Antonina Bogdanova was born on April 21, 1904 in Astrakhan. Education began in 1912 in the Astrakhan diocesan school, continued in the private gymnasium Nikiforova.
After the October Revolution in 1920-1923, she studied at the Baku Conservatory in piano and singing, but due to a hand injury, she had to leave school. In 1932, at the invitation of the head of the Central Theater of the Red Army, she moved to Moscow, entered the theater, where she served for 51 years. During this time, dozens of bright roles were played.
Arriving in the cinema at a fairly mature age, Antonina Bogdanova was remembered by the film audience in the images of ordinary Russian women, grandmothers and mothers. In 1957 came the legendary
film "Cranes Fly" where she played Varvara Kapitonovna, grandmother of Irina and Boris. A number of unforgettable screen images Bogdanova continued the role of Praskovya in the film “Chairman” (1964), the mother of the blacksmith-sculptor Koli in the film almanac “Strange People” (1969), one of the most prominent roles – the mother of Zhenya (“Strange Woman” (1977). Another great role - Marina Mikhailovna in the film "Fract for Shalopai" (1979).
Antonina Bogdanova died on August 18, 1983. Buried at the Vostryakov cemetery in Moscow.
