What's the movie about?
The Bride (Uma Thurman) is brutally dealt with by her accomplices-killers right on the wedding day. After 4 years, she comes out of a coma and compiles a “death list” for revenge: at number five in it there is a certain “Bill”, but first you need to go through the numbers from the first to the fourth.
Why watch?
The film starts in Tarantinovsky enchantingly with the mahacha of two girls in the middle of the living room in a suburban house. With wily visual humor (watch out for the school bus) and sharp outbursts of violence, this is a very confident bid for an imperishable classic. Then more. There will be a scene of the origin of one of the characters, fully drawn in the anime, a trip to the swordsman, served with subtitles, and a flashback of the Bride's awakening in the style of black comedy. And the final chapter, the legendary battle with “Crazy 88”, forcing viewers to dodge bloody geysers. The problem is that this is only the first part of the story. QT halfed the story of revenge Bride and the second part, unfortunately, was boring and pretentious, and even works poorly in contrast to the first – the sequel will not be large-scale epic battles, and the place of games with a visual style will take endless and meaningless chatter.
And yet, in the first volume, there is much to admire, not least the Bride herself performed by Uma Thurman, as durable as the plate in the head of her heroine, as well as a lush soundtrack that blurs the boundaries between East and West. To me, more rigid structuring and editing would make the two parts of Kill Bill one masterpiece epic, and so, we have what we have – a cool action movie with such shocking action scenes that John Wu would “pants up” with envy, but with an open end, so if you want to know the end of the story, you have to endure two hours of empty chatter.
You know, I've been revisiting the Kill Bill dilogy more than once. After watching it for the first time, I was surprised by the style of the film. The first film is imbued with the spirit of old Japanese cinema: fountains of blood, sword fights, etc. It’s just a great decision – it creates one of the most important advantages of the film.
Next, I will mention the characters and the actors. Uma Thurman is more suitable than ever for the role of the Bride, she played just fine and creative. It can be noted that many other characters praise the beauty of the Bride, Tarantino conveyed through them what Thurman considers his muse.
Every character in the gang. Bill has his own charm and uniqueness, everyone has a well-written history and their thoughts.
Someone became the head of a criminal gang, someone left it all, but the past always responds.
Next, I will note the production and choreography. She's on top, you can't argue. All fights look as beautiful and attractive as possible, there is no dispute.
Separately, the soundtrack is one of the main advantages of the film. When you type “Kill Bill” into YouTube, one of the first things you’ll see is music from the movie, not just scenes from it. It is collected from the soundtracks of other old classic films.
What can I say? Definitely watching, this film will pleasantly surprise you, will be one of your favorites, from Tarantino for sure.

Bill, Swords and Women: Tarantino's Bloody Symphony
'Kill Bill' is like sweet revenge served on a golden tray, except instead of chocolate candy, we have swords, blood and explosions. This Tarantino film is like a vivid picture, painted with blood and revenge, but with shades of honor and justice.
The film has a magnificent style and a unique atmosphere, which under the influence of Tarantino turns into a kind of cinematic symphony, where every frame, every sound and every character plays its note in this melody of revenge.
But let's talk about the plot. What could be easier than a story about revenge? However, Tarantino has managed to turn this simple concept into a complex, multi-layered narrative where each character and each scene has its own meaning. At the same time, some moments seemed too overloaded. As if Tarantino decided to pack everything he likes in the film: kung fu, samurai swords, anime, westerns.
Now let's move on to acting. I can only take off my hat in front of Uma Thurman. Her heroine is a real woman-warrior, able to overcome all difficulties on the way to her goal. At the same time, she remains a person full of emotions and feelings.
So to sum it up, Kill Bill is definitely a movie worth watching. It is a bright, energetic and explosive picture that can make you worry, laugh and wonder. But be prepared that sometimes you may feel all those swords, explosions and blood begin to overwhelm you, as if Tarantino got too carried away throwing all his favorite things into one movie. This can create a feeling of cinematic overeating, which, in my opinion, slightly worsens the overall impression.
To conclude, Kill Bill is definitely a unique experience. It's not just a movie, it's a bloody symphony written by one of the most talented directors of our time. It may not be perfect, but its style, its vibe and its characters make it one of those movies you’ll probably want to watch over and over again.

A film that strikes with its incredible unmotivated cruelty. A wretched bloody mess with a pathetic attempt to convey something from the mentality of the Eastern warriors, only this attempt is veiled from the very beginning, when the Japanese master portrayed scum, and then this effect only increases. I am aware that there are many perverted aesthetes who enjoy the content and meaning, and I would ask their opinion if the film were any adequate. But there is a big difference between simple cruelty and sophisticated sadism. This film is soaked through them, and the consciousness of a normal person just gives up before all this.
I think the Kill Bill franchise is Tarantino’s coolest work, because it’s full of brilliant directing, scripting and cinematic moves. There are millions of questions to the film and they give you millions of answers. The film tells us a story about a woman whose name is stuck and the background is vague. But the viewer knows for sure that she is taking revenge on everyone who put her in a coma and ruined her wedding. More than anything, she wants revenge on Bill. For a long time I did not understand and still do not understand why the name of the main character is squeaked. Most likely, this is due to the fact that the viewer must think of her as a kind of superhero-avenger, whose history is covered in darkness. I think so because the movie is clearly inspired by comics. Yeah, well, Tarantino was conceived of as a movie comic. From this, there are a number of shots that you want to directly sketch and make a graphic novel out of all this. The movie is still very stylish. The yellow costume of the main character and the fight in a Japanese restaurant, in my opinion, is the coolest action scene in the history of world cinema. A huge thank you to Tarantino for such cool and realistic fights, just grab the soul. I also like the fact that the film is very good at merging Western and Eastern culture, literally bringing them together. Regarding the acting of Uma Thurman, I will say only one thing - it is incomparable. This is clearly her best role. In short, I highly recommend watching!
Kill Bill is a 2003 film by Quentin Tarantino. It tells the story of a former hitman Black Mamba, in the head of which during the wedding with another man was shot by a man named Bill, but she survived and began to take revenge on him and his accomplices.
What do people like about this movie? Personally, I have nothing but a gorgeous visual range and an interesting idea. Quentin Tarantino, who is a sadist, godlessly dragged the film with his extremely unnecessary and bloody scenes, so it was not interesting to watch. This film could even have earned an MPAA age rating of 'NC-17', which is primarily associated with pornography, had the director not made one fight scene in black and white. In principle, acting work is tolerant, and directing, it seems, is completely absent.
It's very interesting why almost no one criticizes this film because there's no morality and there's too much violence. Okay. Then why do so many people resent how immoral (there is a lot of meaning here) and violent (by the way, there is almost no blood here, and rape is almost not shown) Stanley Kubrick’s 1971 Clockwork Orange? It is very foolish and unreasonable to think so.
I am very annoyed that the meaning, as in other creations of the kind of “genius” of Quentin Tarantino, is completely absent here.
I do not recommend watching anyone, it is better to watch a good and instructive film “Oldboy” of 2003 by Park Chan-uk. Here the emphasis is not on violence, but on the semantic load of the film.

Pistol in a box of porridge, director ' Shmarovozka', yellow suit in a black stripe... A brilliant entertaining film in which Quentin Tarantino addresses the theme of revenge, in parallel savoring the aesthetics of films of the 60s - 70s. Quentin is grandiose and pragmatic, he easily plays with the most improbable ideas, he lures his clients into a tent and shows a show for which they were hardly ready.
