Roseanne (Rosie) O'Donnell was born on March 21, 1962 in Commack, Long Island, New York, USA. She attended Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and Boston University. O’Donnell began her career as a comedian in nightclubs, in 1984 she first appeared on television, then starred in the TV series Gimme a Break, led and produced several television talk shows.
