David Lynch once published the key to the movie Mulholland Drive. Convenient for those who do not understand what the movie is about.
I think the new Bremen musicians need a similar thing, at least somehow explaining what it was.
1. Screen Bremen is in the mountains, and in the day from it - deserts and canyons. No doubt, this is Dagestan. Perhaps this is just a new dock from National Geographic, bought by SevKavTV.
2. The guards, when Trubadur was caught and the atamanshu was not, ran too slowly. Heroes move through space and time beyond human capabilities. Maybe it's just Nolan's new misunderstood film. 'Argument 2'?
3. Why is it so similar to any New Year's Eve on TNT? Perhaps this is just a terrible dream of Demis Caribides, and we are all in it.
4. Troubadour spent 25 years in prison (and the actor over 30), somewhere pumped up and after his release frantically looking for a guitar. Perhaps this is a new series of “Black Mirror” in the style of “Polar Bear”, which was written by the neural network.
5. Animals in kringe suits on every corner will shout that they are animals (one dragon in general), but no one pays attention to them. Although everyone else is human. We may be watching a study of four cases of severe schizophrenia.
6. Burunov in the role of the king constantly offered everyone some kind of game. Maybe it's another "Saw", just in a new setting.
7. Given the illogical time travel and the situation in which the Princess somehow got into the chest, it is possible that this is a long-awaited adaptation of the books about Tanya Grotter. Or the hero here in general Garin Peter.
8. Robbers in iron armor are constantly shaking like Quakers, and the electric guitar plays in the hands of Troubadour without current right in the middle of the field. Perhaps this is a biopic about Magneto, who from Poland came to Bremen.
9. The whole chronicle is shown by the contradictions between the anarchists (robbers) and the monarchists (king and retinue). In the end, they criticize capitalism (they don’t share gold). Perhaps this is a postmodern adaptation of Marx’s Capital.
10. The donkey never sleeps. That's weird. Maybe we're just in the donkey version of the Truman show.
That's all I got. The fact that any of these versions would make more sense than the one that eventually came out in the winter under the name "Bremen Musicians".
In the New Year rental failed to watch on the big screen this version of the beautiful Soviet cartoon “Bremen musicians”. I have no regrets. It's a good thing I didn't spend the money.
I really like Soviet cartoons. There is no substitute, not even the best movie. I was expecting more from this film. From the cartoon there are only famous songs. But I didn't get the rock genre either. Usually, if I like a movie, I watch it in one breath. And then all the time distracted on some business, it was boring and drawn out. It's a good start. Sweet, young Troubadour lives with his mother (where the father is not clear...), loves to sing and sings for the child perfectly. My mother (Julia Peresild) grows flowers, so only they listen to Troubadour’s songs in their house. But “they don’t even have ears,” says the boy, and dreams of singing for a live audience, not for flowers. It is a pity that Julia has a very small and short role here.
And then, to me, the script is full of nonsense. If everything is harmonious and logical in the cartoon, there is some kind of absurdity.
The action takes place in fabulous times, and the clothes of the main characters are modern. Trubadur had his leather pants amused. By the way, the role of an adult Trubadur could be more attractive.
The princess looks hysterical. A question for the director of her dances with arrogant movements. It made me resent her. And it is a bit of an arrogant thing, without rooting out.
Animal musicians. I will not describe all of them, but they are unique. A question for the actors who agreed to these roles, where faces are not visible and voices are difficult to distinguish. Although some costumes are quite realistic, but it would be better to use computer graphics. Pity Dmitry Dyuzhev, if he himself in the role of the Donkey all the time dragged the wagon.
And why imitate the habits of animals? The dog stuck out his tongue all the time and sniffed everyone, the cat spit out his hair, the rooster constantly waved his wings and cuckooed in the rising sun. I know they're animals, but they didn't act that way in the cartoon and everything was fine. These things were annoying.
And various musical groups that performed by order of the King. One peasant woman with her children's choir sang and played on the washboard so that at the end of her speech they were all in foam, and others did music with armpits. Are you serious, writers? What is this nonsense?
And inexplicable from the point of view of the character, the act of the Genius Detective, to which I want to say: “Really?” Why did you suddenly find a villain?
Perhaps the most interesting and funny characters are the King and the Atamansha, and that is only because the roles were played by Sergey Burunov and Maria Aronova. Beautiful bright, charismatic actors.
Amused them with funny sentimentalism closer to the finale. And the metamorphoses of the Atamance and the royal wedding for what? I didn't understand at all.
And in the plot constantly appears “royal pendel”, which is distributed to one and then to other characters and even to the King himself (but it was epic).
All in all, I liked only the beginning and the rare funny lines of Atamance and the King. No script. It's a family movie, but for me, it's not for every kid. There are other cartoon adaptations. They also have a script not in an exact copy of the cartoon, but they are at least pleasant to watch.
My conclusion: spoiled the movie, the cartoon is better!
Fun, fun, not boring. I enjoyed watching it. The biggest drawbacks I remember: 1) The ending is blatantly leaked. And the idea that everyone is saved by the party from Eurovision is very infuriating. 2) How animals are made. Well, we still can not normally film animals. Although here, if you do not find fault, they even look interesting and behave, there is a kind of individuality. If the errors were insignificant, they were not remembered. I don't regret watching.
To release this hit gathered all the giants of the Russian entertainment industry
Producer Nikita Mikhalkov and the studio “TriTe” released another hit for the New Year. I was glad that this fantasy starred Khabensky. Director Alexei Nuzhny shot a fairy tale about Troubadur, who became famous thanks to natural data, not schooling. I liked the phrase to Troubadour: "It all started with you, and your song should give the sun to people." Of course, nuggets with their voices of hope cannot be kept in prison. It is a fairy tale of a miracle, a magical voice, a divine gift. Very good musical accompaniment of the heroes. Composers Gladkov and Fadeev I put 5 with three pluses. What's the moral in the movie? Children without parenting will get into a bad campaign and will be in jail. What did I like? This is the spark between Troubadour and the Princess. A love affair between the main characters is played out for the age limit of 6+. The actor Zhiznevsky famously played Troubadur. His desire for revenge, parental love, and friendliness with the Princess change at a rate that all actors cannot play. Thanks to the editors.
You can see that the image quality is 4K. This is super quality for the cinema and for the TV. Most importantly, all heroes want to be loved. They all lack affection and a good heart. I laughed at the Princess' rebranding joke. The red line director Necessary conducts: “Revenge will be silenced if love settles in the heart.” I also liked the fact that the characters understand: “Because of the voice of Troubadour, everything began, and the song will end.” All music tracks give a powerful charge of positive emotions. To release this hit, all the giants of the Russian entertainment industry gathered - Nikita Mikhalkov, Maxim Fadeev, Soyuzmultfilm, Central Partnership, Russian movie stars. Love and music are wrapped in a fantasy tale with familiar heroes. Still, Nikita Mikhalkov can create New Year's hits, which you watch all year with pleasure.
I also liked the fact that all the songs are duplicated on the screen. It's a karaoke movie. The gift of God should be cut in school, not in prison. But love inspires everyone and always gives hope. It's a very fun, musical tale. I recommend it to all fans of Russian cinema.
This musical will please the whole family: adults, teenagers, and young children. I was fascinated by the film. Director Alexei Necessary made a hit that will be remembered for many years.
That’s how you read reviews, and then you think – before watching – is everything so bad? No, you can't! I'll check it out for myself.
I checked. No, it's worse. Because somehow seriously discuss and analyze all this disgustingly staged and poorly played buffoon - in general, it is completely meaningless.
And that’s fine – some furry-tresh (of course 18+) – I would accept and understand, but – it seems to me – different members of the filmmaking (and production) group set themselves completely different tasks – and in the end made a movie that just falls apart before our eyes.
Well, let’s say that the individual “animals” look just great. They're bright, they're weird, they're scary. In addition, each of them satirically works out some stereotype (sexy Cat, stupid Donkey, humiliating Dog, pontous Rooster). It would be all appropriate and entertaining – in some horror film in the spirit of Jan Schwankmeier with elements of a symphonic metal musical! But in a candy-family film about how everything got well, such images are simply clinically inappropriate.