'Kill Bill', argue, if I'm wrong - that film ( and I view the two parts as a single whole), which made it clear how the director works. 'Reservoir Dogs' and 'Pulpulpular Fiction' also stunning in terms of approach, but their charm is more likely to be appreciated by those who can not live straight. 'Kill Bill' not only doubles Tarantino's chips, but also makes his techniques available to the average viewer. Black-and-white style, slow-mo, sharp camera hit, soundtrack. In particular, 'The Lonely Shepherd' Georghe Zamfir and ' Bang Bang' Nancy Sinatra is now associated with this film.
More than 15 years have passed, and I find myself thinking that if the film dilogy had been shot today, or if another director had done it, it would have been lost in the atmosphere due to some plot details. Images 'bad guys' would elevate to absolute, the theme of strong women is now actively exploited by Netflix and his like, while placing too much emphasis on Buck, Matsumoto, 'picaper' Gogo. Would it be as cool? I doubt it.
The main engine of the plot is revenge. Motivations do not have psychological depth, they are only knots in the plot. Characters are walking characteristics. In the first film, we don’t see Bill’s face, we hear his voice, but we already understand that he is a man who has a high authority among the whole gang of scoundrels. We don’t hear the name of the Bride (Uma Thurman), which makes the character a ghost in a sense. A ghost of the past who catches up with his enemies for trying to kill the heroine. They take her unborn daughter, Bill shoots her in the head, and after four years of coma, she wakes up. The most dangerous person is the one who has nothing to lose.
'Kill Bill' - this is the film where you discuss not acting skills Uma Thurman, Lucy Liu and Vivica A. Fox, and their tricks. Strength, grace, the ability to look serious when what is happening on the screen is clearly not tuned to this tone. Film about martial arts can be not only about men, waving hands and feet. The scene of the battle of the Bride with the clan '88 rabid' filmed with taste, and let some ' rabid' behave like scripted ' Attack one', it looks beautiful. Well, the fountains of blood that beat out of a person - where else? And that's all Tarantino - you don't take him seriously, but you're fascinated by him.
TO BE CONTINUED. . .
Quentin Tarantino is a famous director and actor. His dilogy 'Kill Bill' vividly shows including his directorial style. Cruelty.
In the hitman Beatrix Kiddo she also ' Black Mamba (Uma Thurman) shoots the head of their criminal gang Bill (David Carredin). It was shot in the head. Beatrix had very little chance of surviving. Before that, representatives of this clan inflicted humiliation on her in the chapel ' 2 pine trees'. This is Verenita Green, Ellie Driver, Sophie, and O-Ren-Ishii. After some time Black Mamba miraculously ' resurrected ' decides to take revenge. After all, she believes that her child, who was carrying under her heart at the time, was also killed. Bill's baby.
Black Mamba decides on revenge, following the principle: 'an eye for an eye'.
Her task, her mission: to find everyone who humiliated her, perhaps to kill them. Find Bill as your most important task and kill him.
At the beginning, she comes to Verenita and begins a fight with her not for life, but for death. In the period between fights, where all the furniture flies, comes the little daughter Verenita - a girl, a child. Black Mamba realizes that if she wins the fight, this girl will be left without her mother. And yet ...
But on the way to the main goal - Bill in this film in front of Beatrix appears the figure of O-Ren Ishia (Lucy Liu), who became the head of the group.
When Beatrix comes to the blue leaf house in Japan to get to O-Ren-Ishia, she will have to fight with an army of defenders of her mistress. This is an unequal duel, in which the viewer can see all the willpower, courage, fearlessness, fighting skills of the Black Mamba, who challenged the clan.
Uma Thurman in the role of the Black Mamba conveyed brightly and perfectly all the above qualities of her as a professional.
Lucy Liu in the image of O-Ren-Ishia conveyed the charm of a woman of oriental beauty. She is a true leader guarded by dedicated bodyguards.
These two figures are the most important in the film. They are two strong personalities who can meet in the final fight.
Quentin Tarantino created a script that attracts millions around the world. The advantages of the film: the brightness of colors, skillfully staged battle scenes.
But we must also talk about the moral side of the matter. Beatrix is the unfortunate victim. All viewers sympathize with her. She chooses the path of revenge. Is this the right way? A lot of people have to die on the way to its goal. How many people does Beatrix kill in the movie? How many children did she leave behind in the film for her revenge? They were to blame for her? So why should their children be left without their parents? The purpose of a woman is to be a mother, to raise her children. Will Gogo, Verenita, O-Ren-Ishia have this opportunity after the finale of this film? Or are they deprived of it? The purpose of a person is to take place in a profession, benefiting the world. How many people in their prime died in battle during this film?
Is that the price of revenge? No!
Since this film is associated with Eastern culture, we will discover the precepts of Buddhism.
1. No killing. How many people violate this commandment! How many people are willing to do that!
Do not hold evil and do not incite evil. Beginning with the main character there is a violation of the commandment.
We were shown the high professionalism of these men and women. They are dexterous, beautiful during fights. But why all this, all these talents and abilities go to destruction and not to creation? After all, they could become policemen on guard of the law, justice would show their fighting skills.
Destruction, murder, and bloodshed are shown to the viewer as ‘The Road of Honor and Justice’ 39. But innocent people suffer! Besides revenge, there is forgiveness. And a forgiving person who refuses to return to the path of evil may seem much higher and purer spiritually. In Eastern culture, Buddhism is a strong belief in Providence, in the law of karma. If all these bandits have succeeded in circumventing earthly justice, in the person of the Law, which was to punish them for their crime by law, they will be punished by the law of Providence, the law of karma.
Above may be the one who refused revenge, the one who was able to forgive, saving human lives - the most important value.
And with all due respect to all the creators of this film, fans of this film, it is difficult to put the highest score.

Perhaps one of the most beloved films of all that can be.
Style, nonlinear narrative and detail. It's fine. Tarantino is a wizard.
The film is beautiful in everything. From music to frame building. Favorite reception of Tarantino & #39; shooting from the trunk & #39; as it is impossible to fit into the fabric of the picture. Great women's feet, too.
The way the characters are written is a fairy tale. Beatrix is an icon. The best assassin, iron will, and an insanely vulnerable soul. Quentin is able to combine the incompatible.
Bill is the embodiment of confidence and strength.
It's amazing what dignity those who follow the Black Mamba accept death with. And yet revenge and jealousy are two sisters, each is terrible in its own way and each cripples souls.
For me, this story is always about love. A dangerous, but beautiful love.
Quentin Tarantino literally fell in love with the charisma and talent of Uma Thurman when he worked with her on his magnificent Pulp Fiction & #39. The director and his actress easily found a common language, spent a lot of time together and discussed a possible future project. There was no formal affair between them, and that’s for the best, because nothing could distract them from the creative process. And so in 2003, Tarantino and the tourman gave us the first chapter of "Kill Bill" & #39;
The main character of the film is a former hired killer, which is called 'The Bride'. She used to serve in the hit squad of a dangerous man named Bill. They had a very good relationship, but one day the girl said that she wanted to tie up and settle in the suburbs with her future family. Preparing to go under the crown, 'The bride' did not even imagine that Bill would undertake how treacherous he would be.
Former employer ' Brides' showed up directly to the wedding with his henchmen and staged a real massacre. By a happy coincidence, only the main character survived. After falling into a coma, she was unconscious for a long time, she was forgotten. But when the bride came to her senses and remembered what had happened to her, she took up her weapon and went to take revenge on everyone who betrayed her and tried to kill her.
Every Quentin Tarantino film is inspired by something special.'Kill Bill' no exception. The director once saw the action films in the style of kung fu, where Bruce Lee soloed, and decided that his characters would adhere to the morality and philosophy of those films. Uma Thurman herself in some scenes wore a yellow jumpsuit in the style of Bruce Lee, and it was spectacular, I liked it.
