor-Joy as Furiosa demonstrates a convincing performance, although at times she lacks the charisma brought by Charlize Theron in the previous film. The rest of the cast cope with their roles, but some characters remain under-revealed.
The main drawbacks of the film are uneven pace and protractedness. Miller is often drawn to detail at the expense of narrative dynamics. Some scenes seem redundant and could be cut without sacrificing the plot.
Despite attempts to deepen the mythology of the Mad Max universe, the film does not always successfully reveal new facets of the world. Some plot twists are predictable, and philosophical aspects sometimes seem superficial.
Furios: The Chronicles of Mad Max is a spectacular but uneven prequel. It offers an impressive visual experience and several memorable action scenes, but does not always achieve the emotional depth and tempo integrity of Fury Road. The film will likely satisfy fans of the franchise, but may disappoint those who expected something more innovative and profound.
If, as it is said somewhere, all life is a struggle for a place under the sun, for the right (I will add) to remain in history, then life in the Wastelands is a cruel struggle for the right to simply be, to exist. The value of human life here is leveled to meek self-sacrifice in the name of a common cause. After all, toasty soldiers smeared with whitewash, spraying gilding on their teeth from an aerosol can, i.e. silver, leave not with the words "For Stalin!", but with the cry "Remember me!" The request, of course, for proforma, disappears in vain. Nobody remembers anyone here. Life will crush anyone, step over and continue in its turn. What is surprising is that the animal rushes everyone and everyone. Diet, landscapes, as well as other conditions in the form of some cultural leisure here clearly do not shine with delights. At the same time, we do not observe reflective characters tormented by some existential questions of being. For everyone, except maybe the gray-haired historian, Dementus' assistant, it's pretty simple. In many knowledge there are many sorrows. (Ecclesiastes)
It is rather strange to hear from some colleagues-cinephiles reproach the picture in insufficient action. George Miller, with all, again, an unusually extended timekeeping, does not chew snot, but immediately, without swinging, throws into the thick of active events. After all, we do not even see, as it usually happens, the measured life-being of a girl in her native oasis for seed: there are raiders, chase, death and slavery. And then the flywheel, once launched, with the crown perturbations of the gasoline tanker, catavasia in the quarry of the Lead Farm, where the likeness of Counter Strike with a sniper rifle, etc., spins non-stop. After all, even the mutilated, wandering through the desert of Furios, when she is picked up, so I understand, by Mad Max (Max's cameo), waking up, in the earthen cave, where the old woman takes worms from the cadaver limbs for food, does not spend a minute there for healing. Moving, moving.
Taylor-Joy is a good choice. The actress stands out for her detached face. It helps a lot to believe her indifferent perception of adversity, dulled (well, well, carefully concealed, so to speak) by living in all this aggressive environment feelings. Hidden, because the emotional slack in some places, say, in the episode of a tete-a-tete conversation with the driver of the gasoline truck Jack, the heroine gives out, trusts him, so to speak, exclusively. And then again, self-control. The young lady who played Furios as a child will clearly be deprived of attention. At least because her performance (with such a childish deep look) is superimposed by many events without her participation, and is remembered, as you know, the latter. So I'll mark it in my review. Alila Brown. Marked. In general, Miller solves the problem of age transition. Usually we are told in the credits that so many years have passed. Here we see how the wig of the girl who eluded Rictus Erectus with his help remains in his hands, and then falls off a cliff, clings to the bitch, and in the accelerated rewinding of time the bitch grows and turns green. With a wig. So much for the years gone by. Here you are, by the way, and the inclusion of some lyrics in this tooth crushing.
Definitely to Hemsworth, this make-up hooked nose looks great. Let him walk like that. His hero, of course, is quite humorous, grotesque. In some ways it resembles the characters of Millar in Soviet fairy tales. And this feature, it seems, is designed to reduce the oppressive effect of all these atrocities on the viewer. After all, a wide rental after all, a movie for the masses, entertainment. Well, at least remember how Dementus bloodthirsty orders to torture two poor people for a long time. And already at the end of these very tortures, he sits on the hood and is already shaking all over with the horror of his act. Et nihil humanum est, Miller tells us. Miller, Millard... Something Freudian. After all, it is necessary to inspire fear, first, subjects, authority, therefore excesses.
