American actor Cuba Jr. Gooding Jr. was born on January 2, 1968 in the Bronx, New York, to a family of musicians. His father is the famous singer-vocalist of the R&B group of the 70s “The Main Ingredient”.
While still in school, Cuba played in theater productions and danced. Later, this experience helped him get his first small roles in TV series. And at the age of 16, he performed at the closing of the Olympics in Los Angeles as a break dancer in a dance group with singer Lionel Richie.

In 1988, Cuba debuted on the big screen in a minor role in the hit
comedy "Coming to America" The main role in which he performed
"Jerry Maguire" where he played with
Tom Cruise For which he won an Oscar (best supporting role). He became the fourth African-American actor in the history of the award.
After this triumph, Cuba's career went up sharply. He starred in more than 30 films, many of which became real hits. The list of his works includes roles in films.