In his corporate style, Tarantino does not spare blood, she directly beats from the torn limbs with a fountain. There is no realism here, the main character kills crowds of enemies and almost no scratch on her. But it all looks beautiful. Real visual art. Only Tarantino can show death so beautifully.
The first chapter ' Kill Bill' does not end the story of the confrontation 'The Bride' and his former boss. It is the beginning of a dramatic storm that will follow in the second film. But the aperitif turned out great anyway.
I reached out to see Kill Bill, and I’m glad it happened right now, because who knows how I would have felt about the film at a younger age. I would probably just have fun with the scenes of mass murder and nothing more.
But this film is valuable not because of the murders themselves, but because of how they were done. I was struck by Tarantino’s courage because I had never seen such radical ideas in cinema. He plays well with the form and every time he does well. Ten-minute anime insert, black white and color image, camera hits, angles, music and sounds, dialogue, fights - all this is so fresh, even after 15 years.
The banal concept – the story of revenge turns into an interesting innovative adventure, from which you do not want to break away, and all the time you wait for what will be interesting and new in the next scene. It will be interesting and new.
I love this movie, especially the first one. In the review, I will tell you about both films at once, since in fact it is a whole five-hour story divided in half for the purpose of correct perception and even the director himself counts these films for one work. Probably all Tarantino fans are divided into two camps: those who love Pulp Fiction and those who love Kill Bill. As you can see, I am in the second row, because in my opinion Kill Bill reveals the best features of Tarantinism. I'll explain.
I finally heard Quentin the melomaniac, because literally every scene has its own musical theme like an aria in an opera. After listening to any of the soundtracks reproduced in the film, you subconsciously associate it with a bright moment from the film, so strong was the effect of melodies skillfully selected by the director. When you see some pictures, you can literally hear them. Remember what energy gave the melody “Lone Shepherd” at the time of the presentation of the main character of the samurai sword. It's worth a lot.
No matter how much I talk about Tarantino’s bloodlust, but it is in this dilogy that we can observe it to the highest degree: the heroes have at their disposal a variety of murder weapons ranging from the iconic samurai sword to an unexpected mace. How much artificial blood there is! This is a huge part of the budget.
One of the best moments in the film I consider the chapter about the killer O-Ren, an anime animation. This is the complete freedom of the camera, in the actions and movements of the characters, their emotions and manifestations.
Do not forget about the amazing Mind Thurman, how good she is in this endless fury. Her character is as mysterious as expected. When watching does not leave the feeling that Tarantino himself is in love with the image he created, so he admires it, savoring every moment of Thurman’s appearance in the frame. Fun fact: that recognizable yellow tracksuit is a homage to Bruce Lee's films. In general, this film can be considered a huge reference to the culture of militants about the oriental arts, because literally every frame, editing, rhythm of the narrative scream about it. Taking from those action movies, westerns, Japanese films 70 the best, Tarantino creates a new, which is guaranteed to please the viewer.
That's why Kill Bill works: it rushes forward nonstop, sparing no one in the way, mesmerizing with its audacity.
“Kill Bill” is a picture standing in the work of Tarantino. This is manifested, first of all, in the almost complete absence of such “abstruse” dialogues characteristic of the director. In this case, the emphasis is more on form than content and because of this film, the director received the reputation of a “bloody” creator and simply a psychopath, obsessed with “dismemberment”.
Regarding the last, bloody scenes, there is indeed plenty. If the previously not alien passion for violence in the canvases of the director was a kind of “prelude”, then immediately it was elevated to the absolute. For the sake of the plot, of course - Quentin just does not happen. Behind the simple idea of revenge and retribution of the beaten to half death Bride lies numerous references and “Easter eggs”. But again, it's all about form and beauty. And if you remember the very beginning, like “Reservoir Dogs” and “Pulp Fiction”, it will not be a secret that the musical taste of the director is excellent. In the audio plan, this work is brought to perfection, which can be said with confidence about the color solutions and camera work of Robert Richardson, who has already had the opportunity to work with Quentin in Natural Born Killers.
A separate mention is the staging of fighting scenes, which were engaged Tetsuro Shimaguchi. A true warrior of the land of the Rising Sun has done a delightful job where every second is the poetry of death. It looked very impressive and quite paid off the little wording of the acting characters.
The full canvas is presented, rather, for fans of the genre. After all, each frame is a tribute to Tarantino’s favorite colleagues and films. And no matter how surprising, trying to pass for a work quite "pop" and secondary, the director puts something completely original. Strange things.
I don’t like a revenge movie unless it’s made by Quentin or Pak Chan Wook. Even though I think Oldboy is the best revenge movie, I often revisit Kill Bill because it’s closer to me, because I have Hotay’s “Battle Without Honor or Humanity” on the playlist, and every audition seems to force me to revisit the movie, just leaves me no choice. This is not easy to deal with.
Attention! Uma Thurman in the costume of Bruce Lee, I repeat - Uma Thurman in the costume of Bruce Lee, as the object of endless associations and immense imagination. In some circles, cinema is recognized as the worst and most uncomplicated in Tarantino’s career. No, it's outrageous. I agree, it is certainly not the best, but to choose the worst, it is necessary to try very hard. Arrange a debate of 37 hours, using yellow notebooks and not the fact that something will be able to come.
The killer and just a warrior Black Mamba, was the victim of an attempt at her own wedding, being pregnant, but because of some internal mistake survived after a shot in the head, calmly lying in a coma for several years, is going to take revenge, and especially brutal and virtuoso methods, not noticing obstacles and grinding on salad unwanted, pursuing only one goal, which appears in the title. Moments, the movie resembles the beating of babies, as if you once again listen to the track "Killshot" from Eminem to Machine Gun Kelly.
First of all, this is a stylish movie that combines motley styles, and secondly, a movie about revenge. With all due respect to Quentin as a screenwriter, but this movie amazes me stylistically, the way Quentin presents, one might say, an ordinary story about revenge. The film is a quest, as in a computer game. Black Mamba is forced to alternately fight with members of the gang Bill to get to him. The director alternates the style of shooting. At some point - Anime, at another - Hentai, in the third - a classic film about oriental martial arts.
Quentin is an artist, I have already said that he always knows what strings to play, he has the hands of a skilled master. The film is full of pop scenes and youthful pathos more than completely, which, incidentally, is an idea, and here, as always, the magic of Tarantino works, whose films, even in this scenario, are perceived differently. He does it beautifully, so that it is difficult to reproach him, does it in his own way, relying on his style and his vision. The fierce battle, soaked in hatred and blood against the clan "88 rabid" - is beautiful, far from reality and forces itself to reconsider. And this scene with a finger moving? Typical Tarantino, not shy to show your fetish.
Both the large and small tibia will be broken, she has a katana to bleed. They should get ready to run with their tin knives, she will open them like a melon, she planned to break the second she gets out of this hole. Tell Bill that she has returned and kills again abundantly, will give Hannibal Lector nectarine, sit him in the vegetable and fruit department, and then give him a lecture. Mamba in fact, cuts them into small pieces - moisturizing cocoa butter is not for her. Why are they trying to fight? Separating, legs, arms, devil, another limb ... a sea of blood is obviously only a matter of time.
The filmology of Quentin is very underestimated, probably due to the fact that, against the background, let us assume, "Pulp Fiction" looks not so intricate, but, it should be said that he approached the creation of "Kill Bill" no less scrupulously. The plot is not linear, and the narrative is divided into chapters, as in the best traditions. The duo Q&U is as beautiful as ever. In addition, if someone dares to offend the Mind, moreover, what is more terrible - to offend her feet - disassembly will begin, which did not dream, to become a blood bath in that very city.