Yeah, that's good old-fashioned ultraviolence. It is important that we are not pretentious, which is nice, militant. There is no such annoying solemnity. When they get something out of you. The guys are just doing their day job: fighting for resources, without any fanfarony (excluding Dementus, understandably). There is no such thing as Zimmerism. In my opinion, there is no special music here, or it is not annoying. It's like ramming beats beat a deaf rhythm only occasionally. Try again to make a spectacular action without flavoring it with powerful musical parts. And this stinginess of giving, of giving, essentially brings us closer to realism. As much as possible in a fantastic movie. That is, Miller consciously and intelligently sacrificed these "cheap" blazing tricks, for which I do not like a lot of box-office blockbuster moves. And this one who fails (m-yes) in the rental:

I’ve never been a big fan of the series, the original three films have been very hard to come by, and a slightly better recent fourth with Tom Hardy succeeding Mel Gibson. I think it has something to do with their director, George Miller, whose work outside of the franchise didn’t appeal to me either, even though it included the iconic Eastwick Witches (1987).
In my opinion, in the last two Maxes there is a great visual, delightfully crazy images and ideas, cool characters, but a completely primitive and sometimes frankly stupid plot, not burdened with dramatic authenticity and with well-established characters. In fact, these are fanfictions with canonical images, which in the course of action do not learn anything and do not change. And even the story of Furiosa’s life told in the new film and the attempts to show her becoming a person are, from a dramatic point of view, not at all plausible, as in my opinion. Well, there is some discrepancy in the sense of cinematic rhythm between Miller and me - I am frankly bored to watch his films.
As for "Furiosa", one of the advantages can be noted, grandiose in its scale and duration of the action scene, excellent camera work, the art department worked to fame, and Chris Hemsworth with a slightly changed appearance, whose efforts there was the only memorable character.
But all this beauty is external - the eyes quickly get used to a beautiful picture, on action scenes I barely won in the fight against sleep, and Hemsworth with his charisma there is absolutely nothing to play here. The plot is very scattered in time and essentially consists of several separate stories with different characters, each of which has its own set, development and culmination. Because of this, the dynamics of the narrative suffers greatly.
I did not like the choice of the creators for the title role. Charlize Theron in this image looked much more profitable, and Anya Taylor-Joy loses to her in all articles both externally and charismatically. But I think it's more a matter of taste.
In general, not my movie is boring and godlessly drawn up to 2.5 hours, for such timekeeping semantic content is rather scanty.

Without lengthy prefaces, I will begin with the main thing in which the very idea of Furiosa as the central character is defeated - such a film already existed, and it was Fury Road.
Back then, back in 2015, many were inflamed with righteous anger at what many viewers thought was his attempt to promote modern Western trends. And indeed, the character Theron stood out much stronger against the background of the coarse muscles of the detached, confused and lost in self-digging character Hardy.
I think it could not have been an author’s idea. Especially symbolic in this light are the stories about the constant conflicts of Hardy and Theron on the set in order to show who is more dominant here. There is also an unhealthy bias towards the female beginning.
In my opinion, this film should not be taken at all as a precursor or continuation of BM 2015. There is a feeling that Miller was interested in telling a new story, and the connection with the previous film was sewn with white threads just to be. Because if you look at the movie as a prequel, it's going to be a pretty big failure. It is completely unclear why Furios in BM 2015 so wants revenge on the Immortal. The importance and seriousness of her attempt to escape with concubines-"wives" fades.
If we consider the film as an independent work of art, then everything falls into place. And the title of the film is just a connecting element necessary to attract an audience. It's actually a film about Dementus! And his adventures. In the intervals between which we for some reason show the boring fledgling Furios and her acquaintance with the same boring partner, who behind the scenes by gluing sharply turns from a simple girl into a talented mechanic, to a heap of able to think strategically. With the latter, of course, thank you for a short training with Dementus with his unexpected ways out of any situation.