Or Troubadour. With his dark history in the spirit of Oliver Twist... The boy inadvertently burns down his house, experiencing the death of his mother at the same time. And then he gets involved with bandits. And then he's put in jail (for 10 years or something) just for performing a song in the square (yes, satire again). And then he comes out with a desire to take revenge on the bandits who set him up. That's cool. If the Coen brothers did that, it would be a masterpiece.
With the bandits is a separate story. They're taking over the city! They are actually taking power in the country. They stage a rock concert first, and then, on the same stage, executions and tortures. Wait, wait, is that satire again?
Alas, no. These are the ridiculous elements of a falling film. And the revenge of Troubadour-orphans, and the coup with torture, and even ambitious rock furries – do not add up to that cute funny family movie about adventure and love, which was positioned in the announcements and trailers. And which seems to be related to the animated films "Bremen Musicians" and "Following the Bremen Musicians".
And my main complaint with this "Bremensky" is not that there is too much kitsch and thrash in this film, but that there is too little kitsch and thrash. In the fact that, having invented the original frightening characters, the authors of the film (themselves frightened, or what) poured on top of some faceless syrup.
In general, I have a feeling that many modern Russian films (especially fantasy ones) are made by intelligent, educated and creative people who are damn cramped in the stuffy framework of the “people will not understand” format. Individual ideas are great, the work of make-up artists, decorators, operators, lights - super! But when all this has to be done as a “family film”, and even with a happy ending, and even with the propaganda of “values” – that’s when such murky and ridiculous “Bremensky” are obtained.
I can’t say that the original Soviet cartoon was my favorite cartoon as a child, but what I liked is for sure. And, first of all, due to the beautiful compositions written for the original cartoon. The cartoon was, in fact, a musical and it bribed. And after many years, a film adaptation of the famous Soviet cartoon comes out.
We talked a lot about him before going out, waiting for him to come out even more. How right, when these two circumstances fall on the release of the domestic tape, nothing good to wait. In general, the Bremen Musicians of the twenty-third year correspond to this rule.
The main thing I was worried about was how the main characters would be recreated on screen. I'm talking about animals, of course. And to be honest, from a visual point of view, it's not all that bad. But they were characteristically and behaviorally made by some fools. They're always crooked, they're talking nonsense. Except that the cat, performed by Irina Gorbacheva looks quite good. The other characters in the story look pretty good. Burunov plays exactly as we all used to, but he really looks like the king from the original cartoon. There are questions to the image of Atamanshi performed by Aronova, since I did not understand why it was necessary to talk with such hoarseness, and to the brilliant detective performed by Khabensky. The latter, I think, did not get into the role at all.
The two main disadvantages of this tape are the musical accompaniment and the plot. With the first everything is frankly bad: the new songs are much lost to the old ones, and some of the old ones were much mocked. Atamansha, reading rap is complete nonsense. And in this sense, perhaps it would be better to focus on the musical study, and not on the animals for which everyone was so worried.
And the plot in this tape, I thought, very much confused. He's not complicated, he's just confused. I am sure that the journey of musicians to the festival and their meeting with various difficulties would look much more interesting, rather than this gallimatia about good and evil.
This film is very attractive at first. An old story, beloved characters, the promise of time travel to his childhood, great songs and a remarkable cast. But when you start watching it, it’s like opening a Pandora’s box. Beautiful initial shots and an amazing song, like a beautiful box lid, open the way to the further content of this work. The difficult childhood of the troubadour (who, after a long time in prison, came out of there tanned, pumped up and with the best of intentions), the atamanshi’s dubious love for young boys, the “atrocity of the regime” over ordinary people who are trying to survive, the hysterical “independent” princess who follows a dream, and the cherry on the cake, the animal musicians who escaped from the movie “Winnie the Pooh blood and honey” are what we saw in the first 30 minutes of the film. Further, maintaining the clarity of consciousness, it is impossible to watch the film, sharp transitions, incomprehensible arches and the logic of the characters’ actions are introduced into a stupor. It would seem that there is a beautiful source material, expand and deepen it, modern. The film breaks the psyche of even an adult. Surprisingly, in 1969, they were able to fit the logic, beauty, clarity and kindness of the story in 20 minutes, and in 2024 even the picture could not be fully made beautiful.
Well, we caught up with the quality of Western films, they are now equally terrible everywhere.
Honestly, when I went to the premiere of the flying ship, I thought it could not be worse. Wrong. Maybe. For a long time postponed viewing this “miracle” because of the disgusting voices and models of animal characters. You know, that wasn't the worst part. The most disgusting was the plot. It seems that only the title remains of the original work. Come on, if only the plot was adequate, but you're serious about showing it to the kids? The limit should be at least 14+, no less! It seems that the plan for the film’s beginning was: ‘We don’t know how to smoothly get to the main thing, so let’s show Trubadur’s childhood, his mother will die, then he will go to the city where he will be sheltered by Atamansha, who, according to the original plot, was supposed to appear much later and let’s make her a villain! And the little Troubadur will be put in prison for several years, because it will definitely please the children! The whole film is saturated with a disgusting gloomy atmosphere, which does not fit into the original meaning. The detective did not understand by whom, lost all his zest, which was in the cartoon. Shame on you. I put one star only because of songs that at least did not lose their value and gave color to all this horror.
If at first I was happy with remakes of cartoons of my childhood, now I am very disappointed. You can’t even show this movie to children, and adults are terrified of it. This nightmare has no right to be called the Bremen Musicians.
Two worlds, two Shapiros. Over the weekend, I watched an excellent modern Russian painting “Musicians of Bremen”. At the cinema. It was worth it! Reading reviews) Fairly note the connection with the Soviet musical cartoon (bypassing this circumstance is impossible), but how?
Songs and music, first and foremost. Someone Magomayev and Anofriev extols, and someone just whispers Maxim Fadeev - popsovik mole, and period. In my opinion, the latter worked very carefully with the weaving of new notes into the fabric of the old musical tale of Gladkov and Entin. Rocker and rapper inserts did not spoil anything. And his own songs brought the requisite sliver - after all, this is not a classic, canonical production. In general, the musical component is five points out of five for those who are familiar with the old material and were ready to sing along with the artists. I don't know about the new audience. And the fact that the actors tried to sing themselves is also a plus. There is no need to breed a philharmonic, an acting song is a special article. Well done producers that the soundtrack has already posted on YandexMusic. You can listen. There's usually some kind of stupid thing about it.
The story. A 20-minute cartoon and a two-hour art picture, of course, cannot be directly compared. New storylines appeared in the picture, the characters were revealed more fully (especially the detective performed by Khabensky brights, however, his line was cut off incomprehensibly). But the main pathos of Soviet cinema remained, in my opinion. They do not like to read morals today (especially before the beginning of the SVO), but here everything is fine. Peace to the huts is war to the palaces; friendship and love, but without deception; art has the power to influence the world for the better—many seeds are scattered. Troubadour, many complain, turned into a contemporary-neurasthenic in the plot - there is a little.
My resume. Both sides are picky (contemporaries and contemporaries of this film). The goal is to spit on attempts to build bridges between generations. As the director of the film Necessary said, five generations will find something of their own.
I'm going to the creative group. A director with a decent filmography. “I’m losing weight”, “A couple from the future” (where he brought the duet of Aronova and Burunov) – luck is unambiguous. "Fire" - blockbuster, on modern material, looks with interest. These films healed for me his film “Loud Communication”.
Burunov gave a very serious job. Maybe even one of the best. Without sticking to him, it seemed forever, vulgarities. A touching performance of the father's role. The father of the young princess is not a khukhry-muhry, a great responsibility. The princess herself is good. Lyapina grows up, but she does not lose her girlly enthusiasm and playfulness. I convinced her to be a princess. About Zhiznevsky-Trubadur - see above. Animal musicians are plastic and organic – makeup artist from Vysotsky tried to fame. And in general, the fact that there was no computer graphics, brought the film to a new height. Even literally. Shooting in the mountains in a Russian film is fantastic! Beautiful!!!

I recommend it. From the latest films on Soviet motives - "Cheburashka", "By pike order" - the best!
