The artist was born on January 21, 1897 in the city of Ramenskoye near Moscow. In 1918, after graduating from the gymnasium, he came to Moscow, where he searched for himself for some time - first he was a student of the higher technical school, where he studied as an architect, then studied painting, then became a student of VKHUTEMAS, where he also mastered painting. In addition, he visited the theater studio, learning acting skills, and as a result in 1922 he came to the theater of the Moscow Art Theater, where he was first an actor, then also staged performances. In 1936, the theater was closed, the artist played on other stage venues, in 1938 he was in Lencom. During the war, Evgeny Alekseevich went with concerts to the front line, speaking as part of the frontline brigade, then returned to Lenkom.
In 1959, he left for Magadan, where he was engaged in productions at the local theater, a few years later he returned to Moscow, where he had just starred in films. With the cinema Gurov connects long-term cooperation, which began in the late 1930s. The actor played in several dozen films, remaining throughout his career as an episode actor.