... and subscribe to each word.
Revenge is a dish that is served cheerfully, judging by Tarantino.
Chic action films containing sweeping scenes with martial arts, inspired the young Tarantino in the years of his work in the video distribution. The director himself has repeatedly expressed his respect for them and for Hong Kong master Bruce Lee personally, who, in fact, made kung fu a popular industry. Just for those reasons, Kill Bill is a homage to all of East Asia with its stunning martial arts that eat up a good quarter of screen time in this film. Such a film creates difficulties for a director who previously traded exclusively in crime, be it his own work, be it the scripts sold to Oliver Stone and Tony Scott. “Kill Bill 1” as a whole is not much and differs from “Pulp Fiction” or “Natural Born Killers” in terms of genre, but much deeper seeks to fake its microclimate under Asian culture. Tarantino and his team did a great job. In place of pistols and assault rifles come samurai swords, respectively, shootouts - fights. Significantly transformed installation and operator part, any chamber effects, coupled with computer processing and not count. However, technically good movies are not always good in general, and simple audiences can find direct examples of this in bundles. Sometimes even more than half the story is important. And then Tarantino stumbled...
And in principle, there are no problems in the plot of the film. A certain Bride, whose name is almost not pronounced and carefully hidden with the help of some siren, avenges the massacre at her wedding, arranged by a certain Bill. Why he did that is unclear. Naturally, Bill arranged a massacre with the hands of his bandits from the organization “Lethalous Vipers”, because of which the Bride tries to take revenge from small to great. Yes, the plot does not shine originality, but does not cause upset. Quentin Tarantino almost did not differ before abstruse scenarios from his notebook, but they were always kept afloat by thoughtfulness to the smallest detail and logic. So there's some sort of gluing together of the last two factors. "Kill Bill" is thoughtful nonsense. For the sake of action, the mind suffered. Many screen actions raise questions about the soundness of thought, why it turns out not a venerable action movie, but a simple arcade. It is clear that the creators wanted to make a really skillful action, but why simplify everything? From this adventure of the main character do not seem any thriller, ready to cause whiplashy emotions. The film seems to adapt itself to the Bride and pave the way for her from yellow brick, never disturbing her, repelling difficulties and minor troubles, making her an ordinary woman, let a professional killer - a worthy army of specially trained fighters. In the film, by the way, a similar scene in a Japanese restaurant will be a delightfully absurd sight, and with it many others. The sense of the thriller, as well as common sense, disappears completely from such a plot.
But the early Tarantino could not weakly impress the viewer with small, seemingly moves. Who expected Vince Vega to be killed? How long did the disturbance around Mr. Orange's wounded last? Where are these scenes now? Moreover, the director made a kind of literary leap in relation to his own work, and “Kill Bill” does not look like a completely black comedy. There's drama here, the most natural. And it reveals literally in a few minutes, the revenge of the Bride is not a matter for a hot head. It is noteworthy that in the tape really every hero will be remembered for something, although Buck from the clinic and his “Shmarovozka”, and the collegium of characters are given a significant amount of timekeeping. Their characters and goals are clear, but a spoonful of tar is again in their sick actions on the head, made of dummy motives and megalomania... well, to please the Bride, who on their background generally seems to be perfection itself. Everything good here is clearly out of proportion. Also not impressed by the music, which should catch up with authority to the characters, but in fact only adds glamour.
Although the tribute to the tradition of filming under the cover of black humor Tarantino did not break. And then there is a sense of the correctness of what is happening: all these colorful scenes with severed heads, crowned with bloody “fountains” from the bodies of the dead, severed limbs, downed scalps, heartbreaking screams, door blows certainly hint at the main principle of black comedy – cynicism in relation to death and violence. Yes, Tarantino is a maniac in the director’s chair, capable of critics rated only 18+, and he is loved for that. For the sake of bread and spectacles, his characters suffer unprecedented torments, and in this film he further exaggerated the threshold of human pain - it feels through the screen in a way that has not been felt before. However, in other aspects, the director limped and did not reach the previous level. The dialogues of the heroes lost their historic appeal and delighted occasionally. Some were filled with philosophical pathos, the second were not remembered, the third and completely infuriated: in the conversation of the Bride with Vernita Green so pronounced dull and monotonous naming “Bitch” in every sentence, on behalf of both heroines – unbearable. And with the perverted desire of Quentin to see the female feet of Uma Thurman in all the necessary and unnecessary places to contact already disgusting.
In general, “Kill Bill” is almost unremarkable, ordinary movie. Yeah, it's a great fight, but Bruce Lee was just as good at it. The director's handwriting has not changed: in places more beautiful, in places duller. Revenge and things like that were filmed all over the world by 2003. And really happy, as mentioned above, only the operator and the person at the computer. Robert Richardson is a 1992 Academy Award winner for historical detective John F. Kennedy. Shots in Dallas" - once again proved his qualification, with the help of a fluttering camera managed to shoot a reference picture. And the team responsible for visualization created a memorable style for every taste – from black and white filtering to animated insert. For Quentin Tarantino, this was the debut in the new millennium and the first film in 6 years (after Jackie Brown), and in front of him he shoots a bunch of high-quality films, where the script, although it will give a jerk, but not always. It will also amaze and be remembered forever. Perhaps it is the crazy nature, without a clear logic of the narrative, did not bring the film neither Oscars nor Golden Globes.

Ennio Morricone - God!
Lucy Liu is the villain of the year!
Quentino is very good.
Kill Bill (1 part)
This is another tribute from Quentin. Who, what? Yes, every old man (from the 60s, 70s, 80s) - from TV series to kung fu fighters. Every frame is imbued with love. When a director makes a good movie, that’s good. When a director loves his film, it’s even better. Tarantino is in love and when a man is in love, he is ready to move mountains.
This movie doesn't make sense. Well, what's the point? Good conquers evil, these are seeds. Even the toughest villain can have a conscience (a moment in the hospital with Hannah) or a code of conduct, keep that meaning to yourself. Don't piss off a pregnant woman? Funny, but no. I'm not talking about banal revenge. Revenge is meaningless and merciless, like love.
But there's a uniform. Tarantino overshadows the mind with his dentition form. Destroying the movie and breaking anime (as before hentai did not think), easy. A twenty-minute sword massacre, please. I'm honored to have Vivika Fox and Uma Thurman fight like the LCD and Arnie. And then he just shows (a few minutes!) Thurman's fingers.
Tarantino is not afraid to bend the stick and look like a clown. Overbending is the norm for a master. Paphos is off the charts. Cut off limbs, bloodied eyes and guts for dessert. Quentin isn't afraid he won't be nominated for an Oscar. After all, he confesses his love, which is much cooler than getting a piece of metal. Your recognition will forever remain in the history of cinema.
He's shuffling the timeline, so you know in advance, this hero is gonna die. Tarantino didn't care about spoilers. He is sure that his love will fasten your attention to the final credits. That's how it works. Add some great music and powerful cast.
Tarantino also made a movie for Uma Thurman. The irony is that this is Thurman's latest cool role (he wrote about it more than once). Ahead are "My Best Lover," "My Super Ex" and "Accidental Husband." Sadness. Actress of one director. Although in old age it will show grandchildren – “Kill Bill”, there is something to be proud of.
In the movie "Deadly Permeable", old Tarantino confessed his love for Grindhaus. Kurt Russell, Ferlito's frogs is funny, but the movie about the Bride is more likeable to me. And those who split Kill Bill in two deserve a breeze! Bang-Bang ...
P.S.
Daryl Hannah with an eye patch - unrealistically cool!

The office cleaner came to finish the second half of the movie.