And here it is important to note that in the 2015 BM, the powerful character disclosure was due to the greater effect of presence and narrative integrity. The core scene was the rapprochement of Max and Furiosa after a rather nervous acquaintance. And this scene gave a feeling of coolness pressing into the chair, when the former 10 minutes ago rivals suddenly became forced allies, realizing that they had nothing to share here and their goals were basically one.
The problem with Furiosa is that this integrity is very much lacking. On the contrary, there are gaps that break it and alienate the viewer from the story. These are sharp transitions of the girl’s growing up, and elementary illogicalities in the scenario where the only girl known to us turns out to be quite his own among solid men (women were shown to us only in the Dementus gang, and no one leads with lime-smeared mustache that someone does not live among them). After all, as we know from the fiction of the 90s in the future, locker rooms will be joint, and apparently it does not even matter that we have an apocalypse in the yard. And even huge holes where one of the Immortal's wives disappears without anyone noticing. Apparently, none of the leaders did not serve in the army and do not conduct evening verifications there, and the dictatorship of the cult is also called the “Dictatorship”.
And there are some very exciting scenes that I want to applaud. Here the director simply stunningly immerses in a separate scene with the help of location design, interior, costumes and angles, as well as with the help of unobtrusive sound accompaniment. Examples are a trip with a Historian in a cage, or Furiosa's hit in a bunker, or Dementus' chaotic encounter with the Immortal. But just the cool moment of the introduction of the Trojan with riding a chariot of motorcycles (what a creative fantasy!) like the Roman commander Dementus. And, again, logical, given the existence of a historian in his group.
And here it is necessary to accept the fact that several personalities coexist in each person. And if they conflict, it is called schizophrenia (interestingly it is shown in x/f "Split" with the same Anya Taylor-Joy, which is ironic).
And if you look at Furios from this point of view, you can see that there are two films in it.
One is an action-packed action movie about a charismatic leader of a gang of scumbags with an interesting political component even more elaborated than in the previous part and interesting allusions to the real world - a cult dictatorship, an organized hierarchical structure capable of stable maintenance of order with its structure and interesting details and characters, confronts a lower-level chaotic anarchist gang in which, again, irony, everything rests, yes, on a charismatic and resourceful leader.
Actually, among all the other (anti-)heroes, the tricksterism of Chris Hemsworth holds on his shoulders and cements the whole picture. And the burnout of his character by the end is an absolutely natural result of any villain - played and fed up with corruption.
And the second is a generally boring story of growing up and revenge of a girl, full of holes and contradictions. And here, to some extent, there's a sense that this part of the film can be seen as a metaphor, a message that you need to reduce the role of a man. I mean, we have a women's society here, and that's why it's so cool, all this green energy, and men have wars for gasoline and hierarchy with violence. The tree from the crotch in the final as a completely ugly vulgarity with a claim to symbolism. You can see 'they're out there' in the West running the roof from the effects of brainwashing with all this. It is a dead end because of the misunderstanding of where to really lead humanity. That’s very funny, considering what’s in the movie. And this part, unfortunately, more.
And in this sense, it is a shame that the film as a work of art, in some places being, in my opinion, albeit to a lesser extent than BM 2015, a visual masterpiece now and then falls into the plot holes and just stumbles in the inability to keep pace. This is generally the main problem of the film – there is no integrity that was in BM 2015, where the accents were clearly placed and put together, that is, where there was just a stunning joint work of a sound editor, composer, screenwriter and director, which allowed to “unwind” such scenes as the chase after a combat truck at the beginning and the chase of the Porcupines and Joe after the canyon.
Here there are no such powerful eyeliners, the composer as if not Tom Holkenborg again, and the scenes of the chase, scary to say, ordinary, “do not shoot”. You can see that the whole picture is an even less holistic remake of BM 2015 with a decrease in interesting action and an increase in the agenda.
And yet it is still a good action movie with unique finds. Old Miller showed what else he can do cool even despite the local thin. anti-Soviets.
I wish him to defeat the schizophrenic half and regain a healthy inner warrior of the road to the next one.
Of course, I assumed that it was not worth waiting for a repetition of “The Road of Rage”, because this never happens again, but I was hoping for a more or less sane film. However, old Miller managed to surprise. Everything here is bad, from the script to a fairly average production. The film is frankly drawn out, it is full of unnecessary and drawn-out unnecessary scenes, and for such final heart-to-heart conversations (about the final catharsis here, the hike has not been heard at all), you should immediately drive rags from the profession - so much it was wretchedly done, written and played.
