Lana Parrilla is an American actress. She was born on July 15, 1977 in Brooklyn, New York, where she spent her childhood. Her father is the daughter of American baseball player Sam Parria. It has Puerto Rican roots.
In early childhood, the girl decided that she would become an actress and after graduation moved to Los Angeles and began to study acting. Soon the girl noticed Lana began to perform in productions of local theaters.
On the big screens, the young actress made her debut in 1999 in the television series “Growing Up”, where she played a waitress in several episodes, and the next year the girl received the role of Angie Ordoñez in the popular television series “Spin City”, where she played along with such actors as Connie Britton, Michael J. Fox, Barry Bostwick, Carla Gugino and Richard Kind. This role brought the actress the first popularity.
In 2002, Parrilla landed major roles in the NBC drama series Boomtown. The series fell to the taste of the audience, but, despite this, was closed after the second season. At that time, the young actress took part in such series as “Military Legal Service”, “New York Police”, “Shield” and “The Client is Always Dead”.
In 2005, Lana starred in the fourth season of the popular television series 24, where she played the role of Sarah Gavin, and a year later appeared in several episodes of the television series Lost.
In 2008, the talented actress received the lead role in the film “Depersonalized”, which told about a girl whose identity was stolen, and in 2010 she took part in the medical television series “Miami Hospital”.
One of Lana’s most prominent roles is the role of Regina Mills in the popular ABC television series.