From the first minutes you can see the characteristic features of the painting by Tarantino. The brilliant scene at the beginning of the film, from the coolness of which the jaw will hang, captured for a long time. The next half hour is also great (in a wonderful way) reveal the main character and the basis of the plot.
Towards the middle, the falsity begins to feel. Starting not to the end, or just a crookedly motivated chelik, handing the heroine his blade, ending with the most terrible subsequent actions. I would understand everything if I saw the word “comedy” in the genre of the film, but there is no such thing there in my opinion. The ridiculous massacre in a restaurant resembles the plot of some computer thrash game, in which you go across the corridor, kill a hundred stupid monsters and end up killing a bloodthirsty boss (little girls in skirts). No hint of realism or adequacy made me just sit there, closing my eyes with facepalm.
In the course of the film, there is no idea, but an idea (or morality, so to speak), so that the viewer can only hope that Quentin left the best for last, and the theory from my title is pure truth.

Quentin Tarantino has a lot of fans around the world due to his directing career. But every king of the film industry has flaws that degrade him from his divine status. The epic, which all true cowboys will appreciate, overwhelms Tarantino's films like foam - a glass of beer. A sharp seasoning of cruel sarcasm with an admixture of bloody rivers is something the director can never do without. “Kill Bill” became just such a film, almost one hundred percent satisfying such a concept as entertainment.
Bright colors that make up a unique contrast with black and white scenes, and attract all attention to the screen. The amazing work of the operator delays and allows you to immerse yourself in the demonstrated world. Scenes of hand-to-hand combat are unsurpassed, with the ringing of metal and the brilliance of samurai sword blades and bloody fountains. Unpredictability is the main focus of the film, many times making you shudder. Great, no one will miss watching. But what is the point of entertainment if there is no clear plot? The path of revenge, chosen by the Black Mamba, lies in the center of this iridescent and cruel shell of roar, blood and gloating. Characters manage to reveal themselves with dignity, even if they are given little time, and psychological episodes turned out to be as vivid as possible.
So is this story worthy of the first steps of the vengeance of the surviving bride of the highest praise? Some things Tarantino overdid. Black Mamba’s massive fight with the yakuza gang is impressive, but it takes so long that it gets boring. Perhaps the use of heavier music would increase interest, but the eternal quiet hum in the background does not cope with this task. All the events unfolding in Japan show elements of the culture of this country too superficially and stereotypically: supposedly the only solution to any serious problem in East Asia is brutal murder, and every warrior must squeal and crook during battles. However, the main drawback in Kill Bill is not stereotypical at all, but a desire for the category of thrash, which often leaves an unpleasant residue from watching Tarantino films. Against the background of the general serious tone of the narrative, sharp jokes look like splinters, deliberately picked up and spoiling all impressions. A spit in the face of a policeman and the constant humiliation of those who fell, do not cause laughter.
There are no special complaints about the actors. As I have already noted, all the characters have time to reveal themselves, but, of course, Uma Thurman, the leading actress, tried best of all. Her yellow suit and sword in her hands became as recognizable symbols of the film as the shark's mouth for Jaws.
The grand scale of “Kill Bill” once again glorified the director, but not everyone will agree to give this explosive film the highest rating. Man is not satisfied with bread alone, but you will not be satisfied with sight without bread.
I love Tarantino. I love Tarantino. His films are distinguished by a nonlinear structure of the narrative, quite unlike other creations of directors. There's no painting that doesn't get me hooked on Quentin. And this film diology did not bypass me. I always know that Tarantino is a master of his craft. And at the entrance it turns out masterpiece, always! And period).
Insanely beautifully staged scenes, philosophical dialogue monologues, just listen to some episodes of conversation! The film has its own style, and this is the main thing! Great story seasoned with cool scenes of battle. So everything is combined into a single structure that you are surprised by the story of the very main character.
The Black Mamba (Beatrix Kiddo) is an excellent assassin. He knows his business and always performs all the tasks of the leader. But what if in an instant her life changes and she realizes that there is no place for her in the squad “Deadly Vipers”. Is it easy to escape from a past life? Like this? Of course, it was a real shock for Beatrix to come out of a coma and understand all the things that are happening! Revenge is a dish that is served cold.
Uma Thurman - for the role of a hired killer, suitable. It's kind of clumsy, but it has a twist. Yes, of course, Uma is not beautiful, but she plays great! That's enough for me. It is impossible to break away from her charm throughout the film. There was no limit to the bride's empathy. You analyze every action and you think, this is it. Whether revenge has seized her, or she takes revenge knowingly, because there are reasons for this. I still have 2 options.
It was interesting to see Bill and Beatrix. Jealousy is a terrible thing.
I don’t want to forget about the other characters. It turned out on top, although frankly there is a pattern. For example, the magnificent swordsman Hattori Hanzo or the teacher Pei Mei. But everything is well thought out, I can’t complain.
In my opinion, the concept of the film is built on revenge, so should justice prevail? (This is a rhetorical question =)
On music: here is how Tarantino can insert where you need good soundtracks, memorable and easy. And it seems as if some sound was written specifically for this tape, because you can not throw them out, well, no way! (so it is)
Visually, you can see the hand of the master, truly brilliant director Quentin Tarantino, characteristically different in his style. I think you get the bloody fountains and severed limbs and all that. I don’t think it makes sense to look at the 2 parts separately. High-quality directing only pleases the viewer, because it is for us, for the audience, all the work is done.
If for some reason you haven’t seen these 2 cool movies yet, I can only spread my hands, you just have to watch! Take a look at each dialogue and scene, because every episode makes sense. Just think about it!
I watched this picture a long time ago, in due time, and still if it is shown on the channels, it causes interest to enjoy watching again. Perhaps it was from this picture that I met Tarantino. Since "Pulp Fiction", at first was not viewed with all episodes.
What I love about Quentin Tarantino's films is that they're very character-driven, there's a lot of witty dialogue, and of course there's a lot of black humor and bloody murder that comes out of a cornucopia. Music fits seamlessly into what is happening.
The best in the film is an anime-style graphic comic book detailing the line of the main characters. The fight with the “88 rabid”, where severed limbs and a sea of blood, make a special impression. A crazy fight with a sadistic schoolgirl "Gogo" who has a powerful mace. Epic sword battle with Group 88 boss in winter garden
Acting. The female characters came out beautifully. Uma Thurman - "Black Mamba", taking revenge consciously, because there are reasons for this. Daryl Hannah is the killer of Ellie Driver, who kills for her pleasure, and by any means at her disposal. Lucy Liu - "O-Ren Ishii", able to cut off the head of the offender for the slightest insult.
"Kill Bill" is a colorful, bloody action movie, which perfectly demonstrates the bright thirst for revenge. One of Quentin Tarantino’s finest works, perhaps even the best, is that the story is divided into two interrelated parts that you always want to watch with great interest.
Does it make sense to write a review of a 13-year-old movie? It has already become a classic of its kind.
Cruelty, injustice, despair, willpower and dozens of other words that will describe it. Killing Bill is nothing like the horror you’ll see, especially if it came on time and you were a kid. Now, of course, put the limits of 18+, but a decade ago it seemed an unconscious film. Wait a minute. This was the first film to have an "R" limitation.
Is it possible to combine murder/murderers and simple human life in a beautiful house behind a white fence? Family, children and wedding... The Bloody Bride, or Black Mamba, will be completely relegated to consciousness as the image of the most brutal avenger in film history. It is said that when Uma Thurman’s mother saw her child, she cried. She seemed so ugly to her. But, blonde model appearance still became a star and muse Quentin Tarantino. The director, who distinguished himself in the genre of a criminal thriller, competently approached the shooting and took a win-win scenario.
