Viktor Anatolyevich Sergeev was born in 1938. In 1957-1960 he studied at the law faculty of Leningrad State University. In 1960-1964 Viktor Sergeev worked at the film studio "Belarusfilm" - assistant director, assistant director. In 1966, he came to the Lenfilm film studio. In 1972, Viktor Sergeev graduated from the directorial faculty of the Leningrad Institute of Culture named after N. K. Krupskaya. As a director, Viktor Sergeev made his debut with the film “The Treasure”, released in 1988. Fame brought the director the criminal drama “The Executioner” (1990). The attention of the audience was also enjoyed by the film Genius (1991), with Alexander Abdulov in the title role. A lot of noise was made by the political militant Sergeyev with the same Abdulov in the title role - "Schizophrenia" (1997). In addition to directing, Viktor Sergeev also acts as a producer ("American", "Molokh").
