Short film “Drama” – adaptation of the play of the same name A.P. chekhova . The picture is, in turn, a film version of the play and was shot to the centenary of the birth of Anton Pavlovich Chekhov.
The film "Drama" tells about the famous writer Pavel Vasilyevich, who intends to have a great rest in the country. However, just before his departure, a strange lady appears in the door, calling herself his friend Murashkina. This person tearfully implores the writer to appreciate her work – the drama “What did the nightingales sing?” Protracted tedious reading Pavel Vasilyevich to make it will not be so easy ...
The roles in this short film were performed by outstanding actors. Boris Tenin . The brilliant Ranevskaya managed to increase Chekhov’s short story almost threefold. Thanks to her talent, the character Murashkina acquired a unique, completely unusual character. Olga Leonardovna Knipper-Chekhova, the widow of Anton Pavlovich, always reverent about any alterations of his work, was delighted with the version of the play that Ranevskaya proposed. close

Inhabitants depicts animals in panic: the film is mostly filled with shots of mass migrations and stampedes (some, surprisingly, filmed from a helicopter). The title equalizes the species of the earth. Artavazd Peleshian merely alludes to the presence of human beings—a few silhouettes that seem to be the cause of these vast, anxious movements of animal fear. In many ways, this film is an ode to the animal world that moves toward formal abstraction, with clouds of silver birds pulverizing light. Peleshian said, “It’s hard to give a verbal synopsis of these films. Such films exist only on the screen, you have to see them.” close