First of all, I want to express my gratitude to everyone who made this film: the director, screenwriter, producers, amazing talented actors, cameramen, sound engineers, musicians and everyone, who put their hand and hard work to create the picture.
I liked the movie a lot. There were roughnesses, moments that evoked the effect of a surprisingly raised eyebrow in the inner skeptic, but more on that later. I would put the film 7/10 on my personal scale.
What I liked:
Of course, the picture quality. Views, terrain: this, by the way, was very surprising, since it never associated the Bremen musicians with any mountainous terrain. And here the very first shots of the film were set up to such an atmosphere when you are waiting for a miracle, well, or that Odin will now look out from behind the clouds and this: "Well, hello."
Some plot twists: I liked how interestingly brought together Troubadur and animals, as well as the connection of Troubadur with robbers.
The cast: all the scenes with Burunov and Khabensky was just incredibly nice to watch. Their characters turned out to be especially interesting, and the detective became the most ambiguous and mysterious figure with deep motivations, stunning dialogues, spectacular transitions. The detective, by the way, was not funny at all, kind of fascinating. And the king was a capricious uncle and a cowardly ruler, and by the end revealed himself as a loving father and noble monarch. In short, for the king and detective alone, plus 1,000 to the karma of all involved.
The princess at first infuriated, but then very came - wayward girl, this is what you expect from this princess from Bremen.
Costumes, dances, scenery: here without much thought, just high! Especially came the scene of the dance of the Bremen musicians in the song “As you know, we are a hot people”, still very remembered and liked how did the scenes “Oh early the guards get up” and “I don’t want anything”. In general, just a picture visually pleasing to the eye, very great idea!
Here’s what left this doubtful feeling inside:
I didn't really like Troubadour and the animals. In terms of costumes and actors, everything is cool, but in terms of characters, expectations and embodiments diverged: in the cartoon, Troubadour was such an endlessly charismatic and cheerful starter, and animals fit him - strong, dexterous, cunning and such styles. In the film, Troubadour seemed eternally doubtful, pinched, angry (well, he was supposed to be, of course, but...), and, unfortunately, not charismatic. Until the last I was waiting for his character to reveal, but his acting seemed to me more like such a novice bandit who by the end repented.
About animals: a cool cat, an intelligent donkey, a narcissistic rooster and a pugnacious dog. Each character individually evokes sympathy, but does not correlate with the Bremen musicians: they were so cute brisk in the cartoon, and in the film became downtrodden, clamped animals with a victim complex, unclear motivations and the habit of peeking into the mouth of everyone you meet.
I also want to say about the music: Gladkov and Fadeev, mentioned in the composers for the film - this is, of course, a rather anecdotal story, from my point of view. Everyone is an amazing creator and a prolific composer, but I personally did not like the adaptation of Gladkov’s brilliant works to modern realities. On the one hand, I understand that this is done in order to get into the tastes of the younger generation, but on the other hand, Bremen musicians with their music lie on such a sacred shelf in the soul that the rap insert on “They say we are bucky-books” caused a sharp rejection, and the modernized style of vocalists in the performance of long-loving songs rather caused annoyance than delight. Because it is beautiful, but not to the place, from my point of view.
In general, it turned out to be a cool film that should give Bremen musicians a second wind: there are many chips in it that make it more accessible for mass perception. Daring characters, cool dances that can be repeated in short videos, soundtracks adapted to the tastes of today’s youth. But it was this campaign to the masses that caused internal protest in some scenes.
We went to the movie back in January. For a long time I thought how and what to write. One thing I understood at once is that it is good that directors pay attention to children’s films, albeit in this form, but pay attention. Let not everything work out, but they turn! The last children's fairy tales were filmed in the late 80s and early 90s and then a failure in 30 years!
1. I do not want to go into the script (although there are questions), to make any suggestions to the director. I will speak like a viewer who came with children to a children's film session.
What I liked:
1. Loved the views. The terrain is just gorgeous. The scenery is sophisticated and, as a result, just the masterful work of the operator. Costumes are good, although, it seemed that I saw part in the “Pike Order” and “The Last Bogatyr”.
2. Actors play. Initially, I wanted to see Miron Provorov. I still like this boy in the voice of a child. Very touching. Especially since he played and sang, it’s just something. And the song with his mother (Y. Peresild) was to the core, very sincere, tender. It’s hard to get me emotional, but then the tears came back (though not rolling): Here is a question to Tikhon Zhiznevsky (Trubadur) - somehow unconvincingly he came out, although knowing Tikhon's work (especially he likes in "Fire") in this film is not expressive, but in general not bad. I liked our old school in the face of Khabensky, Aronova and Burunov. But let me make a reservation, somehow Aronova and Burunov have recently become very annoyed. We don't have any other actors, do we? The robber from Aronova is a kind of vulgar, I don't know, strange feeling from her character. Lyapina was also able to show that she is a talented actress, young, daring, I think she still has everything ahead.
3. Music. I am glad that the music of Gladkov got a new life. New processing, new execution. I won’t say it’s good or bad, it’s just different.
As a result, these are the good old Bremen musicians of our childhood, only in a new package. And probably I will agree with this version of A.Nuzhny, otherwise it is impossible to convey something good and valuable to modern children.
Remember that story from Yeralash where the pioneers gathered to meet the writer? And a bright-eyed A.D. student who began his speech with the phrase “The plot of this work made a huge impression on me”? So, despite the fact that the plot of this movie has long been known, this interpretation made an indelible impression on me!
But first about the sad, and not even entering into a discussion, because these are my own impressions: yes - the entanglement is a little gloomy; yes - Trubadur has seven Fridays a week; yes - slightly changed the lyrics in the songs (not in all); Yes - actors in the roles of Troubadur and princesses do not fit with images from cartoons; Yes - more hundred little things. And? Can't you watch the movie? Yes, no, it can and should be watched, and after all, they are watching – we only got to the cinema today (and outside the window is January 20, by the way!) and the hall is still full! They laugh, they sing, and they laugh. When after the session, they went to the bus stop, they passed by two teenage girls who chanted “Nothing in the world is better than this...”, and there is a frost -25!
As one friend of mine said, “You can get to the pole!” But I will not be like some who do not see the forest behind the trees, although the forest has come out noble!
First, I really liked the almost complete absence of computer graphics already stuck in the teeth, the shooting was carried out on a very beautiful nature, and even Bremen itself was built, not painted, i.e. everything is like in the good old days (I, actually, not retrograde!);
Secondly, the animals were not painted and not even marked as in the same Soviet Red Riding Hood, where wolves in shape are the same people only in skins - the actors here made a chic makeup! But do not look for an explanation of their anthropomorphism, because if you ask questions of common sense in fairy tales and try to explain the inexplicable, the fairy tale will turn into a boring story from a textbook of physics or social science, which some critics have tried to do.
Thirdly: despite some illogical (remember the physics textbook!) narration and a certain confusion of the plot, which absorbed both parts of Soviet cartoons, this film looks quite lively, despite a slight slowdown in the first half of the picture.
Fourth: music, although it lost a couple of songs from the originals, but acquired a couple of new, sung, I believe, by the actors themselves.
Conclusion: not so bad, despite the dominance of negative reviews, which is surprising to me.
P.S. No one has yet noted the participation in episodic roles of kwans (I give a hint: one of the guards, the other of the robbers). In the list of actors their names are not, although the roles they had with the text. But that's a flaw in Movie Search. Alas.

I went with my daughter to the Bremen Musicians 2024. The initiator was the daughter, she really likes the Soviet cartoon and songs from it, and when we saw the trailer for this project in the cinema, she unequivocally said ‘Daddy Come!’
Like any child in our country, brought up on domestic cartoons, the reworking of musicians, without exaggeration of the holy for us and our childhood film, treated more like hands off! Truly after the Carlsons, the irony of fate and other bottoms to expect something clear from our cinema in terms of remakes, I did not even hope.
And how glad I was wrong. After this film, I seriously consider Alexei Needy one of the best directors in Russia. It is a matter of boundless respect for the source material. The guys treated the story with such reverence, to the songs from the animated film 69, that I just want to shake hands.
