Therefore, after the fourth year, he managed to transfer to GITIS, which Filippov successfully graduated in 1973. After training, the actor entered the service in the Moscow theater named after Mayakovsky, with whom he has not parted for a long time. In the theater Filippov played many of the most diverse roles, including Napoleon and Sancho Panza. In every, even secondary role, the actor gives 100 percent. One of the most striking works of Filippov is recognized as the role of Kochkarev in the play “Marriage” based on the play by N.V. Gogol, which was staged in the theater on Pokrovka. For her, the actor received the State Prize of the Russian Federation.
The debut of Mikhail Filippov in the cinema took place in 1975. It was Mr. Fouquet's role in

The 90s were marked for Filippov by participation in the TV series “Denouement of St. Petersburg Mysteries” and “D.D. Dossier of Detective Dubrovsky”.
In the new millennium, Filippov’s talent remains in demand. His very bright role is the image of businessman Dudypin in the comedy directed by Dmitry Tomashpolsky “Dzisai”, which was released in 2004.
The personal life of Mikhail Filippov was also rich and happy. His first wife was Irina Andropova, the daughter of the head of the KGB and the future Secretary General of the CPSU Central Committee. The second wife was the famous actress Natalia Gundareva, whose death Filippov experienced extremely difficult.
