Actor Augustin Lazarevich Milovanov left a noticeable mark in the history of Soviet cinema and theater art. He was born on June 16, 1937. Actor Augustin Lazarevich Milovanov left a noticeable mark in the history of Soviet cinema and theater art.
He was born on June 16, 1937. During his creative life he managed to become an actor of the Y. Kolas Belarusian Theatre and for about forty years worked as a leading actor on the stage of the Yanka Kupala Belarusian National Academic Theatre. He is well known to film lovers and television viewers; for twenty years he taught at the Belarusian Theatre and Art Institute on the subject of “Actor’s Skill”. His numerous directorial experiences on the stages of amateur theaters are also known. In 1988, he was awarded the title of Laureate of the State Prize of the Belarusian SSR, and a year later - the national artist of the Belarusian SSR.
Critics used to call him a master of the Belarusian stage. He outplayed a great many roles, organically getting used to both the image of the peasant and the image of the great ruler. Among his heroes: Tevye the Milkman ("Memorial Prayer" by Gregory Gorin), Osip ("Inspector"), Host ("Holy simplicity" by Andrei Makaenko), von Walter ("Cunning and Love" by Schiller), Happy ("Forest" Ostrovsky). His existence on stage was hardly a game - so organic and natural he was.
The first film in which he starred as Alex in 1970 was called Ruins Shoot. Then there were shootings in the films “Unexpected Love”, “All the Royal Men”, “Zimorodok”, “Bronze Bird”, “State Border”, “Notes of a Young Doctor”, “From Hell to Hell”. Mature Milovanov, who returned to cinema after a long break, the audience saw in series and tapes – “Law” (2002), “Kamenskaya-2”. I Died Yesterday (2002) and Station (2003).
