His success in film was accompanied by interesting works on the stage, among which stands out the production of "Distant Lights". He also appeared in the television miniseries Lone Pigeon.
For his role in the television film Miss Rose White, D.B. Sweeney was awarded the prestigious Emmy Award in 1992.
