Nancy Allen was born in New York City on June 24, 1950. She was the youngest in the family of Lieutenant Yonkers Police, where she actually spent her childhood. 1962 marked the debut of Nancy in the movie. She was 12 at the time. She appeared as Melissa Dilon in the movie Money in My Pocket. By the age of 15, she was filming in a variety of television commercials, as well as working as a model. In 1973, she took part in the filming of The Last Dress, and then moved to Los Angeles, as she wanted to get more serious roles. So, in 1976, Allen starred in a film based on the book by Stephen King.

In 1979, she married director Brian De Palm, and a year later starred in his film “Dressed to Kill”. This picture brought her two nominations at the same time - Golden Globe and Golden Raspberry. The most famous actress received thanks to the role in the film
"Robot cop" . The first and third films of this trilogy brought Nancy a nomination for Saturn, as well as the film The Philadelphia Experiment, released in 1984. After this successful work, she takes part in the filming of the films “Quality Time” and “Beyond Suspicion”.
Nancy Allen had three marriages: to Brian De Palma, comedy actor Craig Shoemaker and Randy Bailey, who works as a construction contractor. The actress is an active participant in the fight against breast cancer, and also participates in the work of the WeSpark Cancer Support Center, founded by Wendy Joe Sperber.
