Valentin Ivanovich was born in 1921 in Samara on January 21. Participated in the war with the Nazis, demobilized in 1945, after victory, when he entered the VGIK at the script faculty.
The greatest success in Yezhov’s career is Grigory Chukhray’s film The Ballad of a Soldier. The film conquered not only the Soviet public - it was recognized abroad, the picture was nominated for a number of high-profile film awards, including the Oscar for the original script and the Gold of Cannes as the best film, won the British Film Academy award for the best film.
In total, during his professional career, Valentin Ivanovich became a screenwriter or co-author of the script for more than fifty films. Among them are such famous as “White Sun of the Desert” and “Siberias”. He also wrote a number of plays.
He died on May 8, 2004.