This is not a word-for-word translation. The story is told again, it is not like what we know. Troubadour meets us as a young boy, before whose eyes his mother (Julia Peresild) dies, after which he performs the “Ray of the Golden Sun” as a reproach to fate. On his way, he meets an atamansha (Maria Aronovaa), who uses his talent for personal gain and betrays him.
After a long time in prison, an adult troubadour (Tikhon Zhiznevsky) will have to find new friends (the cat is Irina Gorbachev, the donkey is Dyuzhev) and the love of his life. He will stumble, betray and be betrayed, but the music in his heart, hope, all-conquering love and friendship can break any adversity and lead him out of impasse and despair.
It’s a great Russian movie, and that doesn’t happen often. The best role of Tikhon Zhiznevsky, who came to me in Topya, but was completely inappropriate in the Thunder. The king of the land, the king of the land, the king of the land. All this is seasoned with rock treatments of old well-known songs, and a number of new ones. Valentina Lyapina (princess) - the opening of the film, clever, not lost against the background of the mass of eminent colleagues.
Separately, I will note the brilliant camera work of Igor Grynyakin (Cheburashka, Admiral, Moving Up), very beautiful natural shootings, plans for performances, scenes with flights. I shake my hand, very tightly removed.
As a spoonful of tar, kringe costumes of musicians - animals, several vulgar or inappropriate jokes. You can see a budget deficit in some places. There's work to do. Locations are few, the scenery is somewhere perfectly spelled out, somewhere barely marked with broad strokes, but I think the budget all rested.
But we still have one of the best Russian films of recent years. I am glad that in addition to historical films and detectives, children’s films have begun to be made. After Cheburashka, this is the second success with reshoots of the old children's cinema.

Did I like the Bremen Musicians? Yes rather than No, but I was constantly thrown in different corners of the ring "For" and "Against" because not everything is so clear.
On the one hand, a well-known fairy tale, bright heroes and cult songs, but on the other - a lot of roughness that knocks positive emotions out of sight. The first thing that catches the eye is the wonderful Burunov in the image of the King. In some incredible way, thanks to the inexhaustible organics, Sergei manages to pull even the most inexpressive images. It is worth remembering Lieutenant-Colonel Yakovlev from the "Police from Rublyovka", which, in fact, is the most vile character, whose image was built on aggression, vulgarity and stupidity. But Sergey turned him into a hilarious imbecile, whom you love despite the game. It is frightening to imagine what would have happened if his role was played by another actor, although we already have a rough idea thanks to the prequel “The Policeman from Rublyovka”. Anyone who saw it knows what a horror and nightmare it was.
As a result, Burunov, even with his small role, managed to confidently draw the audience’s attention to himself, leaving behind the inconspicuous main characters. Of course, Burunov’s ideal company was Maria Aronova in the image of Atamanshi. Maria and Sergey, it's like a flash royale that put the entire cast of the film on its shoulder blades. According to the organic and depth of the characters, no one stood next to them. The positive aspects can be attributed to Irina Gorbachev in the role of the Cat. The image turned out to be charming and whole. But most of all surprised the Donkey performed by Dmitry Dyuzhev. It seemed to be a fierce kringe, but in the end the character turned out to be pleasant. The Rooster and the Dog are a complete failure. There's nothing to say about the Rooster. It is disgusting even from the outside. It was scary to look at him, let alone listen to his incomprehensible speeches. With the Dog a little better, but Roman Kurtsyn greatly overdid the game and as a result, instead of a thoroughbred serious dog, he showed the image of a hyperactive small mongrel. The image of the detective was also interesting. In the cartoon, he is an active, daring and self-confident professional in his field, and in the film he turned out to be sluggish and faceless. Konstantin Khabensky made of his hero a tired pensioner, who, although he did not lose a sharp smell, but is far from cake.
As for the main characters, each individually is self-sufficient and good, that Lyapina in the role of Princess, that Zhiznevsky in the image of Troubadur. But as a couple, they don’t look together. The actors have an age difference of almost 15 years. Princess Turboduru is more of a daughter than a mistress. But, as they say, love all ages are submissive, so we move on.
Separately, I want to cancel the musical component. When I saw Max Fadeev in the credits, it gave me a certain hope, because he is one of the best composers in the country. But at the end of the film, I did not feel the music, although it is a full-fledged musical. In the cartoon, music was the engine of the whole story, and in the film it was not possible to do this. I dare to assume that this is the fault of the lack of understanding of the director, what is a musical, and how to shoot it. After all, there are many songs in the film, but everything turned out inexpressive and inorganic. This is it!
Troubadour is a boy who sings flowers while his mother sells them in the kingdom of Bremen. The mother falls under the ice and dies. Troubadour goes to the kingdom himself. He charms the crowd with his singing. This decides to use the local robber, using Troubadura as a distraction to rob the counters. However, Troubadur is put in prison, and the robber manages to escape. Having come to light already grown up, Troubadour goes in search of her in order to shake off her debt for lost childhood.
Yes, you got it right by a lot of favorite cartoons made a movie. In answer to the question, ‘Has our childhood been bullied?’, I tell you no, there have been no inappropriate projections of contemporary political situations, the departure from the source has been quite competent. However, it was decided to move away from sincerity in the presentation of the plot, but not to the end. The banter was over the details of the original cartoon, it is obvious that those who wrote jokes in the script was funny because of how stupid their fairy tale looks when seriously served. In order to get rid of this unpleasant feeling, when the soul is wide open, because he forgot to button up, half the film was served on a saucer with a drawing of a clown, but sincere moments pressing a tear or a smile of tenderness also left. And this, on the one hand, is good, because the indignation of fans of the original cartoon can only cause a question with the so-called furries - humanized animals in the face of members of the band "Bremen Musicians". Everything else causes only a smile or at least no shame. On the other hand, it was fun for those who were too old for cartoons or wanted to see the work in a new way. I am a supporter of absolute ideas. I like both frugal and sincere works. But I'm not happy with half a head. There are movies like Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man where frankness and frankness merge and a masterpiece comes out. "Bremen Musicians" is an example of how not to combine sincerity and banter. Now we're sincere, cry, and five minutes later we're laughing from the fart of a donkey and the king pendel. Gentlemen writers and gentlemen of the screenwriters, you will jump on the polar meanings of humor and pathos, and you need to carefully walk along the border. While many people may like this emotional swing, I don’t like it. But it was not boring, thanks for that.
Beautiful scenery and costumes give the impression that this is the same fairy-tale and kind world, and special effects do not look pretentious, unlike many other adaptations of children's cartoons. Songs from the original cartoon adapted very skillfully, I did not have a Spanish shame, even the pleasure was. I have no questions about the art of shooting, but I did not notice anything remarkable. The actors are pleasant, well coped with the roles, constantly wandering from sincerity to hahanka hahanka.
Good attraction, not worse than the average adaptation of comics.

You can scold the film as much as you like, that the animals are not the same, the songs are wrong, the plot is not the same. But this is primarily a feature film (meaning there is fiction and its plot twists), and the second film is based on the cartoon (the director has his own vision and his director's moves).
I really liked the film, the songs that were familiar from childhood were originally played. There are new songs. Actors are selected to the point (Burunov-King, Aronov-Atamansha, etc.)
The movie has a very beautiful musical. A touching story about the life of the troubadour, complementing and revealing his story and personality, starting with his childhood. Incredibly beautiful landscapes and shots. Something new and fresh, looks like a beautiful and wonderful fairy tale.
In general, the film talks about eternal values. The main idea underlying the plot, I liked, or rather, these are two ideas: love can correct a lot, and also what to sing, and, in general, create, you need the heart.
People in the cinema, by the way, with pleasure sang along and sat out of the hall with happy faces. That's the point!
Remaking Soviet cartoons by modern directors is always an experiment, and ' Bremen musicians' unfortunately, the experiment is unsuccessful.
The beginning is very crumpled, the childhood of Troubadour is tortured and especially stupid in the moment with prison. Interactions with the Atamance he for the whole film nothing, and at the end she for some reason ' as a mother '. There is no sense of friendship between the animals and the protagonist. In the cartoon, they have one goal, one philosophy, and in this film adaptation, Troubadour is led by Atamance’s revenge, so he does not fit with wandering musicians. They are not united by music and freedom.
