Composer Vladimir Yakovlevich Shainsky was born on December 12, 1925 in Kiev. Since 1936, he studied in the violin class at the ten-year music school at the Kiev Conservatory, but the war prevented his studies. In 1962, Shainsky entered the Composer Faculty of the Baku Conservatory, where he studied in the class of Kara Karaev.
