Edith-Marie Piecha, a Russian singer, was born on July 31, 1937 in Noiel-sou-Lance, France.
In 1946, Edita and her family moved to Poland. She goes to school, sings in the school choir. Then she receives higher education in the pedagogical lyceum, which graduates with honors, there she also studies Russian.
In 1955, Pieha came to Leningrad on a Komsomol tour to study at the Leningrad University, at the Faculty of Philosophy. During her studies, Edita takes part in student concerts, performs at the New Year student “Lights” with the student vocal ensemble “Friendship”. The first such performance of Pieha becomes a real triumph - she sang encore four times, and the next day the whole city learned about her and the team. The next year, Pieha takes part in the filming of the dock “Masters of Leningrad pop” with the compositions “Red bus” and “Guitar of love”.
Edita Pieha and the ensemble “Friendship” perform in different countries of the globe, for example, in Czechoslovakia, Poland, Afghanistan, Hungary, Cuba, France and the United States. In 1976, Edita Pieha organized her own ensemble, with which she performs. Throughout his creative career, Pieha collaborates with composers.
by M. Fradkin, and by poets
E. Dolmatovsky and others.
Edita Stanislavovna is the “opener” of the doors to the European stage. It was Pieha who showed the Soviet Union how to dance a twist and shake, was the first to perform compositions from the stage with a microphone in her hands (and not on the counter, as it was before), and the first Pieha begins to communicate with the audience during the performance.
The list of wonderful performers of the Soviet stage, which is headed by Edita Stanislavovna Pieha, can be continued indefinitely, it includes such artists as
Lyudmila Gurchenko Valentina Tolkunova,
Hope Babkin And many others.
Edita Pieha still pleases fans with her work, making tours in various CIS countries and abroad, for example, in 2009-2010 she performs in the largest cities of Russia (“from Moscow to the outskirts”), the Baltic States, Ukraine, Belarus, the United States and Israel, where the singer is greeted with great enthusiasm and cordiality. /