What spoils the impression the most is some strange and incomplete rendition of songs from the original. And the problem here is not in the artists, but in the updated musical track. Although the song Atamanshi still causes me horror with its rap part and shooting in the style of a music video. But it is worth noting that some songs have found a new life.
As for the selection of actors, everything is difficult. The king, performed by Burunov, is simply gorgeous. His arrogance, capriciousness and pettiness are perfectly played by the actor. Songs are not just sung, but lived. Detective Khabensky is not inferior to the King, although his signature song is not so well performed. That's what upset me, Tikhon Zhiznevsky. It looked organically in Topya, Major Thunder or Fire. From his Troubadour you can not erase this untale boyish pronunciation of the lines. Perhaps here played a role simultaneous shooting of the second part of thunder and Bremen. The princess is capricious and insolent (here is the problem of the character, not the actress), the love between her and the main character is somehow pretended, there is a feeling that she does not love him at all. Well, about the slightly frightening makeup of animals I will be silent, here it is easy to see.
In conclusion, the film was made lazy. Reshoot the cartoon could be really beautiful and high-quality, but in the film the minuses clearly outweigh the minuses.
It seems that the word “kringe” has another elegant (or not very) synonym – “Musicians of Bremen”. The film released by Alexei Needy is a grotesque and extremely uncomfortable spectacle, which is impossible to watch.
It all begins with a disgustingly manipulative exposition in which, in three minutes, the authors explain the “depth” of Trubadur’s childhood trauma. After trying to brazenly squeeze a tear from the viewer, the movie dramatically changes the vector and turns into a shameful performance. Amorphous animals appear (which could well be replaced by people and endowed with the traits of the character of these animals – it would be much more reasonable), the stupidest plot moves and false images.
Yes, here you can hear those songs from cartoons that our audience loved and entered the cultural code. However, apart from trying to go out on cult songs (again - in disgusting arrangements), the movie is nothing unique and shows flat characters, completely deprived of depth and chemistry with each other. This is just a bad absurdist story that denigrates the merits of the eponymous Soviet cartoons.
The movie has a very clear message – in the heart of everyone lives a song that brightens the path to a dream. There’s no anti-moralizing about it, the film will definitely find its viewer — who probably doesn’t know much about movies.
A ray of golden sun, darkness hid the veil. And between us again, suddenly the wall grew.
Honestly, I didn’t want to go to this movie because of fears that a great cartoon of childhood will spoil. For the most part, the fears were confirmed...
There are not many advantages, but they are. First, a pretty beautiful picture and a good shot. Second, some of the actors were very impressed, later on. Thirdly, some songs are very interesting and well-performed, it is especially pleasant. That's where the big pluses ended. The disadvantages, unfortunately, are much greater. Speaking of actors, I was very impressed by Miron Provorov (Troubadour as a child), who perfectly sang and played his small role. Tikhon Zhiznevsky was not familiar to me and I saw him for the first time. He played the role of Troubadour well and was pleasantly surprised. One of my favorite Russian actors, Sergei Burunov, also played the role of the King very well and perfectly embodied the image of childhood in life. As for the Brilliant Investigator performed by Konstantin Khabensky, I think the character is well made, but some episodes with his participation greatly confused me. Maria Aronova, in my humble opinion, played the Atamansha unsuccessfully. The claim is not to the acting, but rather to the director (Alexey Necessary), who decided to portray this character so strangely. In the cartoon, Atamance looks dangerous, domineering and passionate woman, and here I don’t even know what. Valentina Lyapina played the Princess. I don't know, maybe I think, but this character didn't quite succeed either.
Beasts. No, I understand. The animals had to do something, and it was difficult anyway. The actors were made up for 3 hours each shooting day, and the plastic makeup was created by the artist Peter Gorshenin. With all due respect to their work, I believe he was not acquitted. And acting with their animal habits was ridiculous and inappropriate, and often even caused Spanish shame. I have no questions about the plot, I will not criticize it, but as for me nothing special. I also want to add that the kingdom could be made more solid and larger, or as if a children's morning.
Songs. I love the songs from the animated film Bremen musicians and was afraid that they would spoil them here. Some compositions were made even better, while others were badly spoiled either by singers or by a modified text (in particular, The Song of Atamanschi).
In general, everything turned out sadly and it is sad, hurtful.

Anxious donkey with panic attacks, carte cock-narcissist, cat
An alarming donkey with panic attacks, a carte cock-narcissist, a cat (at first glance a cat) with the habits of Captain Jack a sparrow and dog-new Bremen musicians.
Visually, the cat and the donkey turned out to be cool, but the dog, like a stuffed out of some old meme, not like a real animal, is kringe. The rooster could be made better visually, but in general you get used to it.
Trubodur - very much liked the character, colorful, even at some point felt all his love for the princess.
There were a lot of emotional moments, sad, funny, very eventful story, not plagiarism on the old cartoon. It was interesting to watch.
I'm so excited about the movie! More than once caught myself feeling that I am sitting in the theater and watching it all live.
Some of the songs that were sung by other new voices were worse for me than the original. Somehow I did not reach the emotions, for example, my favorite “we are bucky beech”, but also in many songs there were new inserts (rap, rock) – that was just fire.
In general, the film looks modern, but at the same time like a fairy tale.
Vaibami reminded Alice in Wonderland.
Lots of funny little things.
Songs were not enough.

The best thing I've seen in Russian lately? I'm impressed! Good, emotional film.
Take the kids away from the screens. There they drown faith and burn guitars.
We're going to talk about another remake. About the thrash film version of the famous Soviet cartoon - about the "Bremen Musicians" (2023) directed by Needy. Those parents who trusted the plaque 6+ and went to the cinemas, taking their children with them, did very recklessly, to say the least. Let’s talk about everything in order.
It all started from the very first minutes of the film. A boy with a strange name (not a nickname, but a name given to him from birth) sings an absolutely wonderful song. The director, as it were, sets us up for a wonderful continuation of the magical entanglement... when suddenly, unexpectedly for the viewer, the owner of the “magic voice of Gelsomino” loses his mother under very gloomy circumstances. Why Alexei Needy chose such a turn, knowing that his “fairy tale” will come to watch children, I am not entirely clear. Sitting like this, five-year-old, with an open mouth, the New Year, waiting for a miracle... And suddenly, before your eyes, someone’s mother is brutally murdered. Well, well, Lyosha did not guess that Trubadura could be brought up by an aunt (she also gave him such a nickname, but in fact he ...) Paul? Chris? Oleg? Yes, Oleg! Why not? ... But why did he not go further and show us and our young offspring how his father died (in addition to his mothers)? Was it a car accident or cancer? And was it even the father, or Masha’s mother, who carved Trubadur out of the tulip?
But let's go further... Let's skip the frankly underplayed scenes. For example, the dull and drawn-out scene of the princess throwing out the crown, shot, by the way, like all the panoramic scenes of nature in this film, on a green background in the creepy computer resolution, could be much more fun if the dog brought her back. This would be remembered much more than stupid toilet jokes ala "I've already marked everything here."
And the scene of burning musicians alive (how do you like such thrash content, children?) could have ended more logically if the fire was extinguished not only by a stupid cock (in the film he was the dumbest after a dog hero), but also by water from the bathtub accidentally overturned by Atamance. Otherwise, why was this vessel standing at the wide open balcony? Surely not because the royal family suffered bouts of exhibitionism? Although, no, I have suffered many times. But how are the classics? “If in the first act you put a gun on the wall, in the last act it must shoot. Otherwise, don't hang him. With the bathroom, neither the Chekhov pistol, nor the gun, alas, did not happen. It seems that Alexei and I have different ideas about acts.
Let’s go back to the burning of animals in the cart. I am cynical and nervous, but even I was stunned. Even I, far from being five-year-old, was genuinely afraid that Necessary would not be sentimental and would do the same as I did with my mother and a house in the mountains. I expected the heroes to suffocate and burn alive! What kind of sick storyteller do you need to be, what kind of perverse brain do you have to expose the psyche of a young viewer to such inhuman trials, and even on the eve of the new year and Christmas? Why didn’t they just put animals in prison? Why was it from cute fairy-tale villains to make fascists and arrange scenes of Khatyn?
