John Marwood Cleese is a comedy actor, producer and screenwriter, born on October 27, 1939 in Weston Super Mare (UK). In 1963, after graduating from college, John Cleese tried himself as a screenwriter in the TV show “The Frost Report”, and from October 1969 to December 1974 he was part of the cast of the sketch show “The Flying Circus of Monty Python”. In 1968, John Cleese married actress Connie Booth, with whom he co-wrote the scripts for the series Fawlty Towers. Together they also played major roles. The series was placed at the top of the list of the 100 best British television programs and received two BAFTA awards.
