Actress Zoya Nikolaevna Vasilkova was born on May 4, 1926 in Leningrad. During the Great Patriotic War, 17-year-old Zoya made a serious and strong-willed decision to volunteer for the front. After the end of the Great Patriotic War, returning home, Zoya Nikolaevna planned to devote her life to the profession of a singer, but fate ordered quite differently. She entered the Higher State Institute of Cinematography (V.Vanin course) and after graduating in 1949 was enrolled to work in the Theater Studio of the film actor. Closed team troupe went on a long tour to China, GDR, Poland. Bright, irresistible, talented actress had a stunning success on stage and in the movies.
In the 50s, Zoya Nikolaevna starred mainly in episodic roles. She coped perfectly exactly where it was necessary to show the integrity of Russian women: boyars, countess, or ordinary girls, nannies, Cossacks.
Since 1959, Zoya Vasilkova worked on the stage of the M. Gorky film studio.