I would like to describe these two scenes so as not to stretch my review. And I will not criticize the creepy and frankly frightening (not like in the movie “Mother” about goats) masks of animals, I will not tear down the ragged and illogical scenario, in which there are many scenes that we love from the cartoon, such as the exposure of musicians disguised as people, like the night kidnapping of a rooster by robbers ... I will not complain about the fact that in addition to these scenes in the film, there were no musical hits “Bayu-Bayu-Bayu” and “Romantics from the High Road” (And how my wife and I waited for them). Until the very end, they did not believe that they would not... How sad we were not to hear them. But, we heard a few incomprehensible why written new songs and the most terrible arrangement of “Daily on the King” accompanied by hellishly boring and ugly hoarse-false (in the cartoon Atamish sang in a low, but beautiful voice) performance of Aronova.
I will not criticize Khabensky for playing either young Vladimir Basov or Togo Munchausen himself. In the end, Tikhona and the director dressed in “Zorro”, and Aronov made to hairdress. So everyone played - "it will work for a children's movie", forgetting that children, although they believe in miracles and fairy tales, but they do not believe in sham magicians and fake spells.
There was no magic in this movie. Not for children or adults. Instead of a drive musical, we saw a thrust with drive elements that did not justify our hopes. Instead of a good story, we saw inconclusive stage chaos with elements of thrash content.
What would I wish the viewer? Take a look at the 1973 film of the same name. Save your children from mediocrity. In their lives, this very mediocrity and other horrors will be very much. So don't let the cumulative effect happen.
And for some acting efforts, for King Burunov, Princess Lyapina, Trubadur Zhiznevsky and, separately, a guard with a gun, I will put this film remake of 2 stars instead of one.
We were on an extension put record with ' Bremen musicians' Warm feelings from childhood evoked songs. The cartoon continued these traditions. . .
The 2024 movie is ruining. If earlier the songs were the fabric of the narrative itself, the fairy tale itself, sung on behalf of the heroes, now the heroes are rushing for the #39 song of the year'... well, they compose songs for performances. Everything added to the old fairy tale causes rejection and does not fit with the spirit of the fairy tale.
For some reason, they invented the death of the mother of the troubadour, for some reason connected him with city thieves and put him in prison for 20 years, where, apparently, he combined imprisonment with training in Gnesinka. The king pendal... what vulgarity... was that supposed to be funny?
And finally, just horror... The musicians are burned in the wagon. They are in the midst of fire and smoke trying to escape ... and can not ... cruel scene, not from this fairy tale. Very different associations... Not fabulous! And then an erotic mulatto comes to the rescue at the head of the marching participants of the music competition, who expel the robbers who have just defeated the soldiers of the king.
Nope. Everything that the filmmakers added spoiled the order of the fairy tale and introduced contradiction and some cruelty to a good fairy tale, where even robbers were not terrible for children.
Even at the stage of the first glances in the visual of the film, when photos of the characters of the Donkey, the Cat, the Rooster and the Dog became available, there was a feeling that this decision would not benefit the new ' Bremen musicians'. The characters looked unnaturally and, rather, repulsed than attracted to the cinema.
I remember the beautiful Cat Basilio and Lisa Alice from The Adventures of Buratino and the Goat and Wolf from Mom in 1975 and 1976. Minimum costume, and it was believed that in particular Gurchenko and Boyarsky in their roles really animals.
Especially after such warm images from childhood, it was strange to see unnatural tense new heroes, besides, for some reason they changed the Cat to the Cat, filling the film with unfunny jokes from cats.
Personally, the only thing that motivated me to consider this film for viewing is conveniently temporarily missing from the premiere ' Wonka' and the near future of the session. In no other case, I would not even squeaky go to evaluate the obviously worse version than could offer still pleasant to the heart of the Soviet cartoon.
Without comparison it would be even strange, because the film diligently works for fan service, here and there throwing images, costumes and scenes from the famous cartoon.
But if the old cartoon took its integrity and soulfulness, then these ' Bremen musicians' copy what was once created on a very primitive level, and the new serves with stupidity and vulgarity. Perhaps the child’s eye could be fooled by theatrical scenery and curvatures, but even the children’s audience, I think, the bar is much higher than shown. . .
First of all, I was disappointed with the singing. The old cartoon for a long time entrenched in the memory of the audience with its melodic songs, good voices, flightiness, characteristic characters. There are some shadows of hits of the past, no interesting voices, no fresh arrangement - although it would seem at the helm of Maxim Fadeev and he could refresh the sound, if this was the task - but neither the spirit of freedom, nor solid heroes. I watched it, listened to it, and I forgot it five minutes after watching it, sharing it with my friends so they wouldn’t waste time. After ' Bremen musicians' another premiere 'Holop - 2' became just a treat for the eyes, which already says a lot.
Level ' Bremen musicians', well, very low, it is unclear why there are such big names as Sergey Burunov, Maria Aronova, Tikhon Zhiznevsky and why the performers of the role of animals - Irina Gorbachev and Dmitry Dyuzhev got involved in this adventure. Firstly, this is absolutely not a project of the level of these actors, and secondly, for example, Konstantin Khabensky aka The Brilliant Investigator frankly had little to play, and his line as a hero generally ends on nothing.
Personally, I absolutely do not understand why Tikhon Zhiznevsky after the role of Major Thunder to participate in the film, where he does not energize the energy of youth, as it was in the said cartoon, and constantly flashes in the frame with the face of a tired uncle, who somewhat outgrown the role of the troubadour.
The character of the princess looks quite teenage, the update did not benefit the character - she looks stupid and empty, vulgar and not at all interesting. How it could attract the attention of the main character remains a mystery.
As for the animal characters, they seem to be sewn into white threads, while in the old work they looked very organically, seemed to be an integral part of the invented world. Incarnated in the real world, they for some reason began to look for a person, a master, a leader and rushed almost to the feet of the troubadour, ' selling themselves for pennies' and therefore for the audience became small and faded. They made an old gentleman out of a donkey for some reason. Such innovations were somehow in themselves, nothing new and in essence, in my opinion, they did not bring with them.
Aronova got a tough image, the party of robbers was so pretty, but as a character attracted attention. It wasn't without a sweet ending. Looked template, and the image merged to the final in a common pink wool.
It was strange to watch the heroine of Julia Pereseld, ' who arrived for an hour' at the very beginning of the film. She seemed to set the tone on truthfulness, the theme of music and musician (somehow head-on, I would say) and put emphasis on the flowers she sold. According to the plot, everything was lost somewhere, and when something was remembered, it did not make a great impression. The actress herself looked played with some glued light smile ' kind mother'. It never became clear what they wanted to say in the scenes with her, except that cheating is bad, and singing your songs is good.
I hope that the second part will not follow, and if filmmakers touch on Soviet hits, they will approach the process with inspiration and responsibility, and not with the desire to enrich themselves on the audience who are bored in the New Year holidays. Help in the collections of the film should be its quality, not clearing from more successful competitors.
I fell in love with King Burunov in 'Bremen Musicians'. He is exactly the way I imagined him as a child. A caring father, capricious as a child and naive in his actions. So pretty that you want to hug and squeeze. It is a joy for my eyes and soul.
The plot in the new Bremen is of course well rewritten. And there you can count several finals at once. You think: ' That's it. Swamp, guilt awareness of heroes.' Nope. Wedding. That's it now. But not again.
I did not expect to see the terrible in a children's fairy tale: animals that makeup artists created. I understand that modern viewers after Avatar 39 and other films are very spoiled by American technology with realistic furry beasts on the screen. But hell, come to the movies in 2024 and see on the screen hats with ears in the spirit of the Soviet film ' Mom' with Gurchenko of the 1970s... It's such a terrible makeup.
Shit. It would be better to leave the reception, as in the film at Abdulov shot in the early 2000s, where the dog, donkey, cat, cat and rooster were played by actors with open faces and without animal makeup. It looked much more interesting and very rich in acting. And then I only learned in the credits that the fucked-up donkey is Dyuzhev.