Pompous stances, idiotic and stupid dialogues, action without a light - the feeling that it was not Miller who shot, but a beginner who very carefully and diligently cosplayed "Fury Road". Everything around is glossy and slick - the contrast, of course, with Max is striking. For comparison, even in front of the credits, a couple of scenes were put from Fury Road. But honestly, here, they say, look at what has come to – was and is.
In terms of action, it's all sad - one scene with a gas tanker for 2.5 hours, and then the usual small skirmishes of the middle hand - are you guys serious? Yes, and it is removed, in general, normal, but fresh and without a light and certainly not suitable for sweeps not only the previous chapter, but also the second part with Gibson. Where's the rage? Where's the drive? Where's fire and passion? Yes, they tried, in some places, to take the abomination and naturalism - and what does it do? It would be better to throw unnecessary nonsense out of the film for 40 minutes and add an action - for such a story about revenge it would be quite enough and voluminous with proper skill, the good of examples of a lot.
There are individual fragments, individual shots are beautiful, individual scenes - but there is no film. Well, the backs were sometimes upset, it can be seen that they were partially filmed in the studio and could not properly close everything with post-processing. Actors in images - Hemsworth is amusingly stupid, Ani is not much and the charisma of the image of Theron is far from her.
In general, in comparison, even "Stuntmen" and the last Richie are cooler made, for the gift that the films are passable. This is the disappointment of the year for me. How could you fall so low? The failure at the box office is well deserved. I barely checked.
Instead of this frank banalism - short flashbacks in the course of the narrative - enough not to chew the obvious development of the plot "from the basics". Instead, add time for a much-negligible element of the film - namely:
There's a shortage of PERSONES.
So in the film nine years ago, in addition to the main characters - Max and Furiosa, a number of bright secondary characters were presented, each of whom contributed to the suspense of the plot. This film focused only on Furios - all the other Persians are marked only by broad strokes.
Anya Taylor-Joy and Alila Brown brilliantly sparkle eyes from under different masks / dirt, and the first is also charismatic, shot from different positions.
A wonderful post-apocalypse action movie, with a predictable general development of the plot, although along the way and amused with its various decorations, where it is necessary to include, of course, tricks, and impossible to lengthy preface. As a separate thing, it is beautiful to see (who will endure the first hour). As a continuation of the road of rage - clearly much weaker.
Next time I will watch very soon - if only immediately after the first film, fast forward an hour.

I must say that I am a fan of Fury Road. There was everything in this film - good actors, good production, good sound and sound, good picture, normal script. It is worth noting that in Fury Road, the use of animation was at an acceptable level and was an addition to the picture, not its main one. Oh, yes, the most important thing is the movie Rock. The soundtrack was an integral part of the image.
Now let's move on to Furios.
In terms of the picture, I would say we've got a certain recession. Animation is now not only in the backgrounds, but directly in the main scenes. Animated technique, animated people, entire frame chains in which everything is drawn or drawn 95%. A lot was filmed against the background of the green screen. Because of this, the reality of what is happening is lost and you cease to believe (in The Road of Rage you believe because there is mainly a real production there). The mode of viewing some fantasy-fiction animation that ignores the physical laws of our world. The quality of the animation is good, but not excellent, you can immediately see what is real and what is not. Separately, I will note an almost constant reproduction rate, outside the dialogues, about 1.5 times the normal one. In "The Road of Rage" it was the same, but noticeably less and it was not in the eyes.
In terms of sound, sound editing and sound engineering. I didn't really understand what had happened, but why did they decide to get rid of the very thing that had been done enchantingly in Fury Road? Now chases in the bulk occur under a fairly smooth track with rare accents. And in this regard, a very big disappointment. The movie stopped "Rocking." There's not the drive that "Fury Road" was like. In general, the sound quality is on the level and in the theme, but, as mentioned above, there are certain questions to sound engineering and sound editing.