Bloody rivers and profanity are covered with Eastern martial arts philosophy. Did you think Hathori Hanzo's sword was just that? But behind all these scenes of violence, of which there are at least a dozen, and even under extremely memorable soundtracks. However, they are trying to show us something that defies logic. The disgust that human nature causes is sometimes brought to a climax here. Can a person survive after being shot in the head? Do we have a reason to love/impose the victim who is himself the most dangerous killer?
“You have to be the last fuck to put a bullet in that face.”
Then, as notes, you forget why you hate her so much. Why did they try to remove her? It seems that assassins know no mercy. So, not quite understanding the causes and motives, we can only watch the massacre of Bill’s gang (David Carredin) with the Black Mamba. Ambiguous feelings cause everything that happens. And the main villain remains behind the scenes. "At this moment I commit my most masochistic act."
For example, El Driver (Daryl Hanna) or O'Ren Ishie (Lucy Liu) more reveal the true face of ruthlessness. In some ways, we were shown a very feminist movie, where the main villains were “Deadly Vipers”. And this is far from our world, where people would rather forgive and let go than take revenge so coldly. Moralists are sure to nobility blow to dust "Kill Bill". But Uma Thurman received many nominations for Best Actress. This world requires heroines. Not just warriors of men, but strong women who can stand up for themselves. From this point of view, her actions can also be justified by the past. But, alas, there are no happy “ends”, compassion and thoughts of mercy. The scenes shown here sometimes supersede the idea of justice. Rather, it is a story about the struggle of a woman who was left alone with only one desire – to pave the way. And it is desirable to watch it only for people with a stable psyche.
Sometimes it is difficult to maintain the high level that you once set yourself. And when Tarantino's first (after a six-year hiatus) full-length work finally came out, many were puzzled - what was it? Tarantino surprised, and unpleasant. But the credibility was too high, and the fans accepted the film despite a tiny number of advantages and a large number of shortcomings. And all the dissenters were immediately branded in insanity and inability to understand the beauty of this ingenious creation. 'You don't like 'Kill Bill'? How come? It's a tarantina!'
Let me be clear, I like his movies. Like 'Pulp Fiction', 'Raging Dogs','Inglourious Bastards' and 'Django Released'. The last 2 came out after '. . . Bill & #39; and they just show that Tarantino has not forgotten how to make a decent movie and it is early to write off in scrap. But with ' . . Bill & #39; it was a misstep.
Believe it or not, there is absolutely nothing Tarantinian about the film. I mean, not at all. Yes, it is clear that the film was conceived as a stylization of cheap Hong Kong action movies of the 80s and the same cheap anime. But there's nothing else in the movie. There are no bright images, there are pretentious patterns. There are no memorable dialogues that could boast 'little and 'dogs' - here the dialogues are stupid and uninteresting. No acting, either. Uma Thurman is a good actress, but it seems that she has no one to play here. The whole film she runs with a stone face, regardless of the situation. There’s nothing in the movie that everyone loves Tarantino’s movies. Violent? Fountains of blood and mountains of severed limbs? But since when did this become the only artistic technique in Quentin?
And the stylization of cheap Hong Kong militants also failed in my opinion. It looks not like a stylization, but like a parody. And a bad and vulgar parody, in the spirit of some ' very scary movie'.
Many fans by the way admit that ' Kill Bill' weaker than his earlier works, and against the background of later ' Jumbo' and ' Bastards' the film looks rather wretched and alien. But you can't convince anyone. Well, do not want fans, and just lovers to admit that their idol stumbled. And I can't miss my red review. How dare I? This is tarantina!
But I'm on ' it's tarantine' not buy.
Quentin breaks into the world of physics and order.
We will sacrifice our views on cinema, where everything should be natural and perfect. Sacrifice the image of a gray mouse surrounded by a lot of negative reviews about what is around an unbalanced and absurd movie. We will sacrifice physics, gravity, sometimes logic and common sense to create a masterpiece of cinema, and otherwise how to call the film, which even years later leaves a pleasant feeling from watching, as if touched the very soul of the concept of cinema.
In a rather prosaic form, I addressed all those who hag the picture for unconventionality and so on. Let the movie – it will remain so, namely – the presentation of the vision of the world of the director, which may not always coincide with the vision of others and it is worth accepting, because when you omit meticulous beliefs, when it is really worth doing, you get a kaleidoscope of pleasant music, juicy pictures and unsurpassed plot, which the viewer will always get from Kill Bill.
Black Mamba - employee of the year, in the factory for the production of beet juice.
Strong actress, strong woman, strong heroine. And a horse for a horse, and in a burning hut, according to the American version of the ideal of a strong woman. There is nothing to learn in the West, and not only to talk about the promiscuity of the ideals of all around. Black Mamba is a perfect example of tough character and determination in a female body, which seems so fragile, to become strong and independent, but let us not cult, gentlemen and ladies. .
The moral of this fable is this.
That do not settle your scores, while you are still given the opportunity to count the days, we will expand the theme somewhat more global than the framework of the film, because not the strong win in this world, but the cunning ones, and they do not peck their nose in the right situation and draw opportunities, only they will get out of the horizon.
And finally, the axiom that the winners themselves become because of the mistakes of the losers, and not because it was established and should have been initially, so look for, amigos, loopholes and delays when necessary, they are – you just can not see them.
The death note is not closed yet or is Bill here?
Do not run, look further, because the whole point for this in our first part is: and the background of the backstory, and the expressive subsequent plot, and laying a quality aftertaste after a pleasant intrigue at the end, Tarantino would shoot series, although, by the way, what I mean.

The year 2003. Kill Bill.
To be honest, I feel cold about Quentin Tarantino’s work. I don’t like his style, the manner of presentation of the material, and the themes that he takes as the basis of his stories. Killing Bill is one of the few paintings I like.
A member of the Killer Viper Squad, Black Mamba, was brutally betrayed on her wedding day. After being shot in the head, she emerges from a coma four years later. Those who betray her will be severely punished. The resurrected bride makes a list of his goals, at the end of which stands Bill.
Well, this would seem like a simple plot, but in fact everything looks different. In fact, the two films of the dilogy are a single plot, divided into two parts. But they do not occur in the order of chronology, but are mixed and strongly intertwined. Questions that arise while watching the second movie find their answers in the first, and vice versa. A wild mess, but done thoughtfully and interestingly.
Then the characters. Well, you can say there is some pattern. The bride who was betrayed, the master sword-maker, the powerful head of the underworld of Tokyo, in the blink of an eye turning into a murderer – all this we have already seen in various variations. But Tarantino somehow managed to write all this into a single story, and it looks quite organic. For characters plus.
And the visual part. Without even looking at the name of the director, Tarantino guesses. Everything about his style can be seen in this film. The fact that bloody fountains and hundreds of severed limbs make up the lion’s share of the visual can not be said. This is a matter of course for Tarantino. But what really worked out well was the sword fight. It looks really impressive and beautiful.
It’s a good movie for Quentin Tarantino, but I loved it. Watch both, even if you’re not a fan of it. I don’t think you will be disappointed.
In '91, I made a name for myself: I let my rabid dogs out and they forged it all over the world! In '94, I became famous: I read the boulevard so skillfully that I was just bombarded with awards! From the pedestal, I watch Mikhalkov nervously smoking on the sidelines. Man, why am I so screwed up in a year? We should have abandoned this failed project immediately. Stop! That's how I disavowed. Kill Bill will be the fourth movie! How annoying these critics are! I always “say the same thing, only in different ways”, “talked and failed”. Imagined. I was like the last fool to fall for them and get so hairy with Jackie Brown. Bastards! Nothing, nothing. I'll show them. They'll see me in every shot! In anticipation of Sweet Revenge, I go to bed.