I liked how the music from the old cartoon was woven into the plot. It was very musical. But it is a pity that Fadeev wrote additional songs. This is a contrast in sound with Gladkov. Gladkov's music is light, sunny, open, flies over space. I want to pick her up and sing at once. Fadeev has songs with noises, indistinct in sound, as if they were filled with cotton, the melody seems to fall to the ground only when born, about flight we are not talking at all. You can’t put it side by side, too obvious contrast.
The scenery and costumes of the heroes are bright, juicy and a single style is observed. The King's costume, an obvious humorous reference to Louis the 14th Sun King. What, for example, is not in the Abdulov film adaptation, where you can find outfits and objects of all eras, such a heap of mallet in one frame.
It’s nice to see scenes that look like storyboards from a favorite cartoon, such as the king’s swim walk. That's his guard and the little guard who's carrying the gun. Very funny moment.
Princess sweet, Troubadour, okay. Atamanche and her role are quite unexpected. The detective is always eccentric. But the views of the expanses and mountains - just swing. You sit there and think, do we have such beauty?
The movie is good for watching and laughing.
I first read reviews online. Very controversial... And I realized that I would lose a lot if I didn’t see myself on the big screen.
The first shots are delightful: little Troubadour is so open, he personifies the future bright, beautiful, inquisitive; the future that we all see in children. He himself is like a promise that everything will come true and everything will be better than planned.
Of course, the inevitable disappointments and almost hopeless situations await him.
And I'm glad that the filmmakers didn't copy the masterpiece of animation. The film retained key roles and music and plot. But there are many new things that are close to the present time: sounds, images, the behavior of the characters and their relationship to the world and each other. It is nice that the fairy tale turned out to be kind, giving hope that you can find the strength to dream, fight, win and forgive.
People on the internet argued about the animal masks used in the film for Bremen musicians, and after watching it, I support those who wrote that it turned out to be an interesting effect. You quickly get used to masks and begin to understand them ' facial expressions ' although it is completely inhuman.
Thank you to the actors and everyone who worked on the film for returning to childhood.
When the credits were played, the children danced in the hall. They definitely liked it.
It is very good that I did not read absolutely any reviews, reviews, and did not watch the trailer of this film.
I am an animated film ' Bremen musicians' I do not particularly love, do not suffer from wild childish nostalgia and aspirational piety for it - just a cartoon ' one of...'. Songs, yes, everyone knows. The plot is simple, the drawing is not detailed, the music is good, good old cartoon. Therefore, to compare with the canon - I think completely stupid. A lot of films in the form of remakes have become incredibly boring when repeating 90% of the plot and re-chanting without novelty. And the people are spoiled.
Marvel and DC are completely bored.
'Humpbacked Horse', 'Cheburashka', ' By Pike Order' - everyone watched, and I can say with confidence that the Russian cinema is reviving, definitely!
' Bremen musicians' shot quality! The family went to the cinema and did not regret it. In general, there are no logical holes in the plot. A cartoon exposition where the logic is also so simple - childish. The actors were awesome. Burunov is 100% king. Atamansha was not depicted according to the canon - and this is a thing. Troubadour is funny, without vulgarity and sexualization of the image, adult hints, compressions inappropriate for a children's film. Princess, too, girl girl.
When it comes to animals, they get scolded in a lot of reviews, but by the end of the movie, you don't pay attention. Here, by the way, one of the logical breaks of the plot immediately begs the question: why do animals look like animals in clothes? Screenwriters had to think through and either among ordinary people to make the inhabitants of still humanized animals, or to play how this four appeared in Bremen. Because this question arises immediately, and it is unclear how you can not like a cat with such a furry tail, and why the rooster considers himself a star. But the children, to be honest, did not bother with this question (specially asked her later).
And in the movie itself, in the arson scene, when the song started, it really asked for rain! As the image of the mother of Troubadour, in the form of an answer to them (with her mother) song! It was necessary to let the rain first, like ' the mother answered all the same ' (and he asked by the water), and only then would everything else. And let it be banal, but logically and closed would be the line with my mother.
With the atamans - very beautifully done, soulful!
The detective was beaten super. Not cartoonish, with his own character.
Very beautiful views of nature - they should be seen on a large, colorful screen!
Songs! For this absolute, irrevocable and maximum plus! I’m generally delighted with how the voices were picked up, cleanly sung, the arrangements are good, especially since rock and metal! Then I just found out that Fadeev was engaged, yes, he did well. None of the songs were negative.
We went at lunchtime, on weekends, there were a lot of schoolchildren around. I thought it would be hard, chatter and crunch from chips and popcorn. Nope! Everyone was watching, empathizing. And that, I think, is an indicator.
In the distant seventies, Bremensky was scolded for “propaganda” of Western music. In the two thousandth “New Bremen” scolded for the transfer in the reality of the nineties. Alexander Abdulov’s film was defeated even by the authors themselves, and for everything. Is it time to scold the 2023 film? I'll try.
Bremen musicians would not have been born without the help of three talented artists. This is the poet Yuri Entin, actor Vasily Livanov and composer Gennady Gladkov.
Unfortunately, Gladkov died shortly before the premiere at the age of 89. Symbolic or not, it's up to you. The other two writers are still alive today, but sadly, were not invited as consultants or writers. I think it could have been better.
Plot.
The weakest part of the movie. In pursuit of originality and expansion of the “universe”, the team of directors came up with a kind of fanfiction that interferes with everything. Meanwhile, a trio of original authors wrote a play for theaters. It was called, oddly enough, not “Bremen Musicians”, but “Troubadour and his friends” and was written, among other things, to prevent the stupid crafts of “Bremensky” on the theater stage. And meanwhile, from the play it was possible to use dialogues, small plot moves and even... A new character. Yes, Entin, Livanov and Gladkov invented the Jester, wrote a beautiful sad song for him (you can find on the Internet performed by Boyarsky) The joke commented on the plot, made jokes, mocked the King, helped the main characters and even broke the fourth wall in the course of the action, which would be appropriate for the film. In nominal form, the character is present in Abdulov's film, but there he is wretched and dull, as is the film itself. You could use the play as a starting point for the script, but...
Characters.
All the characters tried to make not black and white (bad / good), but add contradictions. As a result, we have Troubadour with a prison past, a capricious narcissistic Princess who does not want to be sympathetic, a Stupid King who adores his fatherly duties. With some characters it works, in other cases it looks tense and tasteless. As a result, even Burunov and Aronova do not look so bright - the proposed circumstances make them look stupid. As a result, more luck for small characters who are not burdened by some unfortunate super-task. I like, for example, the Little Guard performed by Ilya Varankin.
Animals.
The work of make-up artists and animatronics is excellent, the game of animals is tolerable, in the personal rating Cat is in the first place, since she managed to keep most of her facial expressions under make-up. Most of all, the Donkey and the Rooster are wooden stuffed animals, inside of which actors are struggling to play back with their voices. If you look at the concept art, the production clearly turned in the wrong place in the process. A lot of design changes, including clothing. As a result, the costumes came out visually heavy and interfere with plastic.
The visual part.
The scenery, costumes, landscapes are beautiful, the money in this regard worked out well. References to the original, like the red Troubadour suit or the Guards armor design, are pleasing. At the same time, technological innovations (for example, microphones and electric guitars) are present in the most adequate quantity, the film does not go into steampunk or the like. The picture is nice.
Songs.
One of the biggest troubles. None of the actors is strong in vocals - not even in terms of the beauty of the voice, it is enough to recall the dramatic artists Boyarsky or Mironov. The caste voices are faded and uncharismatic. The sluggish arrangement of the original songs and voices, toned up by autotyun, do not go to any comparison with the original, and as an independent unit, they are also performed ineptly. New songs and rap inserts written by Fadeev and the director do not fit into the overall style and do not represent artistic value. The funniest thing you could do without new songs. Or turn to the third cartoon, in which for all its criticism, there are many good compositions with original music by Gladkov and ask live Entin to write another version of the text. For example, in the third cartoon, there is a scene where the animals teach Troubadour’s son the main song and take turns singing verses, at the end of each of which one line is born from the Song of Friends. Rewrite the text in these verses on the necessary meaning - and the scene of the composition of the "hit" in the middle of the new film will be ready. But alas, Fadeev composes something that has no form and memorable melody. Even from the point of view of common sense, the songs are used foolishly. Why does a little Troubadour, six years old, suddenly start singing “The Ray of the Sun”, a lyrical serenade? In the cartoon, she is justifiably born from the inability to reunite with the Princess, when Troubadour has a strong emotional experience, the result of which is a musical number. What did a six-year-old boy go through to sing a song like that on a rooftop? More suitable, for example, a cheerful "March parade".
