The Soviet comedy “Shveik is preparing for battle” was filmed by Clementi Mints and Maria Mitina based on the famous book by Yaroslav Gashek about the brave soldier Shveik. The film consists of two novels, entitled “Fashion of Paris” and “The Last Crusader”. In order to rescue their colleague, languishing in the dungeons of the Gestapo, Czech patriots decide on a daring adventure. In the local zucchini, they stage a wedding, where the role of the groom will be performed by Schweik. close

The collection consists of six novels ("Exactly seven", "Elixir of cheerfulness", "Receiver of disasters", "The bravest", "True patriot", "White crow"), united by interludes with the participation of Schweik (V. Chancellor), who found himself in the fascist concentration camp of the hero of the novel Yaroslav Hasek. The content of the novels consists of his stories about the fight against fascist occupiers, which he addresses to new friends. In the conclusion of the film collection, the commandant of the concentration camp orders Joseph Schweik to be shot. However, bullets made for the Nazis by Czech patriots do not take a merry soldier.

Two of the boys come home with perfectly normal girls, but the youngest brother, Ivanushka, brings home a frog from the marshes. His father finds this most curious, but what he does not know was that the frog was actually a beautiful girl named Vasilisa who was cursed by a magical serpent whom she refused to marry.