Chapter 3. Quentin's toys
Some boys in childhood were riding a bicycle, others measured with urinals, others in a different way touched parents. Such a young talent as Quentin from childhood was seriously ill with “kinophilia”. “Swallowed” in a huge amount of “fast food”, forever changed the immature consciousness of a teenager. In the movie “Kill Bill”, we will see his entire collection of favorite “toys”. Therefore, those who consider the chapters or flashbacks of the first volume a parody of the subgenres of exploitative cinema are idiots.
The beginning of the film, a small curtsey towards the jallo: the hands of the Murderers marathon on the face of the Bride. Blackplotation picks up the baton: sports Vivika Fox effectively fights and swears. Next, the Southerners - Sheriff and Big Son - inspect the crime scene (hello from spaghetti western). A coolly stylized anime flashback with Lolicon Etti elements will tell the story of O-Ren Ishi. The samurai mise-en-scene introduces us to Hattori Hanzo. The climax is set by the longest chapter of the first volume: a film about the yakuza with elements of Hong Kong militants about kung fu. Powerful scenes go one after another, where the brilliance of the sword sings a song to ultraviolence.
Unites all this traditionally male "film" ... a woman that brought the director to the fore. And if a man is indignant (Tanako's story), do not tear his head off. Is it a parody or a break in tradition?
Chapter 1. About violence
In the movie "Kill Bill" shows the world of the Bride. He is cruel because we have cold-blooded killers who kill everyone. Even unborn children. They know no pity and have long suppressed all human qualities. Whoever thinks otherwise will inevitably pay.
Unlike Quentin Tarantino’s other films, violence in the film epic Kill Bill is elevated to the rank of art. This contributes to the “dish” that the Bride prepared for everyone. And since this dish must be cold, then it will be a cold weapon to kill. But killing her will be what is considered the pinnacle of Japan's blacksmithing art: the katana. The director spared no time and allocated a whole part about Japanese swords, so that the viewer was imbued with aristocratic weapons and sympathized with the actions of the Bride. The aesthetic of murder is also emphasized by the samurai code, which does not allow the killing of surreptitiously, gives the right to revenge, and makes the Master responsible for the actions of his Disciple. And as if anticipating the attacks of critics, the director ironies himself with the words of the Sheriff: “If I were an idiot, this would almost be admired.”
Chapter 6. Fichi Tarantino
Tarantinovsky. This is not even a style of shooting, but a whole subgenre of cinema, which has its own characteristics. The name is taken from the name of its Creator, whom many (even former friends) try to imitate. Kill Bill is a classic film of this subgenre. Ficci Tarantino even a plotless film will make interesting. First, we have a time-shuffled history. Reshuffled so that the first part came out more dynamic than the second. In it, the viewer, driven to adrenaline madness by the actions of the characters, by the end of the film catches himself thinking that this is what you expect from them. Second, the contrast. One of Tarantino's favorite features. East prevails in the first part, and West in the second. That’s why dividing the film into two volumes is pretty arbitrary. The pinnacle of the contrast of the first volume was the scalping of the American “boss of all bosses” with the help of a katana in the homeland of the yakuza. Third, theatricality. The bloody bacchanalia in the House of Blue Leaves, which is replaced by a meditative mise-en-scene in the snow-white garden, is perceived as one large but complex performance. The sensation is enhanced when you see black silhouettes on a huge blue screen or duelists against a dark blue sky. Fourthly, Tarantinov’s film prose in the first volume, which should reveal the image of the character, show his inner world, is practically absent. It is replaced by a narrative story of the Bride behind the scenes. But in some places, she, like a snowdrop, in the right place, stands out from the general pile of cinematography. And then, even a small amount of screen time, will make an unforgettable charisma to any character.
Chapter 4. Highness
The music in the films of Quentin Tarantino is always a ready-made collection of your favorite soundtracks. So what if he borrowed them? Secondary use is better remembered than primary use. At least in our generation. In Kill Bill, music is very important. It sets the rhythm and pace of the picture, it emphasizes the genre affiliation of the mise-en-scene and the actions of the characters of the tape. Music as an experienced partner, leads the actors in the right direction, weaving dance pas into the dynamics of fights. The music captivates the viewer further in the film narrative, fascinates him, making the created images even more vivid. Musical accompaniment plays the role of a kind of memory key, which causes the desired video sequence. You play the culminating “Ode To Oren Ishii” in your head, and before your eyes the camera slowly falls from Buck’s face to his feet, where the bloody Bride lurks like a snake before a throw.
Epilogue
Kill Bill is a great example of skillful manipulation of spectral receptors. A rich palette of feelings will spill out of those who want to see this film. You will worry, laugh, rejoice, empathize, feel pain and suffering. Being a skilled storyteller, the director, if you are intrigued, will not let go. He will attack you unexpectedly, give you answers and make you think about questions. He will launch his claws into you and bring you to the end of the last scene. He will pass through all the bloody meat grinder that the Bride will arrange on his way. It is you who will want those swift actions from which you will jump on your couch. You will lean closer to the screen to see better. You will tighten your fists, waiting for the outcome. You hold your breath so you don’t miss anything. You will be hypnotized by music. Are you sure that's what you want?
Once again reviewing "Kill Bill" somewhere in the morning, and not finding someone to share (another) delight, I decided to pour everything out here.
Quentin Torantino, thank you, great of people. Every detail, every word and every look deserves a standing ovation. This is just a balm on the soul of a moviegoer, when you realize how much everyone enjoys the process, from actors to staff and of course the director himself.
In my opinion, in the history of modern cinema, this is the best collection of soundtracks, also the most unusual.
Uma Thurman is a golden-haired warrior, the personification of revenge as the meaning of this word. She's really cool. As much as she blossoms with the love of her director, so does she bring that inspiration and love to us with her beautiful performance.
Being with the author of the idea of the film - Miss Thurman thank you too.
And finally. Incomparable and my favorite Lucy Liuaka O-Ren Ishi. She's beautiful, beautiful! She's got pussies from her game. All my love for Asia is amplified by a million decibels when I look at O-Ren. It is pride and nobility in one gesture, a mortal threat in a grin in the corner of her lips, those moon-eyed and spiritualized face fights at the head of anyone. She is incredibly charming, even for a murderer.
Her farewell phrase on the title of this review is my discovery today.
After all, none of Beatrice’s abusers, whom she so ruthlessly and skillfully revenged, never admitted their guilt, not even Bill, who claimed to love her. Such behavior, honest word, deserves death.
They all look so miserable and vile against the background of O-Ren Ishi, this is the main difference between East and West.
The East can admit guilt and apologise without dropping its dignity one drop and walk away as a hero. And the West comes up with ridiculous excuses, even knowing and realizing its wrongness and is ready to bury the opponent alive, even if it is up to injustice.
It's real art. For endless humor and inexhaustible inspiration once again Bravo.

The story of revenge in Kill Bill is very beautiful. We are shown a strong woman who is able to protect herself and defend her interests. And the filing itself with flashbacks showing the history of the characters and how they came to such a life cannot but cause pleasant sensations. First they show us why Beatrix ended up in the hospital. Then the action scene of the showdown with Vernita, then the hospital again, and then to Japan and action. And every time there are no regrets for Beactrix, they arise for her victims. Because of course, this aunt is armored and nothing will stop her. And this is all you need to know about the plot, our heroine is very purposeful, "sees the goal, sees no obstacles."