And of course, there is a standard disease - household pronunciation. Troubadour and the Princess, as if they had just climbed out of a Moscow nightclub. The final highlight of the program is the failed lines. This often spoils the impression of acting. Tormented repetitive “Hello” from the mouth of Troubadour, the King’s stupid jokes about the closet, “rebranding” from the Princess and the like.
After watching the movie, I had mixed feelings. You can watch the movie, but you won’t lose anything if you miss it. I am undoubtedly glad that good children's songs are not forgotten and continue to sound, encouraging to familiarize yourself with the original. That people are ready again and again to go to the cinemas on seemingly old, no one interested in modern realities material. And it seems that children's cinema began to steadily appear on the screens, not dropping in quality to openly vulgar manifestations.
I remember an interview in which Yuri Entin was asked how he felt about new films, songs and performances with his poems, and he said (literally) - "I have a rule, I allow everything." If it works out well – and I’m fine, and if it’s bad – I’m fine too, because everyone will say the original was better! And Entin has repeatedly said that he has a dream - to revive a children's song. Only now does it require some rich oligarch to understand that it is possible to make money from it. Perhaps someone finally realized that you can do the same with children’s movies. Make money. Only here it is necessary to do, enlisting the help of talented and intelligent directors, poets, screenwriters. And then we will see a really decent sequel or remake of old films, and maybe a completely new movie. And the creators will deserve to receive money, and the audience - laughter and joy.
5 out of 10
When I first saw the trailer for the new 'Bremen Musicians' I immediately decided to revise the original. And what a surprise I was when I saw it, when I realized that there was no dialogue in the cartoon, but I remembered the whole plot. The motives of the heroes, their characters and distinctive features were clear. And all this is thanks to animation and songs. The music and songs written by Gennady Gladkov are what made Bremen Musicians 39 classics of Soviet cinema. The level of their quality is primarily indicated by the fact that even half a century later they continue to live and sound, even outside the cartoon. If you look at the narrative in the original cartoon, then everything is in its place, for 2 cartoons for 20 minutes, the viewer is shown the whole story, which in the end does not cause any questions. Everything is in its place. By the way, an interesting fact about the lines in the cartoon. Moments where someone says something, but does not sing, there are only animals, such as meow, kukarika, woof and so on. Thus, it is the animals that are the only 'speaking' characters of the original.
Having dealt with the original, I propose to see what the modern version of the Bremen Musicians ' can bring.
Let's start with the pros. The first 15 minutes of the film, before the appearance of animals (and if we do not seriously consider the conclusion from the story of the mother), this is an entertaining and original story that exists ' based on the original and tries to reveal the characters of Trubadur and Atamance, creating from the most popular song of the original ' The ray of the sun is golden ' a kind of leitmotif of history.
Also, the King and the Detective received their disclosure as characters (although some moments in the story are then forgotten for some reason, but about this later). The new film shows the king as a cowardly but not evil character. He has isolated his kingdom and does not open the gates for fear of robbers (interestingly, in the end his fears come true and he was right). In the beginning, we are told that there is very little money left in the kingdom, which is realistic and logical. After all, they live in isolation, there is no trade, accordingly, there is no new money in the treasury either. (That's my guess.) And then the daughter begins to resent and wants a free life and preferably outside the kingdom. In short, there's a lot of problems. And all this is wonderfully played by Sergey Borunov. The detective is no longer just evil, but simply does his job and shows his genius & #39; and even admits his mistakes and tries to correct them. In general, some characters were worked on, and this is commendable.
You can also praise the visual part of the film. The scenery of Bremen, Troubadour houses and forests look beautiful and fabulous. I do not know how it came out, but, for example, in the recent ' By pike order' although similar work was done on the scenery and costumes, but the effect was different, and the atmosphere of the fairy tale turned out to be conveyed in ' Bremen musicians'.
From the pros, I will move on to the points of contention. It’s not bad, it’s controversial, they don’t make the film much worse, but if they had been treated differently, it could have gotten better in some ways.
The first is, of course, the implementation of animals in the film. At some points it looks good (especially the cat), but the clumsiness of makeup and costumes greatly limits the actors, making the already difficult to implement characters even more difficult. In the original, all animals were essentially one whole, and the differences between them were created due to style and animation. Here everyone tried to come up with their own distinctive features of characters and even added an interesting idea about the difference between people and animals. But it all stays somewhere in the middle of the movie, and the animals as characters are just a story. If you remove them and leave only Troubadour, history will not change much.
Controversial moments can also include the story of the princess and Troubadour. The difference between actors is 15 years!! I understand that Zhiznevsky is a class actor and his "Good Charisma" & #39; in principle fits Troubadour. But I would look for someone younger.
If you compare again with ' By pike order' then there was a greater hit in the character, and even despite the fact that Kologryvyi is also not very young, still looks organic. The princess looks good, but her existence in the film is more infuriating than delighting, and in some places it is too much.
Let’s move on from the main issue of the film, in my opinion. He cannot decide for himself what he is. In some places they play moments from the original with songs from the original, and it looks good overall. But then they begin to greatly complicate everything, add, and then mix the inventions with moments from the original, which in the end looks very bad. Also a big problem in my opinion are new songs written specifically for the film. Maxim Fadeev was responsible for them. And I'm sorry, it's just garbage. Typical modern pop without any note of soul. And it would be fine if these songs existed on their own, but they exist parallel to the original songs and in contrast strongly lose to them.
In addition to adding new songs, they also removed some of the songs from the original, such as 'Loud Lullaby'. And the title song of the musicians treated somehow strange: if in the original it sounds at the beginning and at the end, thereby ringing the story, then it sounds only at the end and it appears out of nowhere, because in the film we first say that the animals themselves can not invent a song, so they always needed someone, troubadour or princess. Then all of a sudden they start singing a song they made up, and then the princess and the troubadour come running and start singing along. The question of how they know her, too, remains open.
What can I say at the end? I think I liked the movie more than I did not. I think that if you take out new songs (or make them at the level of the original, which is almost unrealistic) and in some moments rewire the film, adding and removing a couple of scenes, it would be a good fairy tale that pays tribute to the original and brings new ideas. But we have what we have. I am glad that after a new wave of popularity, the original will get a new life and will interest young viewers.
Disgusting! It's bad! There was a lot more realism in the movie than in this one. Terrible dialogue, terrible singing. Several times I wanted to quit watching, barely forced myself to watch the delusional finale. For such films, it is necessary to introduce punishment for the creators in the form of excommunication from cinema for 5-10 years. For a repeat offence, excommunicate for life.
Once again, unfortunately, I am faced with the fact that in films, the target audience of which is ' stupid kids', the screenwriter completely forgets that he has to work. Troubadour's motivation jumps back and forth, like all the other characters who behave at least illogically.
In response to any problem, our gifted convict (in this film, Trubadour was in prison for almost 10 years) responds that ' well, I have my song' The first couple of times it looks romantic, then it looks like complete idiocy. Such a character is impossible to empathize, he does not think about the consequences of his actions.
Does the calculation that the children behind the beautiful (there are no questions arise) visual and familiar soundtrack (for some reason seasoned with modern processing, which kills all magic) will not notice this?
It was a good story, why unearth a patchwork blanket and try to reassemble, stitching white threads?
To be fair, I want to say a sincere thank you to the actors who with their skill at least somehow soften the stupidity of their characters. Zhiznevsky, Lyapina, Burunov and Aronova coped on ' Excellent'. Animals are not bad (the rooster has won my heart), but the way they look makes them wrinkle unpleasantly.
Children are not fools, accept this and endow the characters with intelligence, not cliche replicas of romantic heroes, not supported by further action and common sense.
