Nikolai Nikolaevich Kryukov was born on July 8, 1915 in the village of Zamytye of the Tver province. He began his working life at the Leningrad plant "Sevkabel", but in the 1930s he became seriously interested in theater and entered the studio at the Leningrad BDT. Since 1936, the actor worked in the theater-studio under the leadership of S.E. Radlov, successfully played leading roles in Leningrad. In 1940, Nikolai Kryukov for the first time began to act in films - he was invited to the film "Politruk Kolyvanov", but the picture was not completed. During the Great Patriotic War, the theater was in Pyatigorsk, and Nikolai Kryukov, along with other actors, was in the occupied territory, was then taken to Germany - so after the war he was not hired in the Moscow and Leningrad theaters. He played in different theaters of the country - in Tbilisi, in Tver, in Rostov-on-Don, in Riga, and in 1958 the actor began to work at the film studio "Lenfilm". In the same 1958, the film The Last Inch was released, in which Nikolai Kryukov essentially made his film debut and in which he played the role of Ben. This work was awarded the prize of the All-Union Film Festival for the best male role. The actor acted a lot and successfully in the 1960-1970s, playing a large number of memorable roles.