As for the actors and the script. Overall, I didn’t expect much from the script. There was one requirement not to portray stupid nonsense at all. They didn't, but they didn't. Everyone played well. The only thing is yes, it is worth noting that Furiosa in the role of Charlize Theron was more feminine and somehow you believe her more. Furiosa as Anna Taylor Joy is an uncompromising cold kid, seemingly no longer capable of any feelings and emotions.
In general, to whom came the "Road of fury" will go and "Furios", but ... It doesn't.
2015 was a different reality, and I got high at a Fury Road session at my local little movie theater. And so on June 21, 2024, in another world, I went to the Furios without much expectation, because I did not believe that it would be possible to beat Brothers In Arms, which forced me to squeeze into a chair and nod to beat. And it is simply impossible to find a more charismatic man than Hardy, this squint drove not only women mad at the time. Over these nine years, a lot has changed, I now have a limit of 2-3 blockbusters per year, but in the morning of the same day I watched Taxi Driver, fell into a slight depression and after a couple of hours still decided to cheer up on a session of a drive film.
I wasn't as upset with a check instead of a ticket at the checkout as I was waiting for a real drive to wake up. Before the appearance of the big-eyed warrior, the story of a little girl and her mother is presented to the audience, the latter is trying to save the girl, but these endless circles through hell do not bring good, although at some point she probably believed that she could do everything perfectly. There are no surprises in the foreplay, everything is schematic, there is an idiot and his gang of idiots who still dare to blackmail harsh uncles.
To break these idiots could still in negotiations, the bluff of this clown had to understand even the blonde military commander, but he was vitally necessary to introduce into the game a girl, with the appearance of which the film finally goes on another road, no longer fury, but also quite curious. Schematically playing another story of revenge, George Miller did the impossible: showed on the screen Anya Taylor-Joy, the image of which does not repel: she is silent, she values friendship and, most importantly, regrets ugly dwarfs, and in the wasteland does not lose humanity much.
Like all modern blockbusters, I’ve never watched Furiosa again, and it’s the same with Furiosa: I watched it and I forgot it on the third day. That's amazing, only a fresco with beautiful women is very stuck in memory, here, as they say, Anya, I'm sorry.
The universe of Mad Max patiently waited for its continuation, well, or at least a prequel, and ultimately after 9 years, endless post-production and sweet promises, we got a generally good action movie with an average plot and not catchy characters. Why is that? . . .
Mad Max: Fury Road in 2015 literally blew up theaters. The atmosphere of sand and flame, gasoline and a deadly chase was conveyed perfectly to explosive and now well-recognized music with murderous chords. Each character, the main or secondary, had its own story, its own character, which the actors managed to convey and never made the viewer doubt motivation and actions. A perfect symphony of visual and action.
However, this ultimately played a cruel joke with George Miller, the director of The Furios. The road of rage raised a very high bar for the picky viewer, who is no longer enough spectacular chase, filmed on the green screen. You need a catchy plot, emotions, a powerful antagonist and a penetrating atmosphere of the wasteland, but they seem to be absent in the film. Immortal Joe, briefly appearing on screen, kind of lethargic, there is no cruel frightening dictator in him, as well as his entire retinue, brooding noses. The focus was clearly shifted to another villain, Dementus, but Chris Hamsworth, although he approached the role with a light, still turned out to be a villain of a very medium hand. Not hooked and Furios in the performance of Ani-Taylor Joy: too graceful and fragile for such a rough, “consciously cruel” character and in general for the world of Mad Max, in which survival literally tearing throats. The personal drama of the heroine was supposed to be the driving force of the plot, but the vendetta was somewhat unconvincing, as was the flimsy love line of the characters Taylor-Joy and Tom Burke.
In general, it would be possible to rate Furios higher, but as often happens, the next film, whether it is a sequel or a prequel, is difficult to match the level of performance of the source. And yet, I hope that the creators of Mad Max will try their luck again and return to the viewer with a fresh story, twists and interesting characters.

Actually, the whole point of the review is in the table of contents. When I left the theater, I was in a puppy’s delight, although the film is a little short of BM: Fury Road. But I was ready to forgive everything: a slightly drawn-out plot, the illogicality of some storylines, chromakei instead of a natural desert ... In general, everything, because in the tape there were heroes who are somehow dear to me: Furios herself, Immortal Joe, half-life fighters and cars that made "wurrr". But something prevented me from giving myself unconditional joy, and only an hour later I realized that.