The actors tried very hard to create memorable images for their characters. Of course, the ball is ruled by Uma Thurman, there is no fault with her. She's both cruel and beautiful. And the character of Lucy Liu looks very domineering and self-confident. O-Ran does not shy herself in any way, she can frankly swear at a meeting of Boss, allows herself to behave as you like with others and, at a certain need, she does not forget to poke everyone that she is here “Main”. And of course, it is impossible not to note the external beauty of all the characters, probably this feeling evokes the fact that most scenes are cruel, and something beautiful should be.
The film has everything you need to enjoy. Outright cruelty, it is both moral and physical up to dismemberment. Engaging dialogue, revealing characters, and you get into them and understand everyone’s motives. Well, of course, it's action, it's just right here and it's put very cool that you can watch without interruption. All those who have “High moral principles” the film is not naturally suitable, because they will go round and round from the realization that something like this can be, in fact. But for all those who like tin, interesting stories, deeply worked out characters and dynamic action - this film is a must-see.

You can't betray women. They are vindictive and violent in their revenge. (c)
Great is the power of the one who is going to take revenge. Revenge gives confidence, revenge spreads wings in the soul of the one who decides on it, and its power begins. Any act committed in the name of revenge has tenfold force. (c)
"Kill Bill" - the fourth solo film of the cult director Quentin Tarantino, which at one time made a lot of noise.
The film tells the story of one girl, who because of the betrayal of her allies was in a coma, and after waking up began to take revenge. It seems like a simple plot, there is nothing new in it, but it would not be Quentin Tarantino if he did not turn a banal story into something very impressive. I was very happy that the film was reshaped by Japanese culture. I love this country in all its forms. And for the excerpt in the genre of anime - a special thank you.
The plot is divided into chapters and flows at its pace, it does not overload and does not let you get bored. Everything is dynamic and colorful. As always happens in the paintings of this director – blood is poured in an endless stream. There are such fountains that impressionable viewers should not look.
Separately, it is worth commending the operator’s work. Robert Richardson showed us beautiful plans and video sequences, where at times the incompatible is combined. It's just worth the shots at the restaurant. I just fell in love with the Japanese snow garden.
Uma Thurman was very pleased in the role of a bloody avenger, and Lucy Liu was a worthy rival to her. Also worth noting is Daryl Hannah as a one-eyed bandit. Tiaki Kuriyama in the role of GoGo looked impressive - a truly inadequate heroine. In general, all female characters looked spectacular, men were lost on their plan.
And the music was just amazing! One of the best movie soundtracks I've ever heard. Each composition left its mark on the memory. He (the soundtrack) almost all migrated to my playlist: "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)"", "Twisted Nerve", "The Grand Duel (Parte Prima)", "The Lonely Shepherd", "Green Hornet", "Battle Without Humanity", "I'I'doob"Beattleb>, >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>,>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Separately, it is worth noting the sound effect with "Ironside".
In the end, I can say that this is a very spectacular film. History is as old as the world, but it is presented beautifully. The caste delighted immensely. And the picture and soundtrack were just amazing. I highly recommend it.
Cicatillo = Tarantino not only by the number of letters, or How to remove a high-quality visual guide for beginner maniacs
“The army rebelled! They say that the Tsar is not real! (“Ivan Vasilyevich changes his profession”)
I am absolutely not surprised by so few negative reviews not only for this film, but in principle for the entire work of King Ketchup and Butafort Blood. This was quite expected, since it is quite understandable and has one simple explanation - when such directors appear and for dubious merits against the background of a tendency to sadism win awards, recognitions from critics to ordinary spectators and become almost idols of worship, all immediately with puppy eyes faithfully begin to rapturously vomit praise odes, worship the skill of the King. In short, we just start talking about the ideal and the ideal director and the fact that each film is almost a cut diamond, a nugget, a valuable treasure of cinema and a find for movie gourmets. But there is nothing perfect in the world, and cinema is no exception. And this is just tinsel and rose-tinted glasses for those who consider violence and incredible liters of blood under the guise of ketchup the pinnacle of art. And the Tsar himself is really not real, with such and such habits and inclinations to sadism.
Is now such a pseudo-cinema is valued and put on a par with really Masterpieces: "Titanic", "The Magnificent Seven", "Gladiator", etc.? - This is the question you should ask yourself after watching another incompetent, thoughtless and meaningless Galimatia with the cutting off of heads, the release of intestines and other abomination, which is no less senseless and devoid of any common sense and logic. Although this can also be easily explained, such influential people can do anything, even they can not care not only about moral values and foundations, but also about history. And what really amazes me is that it's all easy to say good-bye, like a child who's lost her life. I will not go back to Inglourious Basterds - I have already said enough about Tarantino's attitude not only to history, but also to such a terrible event as the war.
After criticizing my two previous films, I decided not to postpone the case in a long box and for myself got acquainted with the biography, dug into filmography, read interviews. And then I remembered another movie that I had an unpleasant experience watching as a student. To Kill Bill is, in fact, the very starting point from which all this nonsense of a madman began, which is now undeservedly equated with the Great Art, insulting it and turning it into a manual for beginners Cicatillo. But indeed, there is everything here - seas of blood (albeit fake), severed heads and other parts of the body, poured out of the inside. What is not a manual for a beginner maniac with anatomy in addition? It is quite suitable for the propaganda of cruelty, and for the degradation of the individual. And that’s where the worst part begins when you don’t know which is worse, to become a sadist or to become a stupefying degraded person... it’s just a nightmare dilemma. We even have people who grew up in a movie like this, and guess three times which one will grow up? And everything will immediately fall into place. The answer is simple, clear and lies literally on the surface.
The plot here is needed only “for a tick” to somehow justify all that urine and crumble right-to-left, which occupies almost the entire timekeeping, not to mention the pathetic attempts to parody the “Matrix” in some moments by some inhuman kung fu – and this is not all the idiocy of what is happening. I don’t talk about physics and biology because they weren’t even close. Even in an ordinary action movie there will be more.
I can't say anything bad about acting. Nothing good either, by the way. Uma Thurman – although she tried, but I had the feeling that before me all the same Milla Jovovich in the image of a samurai, crumbling not zombies, but Japanese yakuza. I don’t mind cliches and cliches, but here they were very obvious – only a blind person could not notice it. I won’t say anything about David Carradine – the actor is no longer with us in this world, so out of basic respect for the dead, I’ll just keep quiet here. The only thing I will say is thank you for Escape from Prisoner of War Camp, a classic of military patriotic films, watched several times on old VHS tapes.
To summarize: actually, what can be summarized here? It makes no sense to repeat, and to say something new nothing comes to mind due to the fact that all emotions and all painful things were poured out in the review. Stupidity, degradation and complete nonsense - that's all "genius" Tarantino.
Consider 'Vol. 1' and 'Vol. 2' as independent pictures are quite difficult, and, in general, disrespectful to the director. So I prefer to talk about the dilogy 'Kill Bill' as a whole movie.
So, 'Kill Bill' is a dream movie. Each director has such a film, but not every director decides to shoot it, and if he decides, it is very rare to shoot it so that someone else likes it, except the director himself. An obvious example is 'Prohibited Admission' Zack Snyder.
Even if you haven’t watched Quentin Tarantino’s favorite movies, you can’t help but guess that many of the scenes from Kill Bill’s #39 are quotes, interpretations and tributes. The spirit of old cinema is too strong in them, especially in the East.
Quentin Tarantino is a moviegoer to the bone, and like any moviegoer, he wanted to tell his favorite stories in his own way. And he did it. 'Kill Bill' - bright, original, daring ... Drama. Yeah. In the midst of all this madness with severed limbs and fountains of blood, the director managed to make the viewer empathize with the main character - largely thanks to the ingenious soundtrack, capable of stirring the hearts of the hardest crackers.
