Soviet theater and film actor Peter Ivanovich Shcherbakov was born on June 21, 1929 in the Kaluga region. After the war, the family of the future actor decided to move to Moscow. Peter got a job in the design office at the famous ZIL in the stamping and mechanical shop, his father also worked there. In the evenings he attended an automechanical technical school, and in his spare time he studied in a theater club at the factory. In GITIS, Peter Shcherbakov was enrolled immediately in the second year. After graduation, he went to Germany for three years to play in the theater of a group of Soviet troops.
After returning from Germany, Shcherbakov was enrolled in the troupe of the theater “Contemporary”. This was the first experience of self-government, when the directors of the theater were the artists themselves. Peter Shcherbakov headed the party organization of the theater. While in office, he did a lot for the Contemporary. No one dares to say how he managed to find a common language with party representatives, but the disgraced theater still worked, and for the most part it was the merit of Peter Shcherbakov.
Possessing a perfect appearance, Peter Shcherbakov was simply created for the roles of positive heroes.