I was hoping to see a conflict between two powerful personalities: Furiosa and Immortal Joe. I wanted to understand what had happened between them in the past, since Furios decided on such a desperate act in the "Road of Fury": she took him away from the "mares" and, as a result, caused him considerable physical suffering. I expected betrayal from the dictator, humiliation, violence, at least something that would justify the desire for separatism on the part of his warrior. What did I see? Nothing. This story arc went unanswered at all. Even more, I sincerely wondered after watching the Chronicles, why, as a result, Furios even got involved in this story with his wives (in fact, in someone else’s showdown) and what so annoyed her the whole Citadel. Let’s omit Furiosa’s desire to return to the Green Lands: it could have been done by just dropping off in the middle of the night on a bike (you just had to prepare), rather than putting on a show for the whole “Rage Road”. But without that, there would be no movie. So after watching the new Furiosa, I feel only regret. Regret that the writers did so unfairly to the antagonist in the next film (yes, he is not sugar, but the times were still the same) and that Furios was simply turned into a femme with always teary eyes and motivation "because so."
Why did I learn more about Furios from Fury Road than from her solo film?
The continuation of the Mad Max franchise was expected by many fans of the series. The creator of the universe, George Miller, had to meet the bar set by the previous part. A solid budget, Hollywood stars in the cast and great ambition are all inherent in this film, but did it really turn out what moviegoers around the world expected?
I would like to start with the positive aspects of the film. Firstly, the creators managed to transfer the convincing artistic content of the film to the screen, the world of Wasteland turned out to be really impressive. The authors were able not to lose the post-apocalyptic atmosphere created in the previous film of the series, and harmoniously add several new locations. Secondly, of the acting roles, Dementus performed by Chris Hemsworth was most noted. The actor at one time established himself as an actor of one role, but in this case a charismatic and original hero came out, who was able to outshine all the other characters of the film.
Now to those shortcomings that, in my opinion, greatly influenced the development of the conflict of the main character and the consistency in the narrative in the course of events. The first thing that caught the eye the most was the strangeness that happened with Furiosa’s hairstyle. The first transformation looks quite logical, but further jumps in the image look strange. Shaving once is an important accent and the next step in the development of the hero, but if it is done twice, the sign of this event fades. It is also worth mentioning the selection of the actress for the role of Furiosa. It is expected that the only embodiment of her image on the screen performed by Charlize Theron became a kind of benchmark, which was deposited in the minds of many viewers. But the choice of the actress was a little surprised, as Anya Taylor-Joy has completely different facial features and a rather specific appearance. But she cannot be blamed for this, this is of course a big failure in the work of the team for the selection of actors and the director himself.
The final battle, to which we were so pathetically led by a voiceover monologue about the inevitability of wars, flew in 30 seconds in a short flashback. And the story arc with the heroine’s lover occupied most of the plot, but this did not affect the development of the character at all, since from the very beginning of the film it pursued completely different goals.
About the plot holes can continue for a long time, but in addition to them there are several other shortcomings that are acutely striking. A huge amount of graphics, ranging from the reflection in the gas tank, which did not match the surroundings, and ending with CG dogs. From the montage, the constant attacks of the camera on the heroes were striking, which in some moments were repeated one after another from scene to scene.
It is also worth adding a fan service. Towards the end of the film, it became obvious that George Miller was trying to play on the feelings of the fans of the previous installment, as quite a lot of details appear from there. Characters from Fury Road played almost no role in the plot, and Max Rokatanski’s cameo looks absurdly stupid, since it absolutely contradicts what is happening in the previous part.
As a result, we have high expectations, inflated by the impression of the previous part and a bitter sediment after leaving the hall. Could the creators of the picture really make an interesting story about Furios, which will show her as a strong-willed person who has passed the hardest life path? We’ll probably never know, and hopefully the upcoming Max series will do a good job of making mistakes.

“Hope is a mistake. What's lost can't be collected. You'll just go crazy. - Max Rokatanski.
