Even her name – Rada – has Hindu roots and means devotion, as in Hindu culture called the beloved of the young god Krishna. According to other sources, her name comes from a mixing of the Indian words Rani, meaning queen, and Anunda, meaning joy.
Rada Mitchell studied at St. Michael's Gymnasium in Australia. She began her career in film when she was very young, taking part in the filming of one of the children's television series on Australian television. Her first serious role was the series Neighbours, where in 1994 she played two roles simultaneously with completely opposite characters. In the future, Rada devoted to filming in this series for another three years.
In 1997, her roles in All Together and High Art were awarded the Independent Spirit Film Award. They were followed by even more successful projects, such as Black Hole, where she was a partner.
