Sergei Prokofiev graduated from the St. Petersburg Conservatory as a composer (1909) and a pianist (1914). At the age of seventeen he performed his own works at concerts. In the period from 1918 to 1933, he toured the world, where he met Caroline Kodina-Lubera, who later became his wife and bore him two sons Svyatoslav and Oleg.
The most famous works of Sergei Prokofiev were: the opera "War and Peace", the ballet "Romeo and Juliet", the cantata "Alexander Nevsky", the symphonic tale "Peter and Wolf" and "Symphony No. 7", written a year before the composer's death, he took Mirfo and his wife in 1941.
The last years of his life, the composer spent almost all his time in the country. He died in 1953 from a hypertensive crisis. /
